- NONSTOP CAPE COD CANAL ACTION *Striped Bass and Bluefish Fishing* //
On this episode of Abenz Fishing it was day 2 of fishing the Cape Cod Canal for striped bass and blue fish. I recently spent two weeks in Cape Cod, MA - I used to live there for the better part of 4 years and I spent every waking minute on the Cape Cod Canal.
The Cape Cod Canal is one of the most sought after land based striped bass destinations. The canal can yield striped bass up to 50 lbs and has been home to some of the most insane striped bass blitzes for decades. The Cape Cod Canal is not for the feint of heart and is intimidating landscape.
On this episode of the Cape Cod episode the stars aligned and WE FOUND THEM! We absolutely crushed the blue fish and striped bass on magic swimmers and jigs. It was some awesome fishing!

That is what I call real fishing, man how exciting
Thanks bro!
@@AbenzFishing Thank you
Releases could've been better but I understand you forgot your korkers! Great video keep it up!
Thanks - yeah, I actually fell 3x this day until I got them 🤦♂️
Did you plan the trip around a certain tide at daybreak or just daybreak regardless of tide?
arent u supposed to slowly work them back into the water, not throw them back in?
Those were some huge blues. Another awesome action packed video. Great video
Thanks for the continued support!
Awesome video Aaron! I remember meeting you last year on the canal.
Thanks - good meeting you 🤙🏻
My biggest problem fishing tge Canal is negotiating the rocks without killing myself to get near the water
True that - korkers
Many blessings brother. I'm heading out there in the spring any advice as to month and days or night fishing better. Also is there an area that could be better for the old folk that want to come. I'm so hooked on your videos. Great job and kooddos for showing that couples have so much fun together! May God bless your family.
Great content, awesome footage and quality fish
Thanks so much man 🙏🏻
what did you use?
Cool your getting on them! All about timing. Literally throw anything at them and hook up! Great fishery for sure! That rip tide though is a different ball game them Florida.
Oh yeah - The NE has 8-12’ tide swings compared to 1-3’ in Fl
"I can eat?"
Great video….trying to narrow down another rod other than my 8-3 ounce 11’….Wanted to go with a 10 or a 10’6” 3/4 to 4 ounce moderate pwr MF ACTION….Any thoughts?
Odm dna makes some great 10 and 11 foot rods for the prices. I use an odm dna 11’ 1-5oz for the canal
So do you think a 3/4 to 4 is too small for throwing lighter stuff there when smaller fish are breaking and closer to the shore?
@@wish2fish37 no that would be fine
What size your VR ?
150
It all about Timing place to be fishing.
10000% agree. Fishing logs are the best tool.
Last video same location you really on them.
@@michaelpollard5990 we timed the trip well
Sick vid What size staals are you using in this?
Vr150 and my wife used a vr125
Whoops I just heard you say it in the video 😂😂😂
Thanks any way you’re the man!

Dude nice video. I never catch anything there sadly
It’s a tough spot to dial in. Timing is a huge part and then learning the bottom
Was this filmed recently?
3 weeks
What bag is that?
It’s a bubba blade single strap bag. Best bag I’ve ever owned
Does anyone know the best way to park at this spot
Need a lesson in releasing fish Don’t chuck them onto sharp rocks (rip-wrap). 🤬😡
stop
