There are two speakers in the center channel area in the center of the dash, three speakers in all four doors, two speakers in the rear parcel shelf, and a subwoofer in the rear parcel shelf, for a total of 17. I have now owned two Genesis G90s and the Lexicon stereo in my opinion is phenomenal. It is so enveloping, three dimensional, crisp, and clear. The clarity and fidelity is like no other vehicle stereo I’ve ever heard. I like highs (high treble) and the little tweeters in the doors are so clear and crisp that it sometimes hurts my ears! Exceptional stereo. I’ve listened to plenty of other high-end audio systems in competing vehicles. This one is my favorite. It’s also nice that the 17 speaker Lexicon stereo comes standard in all G90s; you don’t have to pay extra. There is no “base” stereo available.
There are only two speakers in each of the rear doors. There are 4 speakers in the rear dash (5 with the subwoofer)
This is the channel I have beeen loooking for all around who review the sound systems ... great job love it
Thanks, glad you like them!
@@DailyMotor Great Idea and very helpful with your overall final rating. Please review higher ends like Naim, Burmester high end 3D, B&O, and Bespoke also if you get a chance.
Thanks Charlie, for a great review. Audio quality is very important to me, and I seldom see useful, meticulous, in-depth reviews like yours.
Keep it up! All the best.
its in the center of the dash..along with the midrange
Very good video! Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
This vehicle has a DVD/CD player hidden in the glove box. You press up on the bottom of the player and it pops down to reveal itself in order to insert or remove DVDs and CDs.
Yep, glad you told him, I'm happy I have a cd player in my G90.
Awesome Lexicon System, its one of the most best sound systems in a vehicle. Rolls Royce Phantom uses the same. G90 is awesome luxury sedan, interior and exterior. Reliability is a 10!

I have a 2012 Genesis with the 17 Speaker Lexicon. This stereo sound legitimately great. This is the first stock car stereo that I didnt feel the need to upgrade anything, speakers or amps (Of course it would sound better if you did, but you would be spending a ton of money with the install and this car simply doesnt need a stereo upgrade). If you have a good sounding smartphone with a 3.5 inch jack ( I got the Samsung S10 Plus) or a DAP music player , try connecting it to the Lexicons Aux in. It sounds great. Trust me.
The 17th speaker is in the center along with the midrange.. Look closely you should see a tweeter
13:29 whats name of artist or music file ? Bro you're doing fantastic 👏 👌 job... quick question I'm buying lexus rx350 f sport ML sounds better or acura rdx els 3d system better... again you're rocking 🥳🎸🎼🎵
I believe there is speaker under Drivers seat...and the CD/DVD in the glove compartment
love my g90 lexicon!
Hello there is something you probably didn’t know about all Hyundai products, and it’s that the last speaker you’re looking for is used for the sounds it needs to make. E.G. welcome/goodbye sound, blinkers, etc. I don’t know if if only uses 16 speakers for the stereo or if uses all 17.
Can the system plan 6 channel FLAC files with proper channel separation? I have a 2015 Genesis Ultimate and I'm looking to upgrade to the G90 soon when the warranty expires. On the Genesis, the latest update gave it the ability to play FLAC but 6 channel FLAC files are played back as stereo and same with OGG. 6 Channel WAV and DTS encoded WAV files don't play back at all.
Reason why I ask is because, I ripped a number of DVD-A discs to FLAC files and the only way to get them to play back in 5.1 is to author my own DVD mixes encoded in DTS. I can also just put the original DVD-A disc in as well but then I'd just be changing discs all the time. 1 DVD can fit about 70 songs in DTS 5.1. With more and more cars ditching the DVD drive, 5.1 playback through USB is a must for me. If they advertise the Lexicon as a 7.1 system like my 2015 Genesis, what source material do I need to get 7.1 discrete sound? DVD-A just sounds too incredible for me to give it up.
The only car I know of that plays discrete audio in 5.1 is the new TLX with ELS 3D audio. It plays 24bit/ 48KHZ/ 5.1ch files via USB. It has no bit rate maximum and plays 1 hour concert conversions from Blurays.
Seems that the 2017+ G90 can play DVD-A, DVD's, and Blurays. I read that an update removed the support for DVD-A later on for the infotainment.

