I came here after watching Billy do his amazing performances at the Willie Nelson 90 concerts...this young man is so talented it makes me so happy to know that someone like him is on this Earth right now
'cause he makes the same simple repetitive motions that been evoking that welling of tears in everybody who didn't know they done been hypnotized for quite a number of decades now
As I told my dad when we went to widespread you never know what you’ll hear and you will know something….. they opened with werewolves of London and played the band. He had a blast!
I was there on 4/20/23, so glad to be a new fan! Wish I could have gone to all three days, what a fun band to see live! Pretty sure I got a contact high from the crowd 😎
Outstanding Billy and band. It’s been tough not being able to afford tickets. Damn COVID put me on disability but I’m thankful I can hear/see you from my phone. I am your nanny goat and I’m incredibly proud of you and how you stayed you! Hugs
Runnin on Empty just such a perfect song…sends me to a place on back country winding roads…summer…Billy Strings is a gift. He’s a guitar phenom, we all know that but I really love his voice too. There’s a video of him and Jackson Brown performing this together. This song is America.
I wasn't lucky enough to see this show just an hour away... But this still gives me chills... I was blessed to see Jackson perform this during his tour promoting that album. Garden State Arts Center Summer of 1977. I was 14
I was actually just thinking about this song yesterday morning… and magically, here Billy Strings is jamming it one day later. Well, really it’s from a concert played a few months ago at a venue less than 100 miles away from me at a concert at I really wanted to go to. Which makes me think time is an illusion and the present is always a gift. So open it up, enjoy it and don’t forget to say thank you ❤
Nice tip to Jackson Browne, but this seems more like an homage to the master David Lindley, Jackson's frequent sidekick who left us in March, and who was known to breath some rarified air himself.
Jackson played this song live with Billy. Afterwards, Jackson pointed his finger at him like he was saying ‘you’re the man Billy”and then patted him on the back. I think he approved.
Billy would do great job but he doesn’t want to be in a band mostly playing Dead tunes. He doesn’t want to be in what some call “a Grateful Dead cover band”. He’s his own man. His heart is with bluegrass right now, he writes his own songs and loves to have the freedom that he has with his band. Besides, John Mayer is doing a fine job in his role with the rest of Dead & Company. Obviously you don’t think so but you have to take it for what it is. This is the final tour anyway.
Jackson Browne doesn’t think so. He played this with Billy and Jackson definitely approved. Billy isn’t trying to copy the song note for note from the album. He’s playing it with instruments his band plays with. Besides, it’s better than not hearing a Jackson Browne tune.

Welcome to a power greater than yourself!
Why does billy strings always have me on the verge of crying tears of joy or sometimes pain.. chills so many times!!
Cuz you quit watching pop and rap.😂
Because the future of his kind of music looks bright.
Old age
@@Hanzyscure I'm old. I don't cry. Next idea😄

Billy’s vocals are underrated and under appreciated.
Not by me lol
It's 2023, and they make it look like we're in the 70s.
That line "Gotta do what you can just to keep your love alive" has always been one of my favorite lines...thanks Billy and crew for honoring Jackson.
I hope you saw him sing this with Jackson, it was great
It’s a very good day when I find one of my favorites doing one of my favorites. That was smokin!
That was fukin insane. Bill is transcending to another plane. This was beyond words. Can't wait to see him live.
I’m 56. I hate crowds. For the most part, I hate people. I never go anywhere. BUT I’m going to see this guy come he’ll or high water. Holy shit.
Seen them twice. Last time at the Bridgestone in Nashville and was spun like a cricket in a hubcap. BLOWN AWAY!
I know a lot of fantastic musicians and guitar players, but Billy is at the top of the Excellent List
Amazing show!!! Jackson is smiling.... thank you Billy
The way this was phrased I had to make sure he wasn't dead lol.
As I told my dad when we went to widespread you never know what you’ll hear and you will know something….. they opened with werewolves of London and played the band. He had a blast!

Acoustic guitar sounding electric!
Do it like Lindley, Billy
cover master

I would love to know what Jackson Browne thinks

Love the cute response- when I put on a search for St A don’t need this link on 10 times!
Would’ve loved to see him in DeadnCo instead of John
Na he’s got his own shit that’s way better

Have all you people forgot Jackson Browne ? This is a crying shame . A banjo really. Good Grief.
