I’m really dating myself here, but I miss not having a CD player in cars anymore. I have a vast collection of enjoyable music on CD I can no longer listen to while driving. My GV70 is “in transit” (stuck at US port waiting for a truck) so this video was interesting but my guess is that most GV70 buyers over 55 aren’t going to notice the nuances in sound you refer to? Just a suggestion….A sample of rock, country, R&B, classical, heck even some opera music would have been better for this demo that just the (somewhat annoying) electronic stuff demonstrated. The music sampled just does not give people a true sense of how different kinds of music sound on this system. Having a chest thump reaction to a car’s sound system is not what it’s all about. Just my 2 cents.
Agreed. I should try to get a bit more variation in the songs. If you would like to hear more songs, I just put up a members only test of this car that has about 25 different songs requested by members. You have to pay a few dollars, but it makes up for me not getting ad revenue from it.
You really are. He tested those genres, and you might not electronic and base heavy music, but the fact is Pop and Rap dominates the music World. It wouldn't make sense not to test for what the majority listen too.
Man, that Havana brown interior is fire. Too bad I couldn't find one near me when I bought my GV70. The base system in 2024 Advanced (yes, they removed it from that trim) sounds almost as good. Thanks for the great review. Please do a comparison of the two systems.
Interesting to hear your take. I absolutely hate the roller for volume control. The dial is too small to raise volume quickly. It a,so has too much tension on the dial so you have to push on it firmly to rotate it. It has a dual function to also mute the radio so push too hard and it mutes. Ugh. Very annoying. I am also unimpressed with the sound. It’s decent but lacks clarity. Ever listened to music in a sound deadened environment? It’s like that. I have treble pumped to 9 to get crisp high notes. Bass is reasonable but also has that muffled aspect. I drive a GV80. For the cars price I hoped for a better sound system. The car is pretty amazing overall though.
Same. It helps that this class is not as competitive as the GV80's class. I can't think of an X3, Q5, GLC, or anything else I'd rather have in this class.
Interested in this car but I hate that the 2022 had the Lexicon system in the lower select and advanced trims but now only available in the more expensive sport prestrige trim. Like many on your channel would like a review of the base 9 speaker system.
What I hate about this vehicle. Only one usb for media and android auto no auxiliary input. Can't find anything on the internet to convert 3.5 aux to usb so I can use an external dac/amp.

Thanks for the review. It is difficult to hear the full capability of these stereo through computer speakers but I get a good idea. It sounds powerful with a lot of highs and mid range but backs the low end bass. It probably just needs a bigger sub in the trunk to fix that but most manufacturers doesn't fit in large subs anyway. Did you get a chance to try to standard stereo? I believe it's 9 speakers. Sometimes I wonder if this is even worth it to upgrade to the next trim level.
I heard this system and the one in GV80 five days ago. It's powerfull and clear. But its quality very artificial. Doesn't have the realistic warm sound of Bose in Infiniti Q70. This one in Genesis has a lot of noise. Has much more speaker than Bose 10 speakers in Infiniti but lacks good dimensions.
We have a Bose system in our Sorento SX Prestige and it sucks. I've never heard a really good Bose car audio system. In my opinion, it's one of the worst 'upgraded' systems I've ever heard. I'd go with Acura's ELS system or Lexus' Mark Levinson system, Lincoln Revel, and even BMWs Harmon Kardon over Bose any day.
@@cougargold Hear the one in Infiniti. It differs from those of hyundai and Kia. Because Japanese have better high quality head units. The head unit of any system play a big part.

Bose really lacks any substantive low end sound and Has always sounded terribly flat even when adjusted. If you’ve ever taken a look at their speakers after they are removed from the vehicle, they’re cheap garbage. They just have the Bose name on them.

I had better sound in my Murano Bose system. The quality of sound is ok but not loud at all. All the way up and very low. Ids there an adjustement somewhere?
I looked under the front seats, it did not seem like sound was coming out of those. Could definitely be affected by chip shortage. OEMs have been decontenting certain vehicles lately.
@@DailyMotor Low bass frequencies are omnidirectional. You wouldn’t be able to pinpoint it exactly coming out from under the front seats. I tweaked my bass settings and DEFINITELY feel the lows! Got mine two weeks ago after a four month wait. 👍🏽👍🏽
as good as my GV70 w/ 3.5t and sport prestige premium Lexicon stereo is- the EQUUS I sold before it is a thousand times better louder clearer and over all one of the finest stock radios I ever head - even better than the S550 Burmester or Lexus Levison - but none of them as good as a pair of XTC headphones by JM Audio
I'll say it again , that is one ugly steering wheel , everything else in the interior is gorgeous but that steering wheel ruins it for me .. great video again brother 👍🏽

Just rip your cds to your pc in lossless and copy to your phone. Then listen via bluetooth or usb.

had the same problem with AA in my Alfa Stelvio, hate it so much, that I bought an iphone and put it in the central console.
