Been doing A LOT OF reminiscing of one of my favorite lead singer of STP and VR. O how I wish Scott could of separated from his addiction and found out how great life is on this side. I am thankful that I am abled to walk down memory lane and hear the music, to still be alive myself, 14 years clean, to listen to the best sounds of yesteryears. Thank you Jesus.

Velvet Revolver truly could have been one of the biggest bands ever. So much potential, so much talent. It's a damn shame they called it quits. Then to lose Scott was utterly devastating.
Sucks that Scott couldn't get his life together, wish the band survived and continued, loved both albums. Man's a musical genius, so hard to see his performances near the end of his life compared to when he was in STP and Velvet Revolver :(
Want to know something really interesting? At one point, Slash considered Corey Taylor as their new vocalist, and Corey actually did some work with VR (that will unfortunately will never be released), but Slash thought that Corey's voice was too macho....

62 and was backstage at all four ritz shows 88&91 back when i worked at the old MTV.still listen to AFD everday and turned my kids and grandchildren on to the original GNR!! still one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded.

I know he's a meat and potatoes kinda guy and ya he obviously uses different peddels for a couple of things but I've been listing to this guy intensely for forty years and for some reason this song live has a really cool sound on his guitar.
