nice video im a year into owning this skimmer if someone getting just water check that inlet were the water inlet is it get s clogged at times also check outlet hole it can get clogged aside from it being level i love this skimmer . Note: Your Venturi Air-Inlet is hanginging outside the tank BELOW the water surface. It should be above. Use tacky putty to stack it topside some where to avoid overflow. Also, factor hose is grey, too short. Go buy a longer clear tube so it can stay above the tank. Secondly, trim the output tube to the bubble production diffuser. 1 in from the white filter. Do NOT set red collection cup dial to low or closed. Open ALL THE WAY. AFTER this go into the tank, and adjust (R65 MODELS) your flow control valve. This will dial in perfect skimming.
Hello. Hopefully you got the right settings by now. I've used one of these and it's not a bad little skimmer however, that outflow filter box is a TERRIBLE design flaw. My advice would be to remove it. You don't want ANY back pressure obstructing the outflow on your skimmer. That's what was causing yours to overflow. Remove that stupid filter box and open the regulator valve wide open and turn the red valve all the way open. As long as outlow is not obstructed, it will not overflow.
Brother you are not skimming at all. Try to let the pump run full and adjust the red knob to control the water level in the skimmer body. There should be a ton of micro bubbles in the reaction chamber.
Muslim360 the flow from the pump is to low try opening the red knob all the way and adjust the pump knob so that the water level is at the base of the collection cup. You have to have bubbles in the skimmer body otherwise it will not break in and or skim
I might buy another one because I need a small footprint for a weird 60 gallon pentagonal tank sump with not much room but I will definitely remove that "filter box."
Dude was doing SO well until min 4:08. skips ENTIRE set up after that and goes straight into troubleshooting a fully installed system *sadness* where is the ENTIRE set up portion of this video?
Brother honestly you do not need skimmer unless your tank is loaded with fish and coral what you have easy one month go without water change , its been 3 years never change water all i do just add whatever vaporize,

Pablo's Reef when I open the pump fully the red knob doesn’t stop the water from running.
