That put such a smile on my face! Used to see them like crazy in the early years, been a long time now. Their first time through Minneapolis, they played The Cabooze with Coal Chamber and a headliner I never can remember, cuz honestly they weren’t who I was there to see. I had an advanced copy of 7D’s debut like 5 months before it came out due to where I worked at the time, which me and my buddies listened to a ton. So at the show, we were right up front for 7D who played first, and there wasn’t many people even there, cuz nobody knew them yet. Album still wasn’t out, so those that were there, didn’t know the songs. And here we are, right up front, singing every word and totally rocking out. The 7D boys were totally blown away and smiling from ear to ear, high fiving us like crazy. They invited us on their RV (no bus yet) after their set. Had a beer with them and talked Supercross. Super cool nice guys. So I’m wondering, is Morgan wearing a half mask or something, with hair attached maybe? Did he go bald under there? 🤔 Love the way he plays! Got such a cool style. We knew all the Coal Chamber stuff too. I might have had an advance copy of their debut too, but I think it was out at the time of the show. I had an advance copy of Godsmacks debut too way before it’s release, and their first time to town, I don’t think it was out yet, but the first single ‘Just Go Away’ was blowin up on radio. At the show, that’s all anybody knew. Once again, my friends and I knew every song. Did meet Sully after the show during tear down. He’s so short! Thanks for the post! I watched it all twice 🤘 Angel Song rules! RIP Lynn Strait
Saw them during this tour at the Tower Theater. The sound of Billy's electric when he came in on the first song "To Sheila" absolutely floored me. It was Strat into cranked Marshall...just wow. When they hit the harmonized solo on "Ava Adore" it was epic. The only sound I've heard that competed was Hum at the Stone Balloon. Hiwatt and Orange cranked in a small room, the sound passed your ears and you heard it in your spine.
Pumpkins at their most smashing I'd say! ❤ 💀 D'arcy is too die for in this clip. She brings the Adore to the A-V-A. Without her their just a bunch of gourds!

Had to keep the fans engaged somehow while going majorly downhill musically. By this point Chamberlain was out of the band and in rehab. The Frogs keyboardist OD'd partying with chamberlain stopping the tour they were on right before this album was released. The Pumpkins as everyone knew them were gone. Thier next album is just as rough
@SiriusV21 I agree. It's almost a continuation of Meloncholy. Plus I think Chamberlain was back for that album. Came out in 2000? After that it was 7-8 years. Pumpkins had finally imploded. Then he had all those variations of bands where he refused to play any pumpkins. I was at a show at the Electric Factory when he had the mew band with that hot chick on bass named Strawberry something. I was directly above him in the balcony screaming Mayonnaise so loud he finally looked up at me and said if I keep it up I can stay and he will leave. So i started screaming silverfick and he laughed and I stopped
Jimmy Melvoun’s OD was during the Mellon Collie tour, this is the Ava Adore tour. Billy was booted during the MC tour and was not around for this album at all.
Some weird percussion choices on this tune without Jimmy behind the kit. Kenny did great but I would almost have preferred if they stuck with the drum machine on this one.
When Darcy plays basic rhythms on the bass, the way he plays it is very precise and with a very smashing pumpkins cadence, it is a pillar in the band's sound.
