15 Hours Grinding the Cape Cod Canal for a Bite!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 жов 2022
- Started the day at 4AM, waking up alongside the Cape Cod Canal in Massachusetts in my car. After 15 hours of fishing for stripers and walking 13 miles, I was back at my car with bass thumb and a sunburn. One of my favorite fishing days of all time.

Best video that shows what really happens 95% of the time for most people and you put in more work than 98% in one day it's not just slamming 40s all day.. I've spent years and years of my life there and have never walked that much 👊🏾respect.. oh ya that dude with the dog was lying does it all the time don't listen to most guys do your own thing and get a bike if you plan on coming back...
Bro I think I met the dog guy
@@tyler5087ya he's full of shit
Glad you could catch some, keep the grind going brotha! cant wait to see the rest of the journey!!
Ur dedication is unmatched bro keep It up. Tight lines.
The water looks so blue and nice wow must’ve been a great day to go
Best video of someone visiting the canal, awesome job.
Means a lot thanks
I’ll let you in on a little secret young fella’, Try 2 hours after the turning and the dropping tide to the east at Sagamore post office, Cape Side, 200 yards east of Sag Bridge, climb down to the mussel bed and cast that 4 or 5 oz eel look alike, and let it sink for a good 7-8 seconds down to 40 feet! Then throw your bail down and hang on!
Is this summertime or during cooler weather? I would think summer because at this point cooler CCB waters have been sucked in and now they are moving? or maybe during spring or fall and the cooler CB waters are being sucked in??
Can’t wait for them to come back!
The grind was worth it last weekend, high hopes for this weekend!
Great fishing man
Wow nice catch 🐟🎣
Digging your videos bro love your new england road trip vids. Tight lines.
I love that shop
Awesome Video Buddy!!
D dog you an absolute beast grinder!!! No one can keep up with you kid!!
Haha said.
The grinder prevails. Meal at the end looked tasty. Gotta have some chowdah.
As you move south.. something big is waiting. It's out there .in the suds. Waiting for a "Big fish bro..monster fish!" Until the next epic.. safe travels brother.
Always appreciate ur comments 🤙🤙🤙 tight lines
Nice!
What up Dillon. Nice meeting you in person the other day on the rocks for tog. Was a banger of a day and to be expected as they are staged for deeper water. As I was saying, keep on the work with the videos because they are getting pretty good and hard work pays off.
Nice to meet you man! I appreciate the love 🤙
Dillon just get a large circle hook with a 1/2 oz split shot weight an like a 6 or 10 inch bass kandy delight 😊 should catch the striper on the hook. That way the striper doesn't get hooked by the clip.
Looks like a great trip, next year could you head south, maybe down to Georgia and see how the surf is down there. Keep it up bro.
Not a bad idea!
You should come to Baltimore for the Chesapeake Fall Striper run, or Assateague Island in the Fall.
Persistence pays off! Your New England road trip has been quite the adventure. As I have said before, you can give John Skinner a run for his money. Maybe you and John could do a video together? Keep up the great work.
Haha he’s the goat 🐐 Appreciate the compliment 🤙
That sunburn is elite
Wait til u see it in the Maine video
When you coming back to new England, you should go to Jamestown fishing with me 😂
Dillon. Love that canal. During the summer. U think the clam will work. For bait.
Yes ❤❤❤ 👍🔔 show de pesca parabéns tmj
You should try out sandy hook nj. I’m going there today wish me luck
Bring a bike next time. Saves a lot of walking. The fish come up on the slack. You managed to find a lot of fish, on a a day that looked pretty slow. Nice job!
Next time I’ll do the bike thing, wanted to keep it bare bones this time
Also you can get a z man hero z 10 inch smoke shad striper will smoke that thing for sure a big striper
Nice thumbnail!!
Gotta rent or bring a bike! Lol nice trip man I wanna go there myself
Next time I’ll do the bike thing. Wanted to go bare bones this trip
@Dillion dude, I've had periods where I'd cover tons of water when I can fish and get skunked for a month. 😢
Epic, I love the canal. What size Van Staal is that? Also what was the rod length and action you where using. I’m thinking of putting together a lightweight setup like that for the canal.
All gear is linked in description. VR150 + tsunami airwave elite 11’
Dope video brody, what gear were you using? Rod and reel?
Eagles beat the cowboys and Dillon posted. Couldn’t ask for more

Was that guppy lure you bought at the store?
need a canal bike set up to cover ground faster
Great action. You need some sun screen brother
Ur right lol
Wasn't there any clicker spring in the drag system of your Van Staal VR 150 failed yet? I bought a vr 201 (2 gen.) but its clicker spring keeps being failed.
Haven’t had that problem yet
I don’t get it tho it’s cold this time of year when was this
August
What are you throwing????!!!!!!
Saya dari Indonesia salam macing
Slack tide low Tide
Cool vid but why is your go pro angled at your feet? Hard to see what your filming.
Yeah true
@@dillonfishing I just mention that because I'm planning to start a fishing UA-cam channel chronicling my fishing adventures in south east Asia (Sri Lanka Thailand etc) and am just trying to figure out this UA-cam game. I read that you can connect your smartphone to your go pro so you can see what you're go pro sees.
You can. I never do that. Most of the time I have a good read of what angle the GoPro is at but this is a new camera to me and I’m still getting used to the nuance
@@dillonfishing understandable you have many vida already
I am superstitious and always change my presentation
Jerseys on fire and ur in cape cod? Yikes
This was August
Not T-shirt weather there anymore
You reel way to fast for bass , just saying , look like your albie fishing
Stop walking stay in 1 spot waste time to walk 7 mile hour current and you are walking smh
there's 3500 guys on bikes fishing they all just stay in the same spot
