- It's always unfortunate when you get a model train which is defective from factory, but the most recent addition to my large scale collection arrived damaged from factory. My Bachmann 1:20.3 2-6-0 had been improperly packed and suffered damaged after the coal load in the tender was left floating around in the package. After contacting the retailer I purchased the model from and making a quick call to Bachmann Trains, I was able to get replacement parts at no cost and restore the model back to like new condition.
This video basically shows the damages that occurred to the model and the repairs that were done to it. While I am a little reluctant to do any tearing apart on these higher end models (considering their high cost and risk of breaking something), it was very easy to swap out the tender shell and replace the smoke stack on the loco. With the repairs done, I've now got some spare parts sitting on the shelf in case I need them.
If anyone else has purchased one of these models and had the same issue with the coal load coming loose, please let me know in the comments.

Good job.
if I didn't know any better I'd say that this Bachmann big hauler is the train from Back to the future Part III.
My Emma Nevada model came with loose sliding windows. It was a very easy fix.
My Eureka came with the entire smoke box and the headline off the model and the cow taker was in pieces, also some other parts came off as well. I got most of it back together although the cowcatcher still needs to be fixed. I have no idea if she runs or not because she has DCC installed and I don’t have a g scale DCC controller (mostly cause I don’t know where to get one or which one to get)

Man steam locomotives have so many moving parts and parts that can be easily broken off
Kittys!
Is your series "Tales of a Farm" based on Tales of a Railyard?
Never heard of it to be honest. I got inspiration for my series from the 1980's show called TUGS.
@@PlowBenderStudios it shares the same music, no joke.

I don't have any of the parts anymore as I sold and traded some at a swap meet I went to.