The 17th speaker is in the center of the dash. Tweeter and a mid range speaker driver.
The G90 is running on run flats. That explains the high road noise on un-broken pavement. A proper tire would alieviate the impact and tire contact patch drone.
Great review. How does the interior noise level impact the overall score? You referenced the Volvo. But I find the loud interior noise level (road noise and engine noise) of the Volvo reduces the overall sound quality of the sound system, especially since I like to listen to the music at a lower volume.
Thanks! The G90 is a notch quieter inside, so you will probably enjoy softer music better in the Genesis than the Volvo. The Volvo's system really excels at providing a powerful listening experience even at loud volumes with complex songs. The best system we've tested for easy listening is the Mark Levinson in the GX 460, partially because that cabin is so quiet.
@@DailyMotor is the 460 cabin quieter than the g90?
I agree, Volvo's arent quiet inside.
@@nellatl Doubtful on that one. The quietest car would have to be the 2020 Kia K900. On par with the new S class under 100k.
@@nellatl no
The center channel could very well be a coaxial and they're counting it as two separate speakers even though it's one speaker in general
Its two totally separate speakers, not coaxial.
The tweeter is in the center channel.
I am pretty sure that speaker in the rear seat is for noise cancelling. The active noise cancelation is on at all times in a modern car if equipped. I do not know how to disable it on a Genesis model, besides unpluging the module.
Quick tip: On Lexus models, such as the 2019+ ES 350. You can over ride the noise cancelation system by toggling the sun shade and moving it half an inch to disable ANC(Active noise cancellation).
What this achieves is even better sound quality by not having canceling sound frequencies played at the same time as your music.
I saw assertions elsewhere that it was an air intake for the rear ventilated seats
what is the song you played, cant find on shazaam....i think it was the third song in the series
The other speakers are on the side parts of the front two seats in the leather
Always
ceneter channel is 2 speakers mid and tweet
Does it really not have Apple CarPlay?
It does, but I think you have to use the usb port for it to work.
Oof ... slamming those soft close doors hurts my soul
You gotta do thd Krell sound system on the Acura RLX
The car and the Sound system is long in the tooth now.
Not crazy about it. The older body style looks much better to me more Aston Martin. Wheels gotta go as well as those Goofy tail lights. Looks like a said Lincoln mkz rear end......id rather have the new KIA K900......
@David Moore I liked the older model, not sure what generation . They are more aggressive looking with European styling. I'm actually still looking for a nice 2015 r-spec. I'd even take the older 2013 r-spec....even the Equss.
@David Moore it's hard to find a good one. But when I do, I'm trading in my lexus for it.
1. The CD/DVD is located in the glove compartment
2. Only FRONT USB is for data. Back USB is power only
3. Unfortunately, it is little murky how many files/directories the system can handle. It looks as much less that previous model.
I've got my music USB plugged into my rear USB and it plays music just fine.
I'd love to hear a 2020 Ram driving, I hear they sound beastly as fuck!

not sure where you are, but some horrible road quality, lol
Bull shit. It is not even as good as the G80. You can't have playlists on the Jukebox. You can't select artists. You can't select albums. All you can do is scroll through the songs as they are listed. I have the Ultimate. It is not nearly as good as my G80 nor my Silverado sound systems for song selection.
I agree, they went backwards from my 2018 G80 sport, I loved that audio controller with the 25 Gig hard drive.
Use your phone or a DAP music player through the Aux IN, It sounds amazing. I agree with you though, the included music interface is trash, I never use it.
You love those wheels? Really? Atrocious..
and you drive what??? a toyota from the 70's?😂
