@@olaqualquer2522 it doesn't need to be paid, just see how brilliant it is in the high treble and aggressive in the high mids, plus the “punch” in the bass doesn't keep up with the rest of the nature of the tuning which makes it a little anemic. But at least it has good detailing and great stage

I actually tested this at the dealership. It can't play 6 channel flacs in discrete 5.1... the front separation is better than my 2020 G90... it's strange... the front 3 channels come from the front only like it should but the rear channels play in both front and back in stereo. Better than the 2020 G90 which just straight up plays it back in stereo.
Thing is, the 2020 G90 CAN play back 5.1 audio... through the DVD player... the new car no longer has one... I ripped a bunch of DVD-A, Bluray Audio and SACD tracks, encoded them in DTS and burned them to a set of DVDs if I want to listen to 5.1 music.
Found your channel! Nice. Been looking for audio review. Genesis has always had good audio. Was hoping to learn about the audio formats? Previous gen systems could so SACD or super audio CD's. W/O CD's anymore, is there a true high def sound from compressed/uncompressed files or satellite streaming? Where does one go to get true audio formats to play in your car?
I come here to get a vague idea of what a system might sound like, but sound quality is subjective and only something you can figure out for yourself
and not from someone else. Buy what you like.

Is better then before version G90 lexicon(Harman)system?
I'd argue the Lexicon is better
I had a GV80 with Lexicon and I prefer it over my G90 B&O... by a long shot.

I test drove a 2024 and thought the sound system was subpar. The beosonic slider nonsense is pathetic, and with no EQ or sub settings I could not get a balanced sound. Highs were too shrill and weak bass. It did not sound tuned at all to the cabin. I also did not see the surround mode options in my tester either. This was with wireless CarPlay, which sounded much better on the 760 diamond - and the best was the standard b&o in a 24 s8. I don’t know, but perhaps playing via USB will sound different and might show the surround mode options. So I’ll try again. Will be testing the high-end b&o system in an s8 tomorrow.
My opinion listening to this test: it seems aggressive in the upper mids and upper treble and a little dull and anemic in the lows in general, you don't get a nice, fun but controlled “punch” that you find for example in Volvo B&W and RR Bespoke Audio. And because of these characteristics the general sound for songs with more activity in higher regions between 4 and 8Khz end up being aggressive, tiring and not very musical, it is far from being bad, it is clearly a high level system but it really is not at the top of the top. Not to say that I'm too boring I have to admit that the definition, general transparency and stage (width and depth) are really good, apart from that kind of bright, analytical and aggressive nature that he can come to show, I don't see anything much unnatural, overall a very good system, seems very good for classical music, a quieter jazz and perhaps reducing the high mids a bit by throwing the EQ to something between energetic and bright it could be a very good system for classic rock, something with pum Grado in the world of headphones. Just a few adjustments through the central screen. Once again excellent video. Oh, and English is not my native language so sorry for possible writing errors.
The mercedes burmester systems will also have that nice controlled punch, especially with an EQ dialed in.
@@roboticvenom1935 yes, it does but the i7 has more because it has a smaller amount of bass in it. Anyway, it's a different tuning choice, there are things that are better in one and better in the other. And there are other things that are purely preference

I suppose Bang and Olufsen will never be S-tier. B&O systems can be rubbish especially for a high end audio system.

Yeah, the akg system in the Escalade is fantastic.
@@MukisaSS and I've heard and read otherwise lol A departure from their studio reference sound. Just like McIntosh in jeep which are a let down.
