3.23 | How To Invert Throttle | Joystick HOTAS | Star Citizen
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 вер 2024
- If your using dual sticks or hotas here is how to invert your throttle so that when you push forward on the stick your ship moves forward. With the new update, 3.23 in Star Citizen the keybinds and menue for inverting your throttle for stick and hotas are now different.
When I first logged in to 3.23 my left joystick worked, all but the throttle. I could not move my ship forwards or backwards. I found that was becuse the way to enable inversion has been changed, so in completely unbound that key bind.

3.23 !! One of those nights!
@@MCStu when I did this, my strafe left right inverted 🤦♂️
** Bottom right , you were looking at mouse inversion settings. Need to select hotas 1 or 2.
Awesome thank you
This is the answer I was looking for
@@BloodHassassin I spent 2 days confused on why my inversion settings weren't working til I finally noticed the bottom right corner. Lol
@@Chase_The_Calm_Gaming it still doesn't work
@@7vnstxrz I just did it 20 min ago. Sometimes your joystick can change to joystick2. Ports your keybinds but not the inversion.
I use a X-56. So for those of us using a throttle slide instead of a stick, using that "f/b invert" as a bound button allows us to choose between forward or reverse. Cause our slide is bound to "throttle -increase".... hope what i said makes sense!
Great video. I don't use hosas, but I do use hotas. I'm having big problems, and can't seem to find a solution. So there seems to be a conflict for me with this acc. control and throttle. The ship will not move until the acceleration control is adjusted to anything but off. So I set my acc. control to throttle. This worked until I changed ships, then it just sat there. They have taking the strife forward back out of key binds. I use that when I'm close to a pad. I've been dealing with this for two days, and it's nothing short of disaster! If anything CIG should make a setup tutorial for those players using hosas and hotas.
Same for me ...thx for the workaround
Thanks for this video :) Helped me to fix this issue
Hey guys I just unplugged both of my sticks waited 30 seconds plugged them in and inverted now they work fine. Thanks for your video bro and I hope this helps Dx
Worked for me. Just make sure the under game settings. You have flight movement invert set to? Yes, and I also had to bind a key to toggle.
That's why I'm here ,having the exact same issue
Where have the strafe forward/backward keybindings gone from the menu?
Unplug sticks and plug back in it worked for me
its hold button not toggle for me...
Something doesn't seem right with this.
This is when you have a setting turned off in game options - flight throttle invert toggle
same issue thanks you fixed it
thank you, its like this with throttles to. glad i found this, hopfully it gets fixed
same issue, this was helpful. thanks.
Have the same problem her nxt gladiators. I unfortunately dont see stick 1 and 2 although i have before. and could the game please stop opening up spectrum every time i try to cycle through the inputs!
okay, so i found it too. have to go to the controls settings. there you can cycle between stick one and two. it worked for me.
Same same bro thanks for the vid
My problem is even cooler!
After I setup my throttle stick invert setting - it just snaps back to "non-inverted" - MIDGAME!🎉🎉 (after I exit/enter a ship after landing). Plus, the actual "Throttle FWD" setting in the menu still says "Yes" - but the ship happily flies backwards when I push the throttle forward! 😂
yea i have to balance my throttle somewhat in the middle to keep my ship stead or im just gonna crash
i have a HOTAS, i don't even ha ve binds i saw in you video. My HOTAS is functionnal but when i select "HOTAS" in the keybind, i have a message saying i have to go to the advanced keybind menu and that's all. I have not this menu. I given up.
It does that to me if I try to do it while on the menu, it should show if you do it while in game.
Thanks, I was wondering why I couldn't bind an axis to it, I hope they change this in the future.
Ya, I think they made a mistake on this.
The options are not there at location 2:00 in your video because the lower right you have mouse selected and not joystick/hotas.
I have a similar key binding issue using my 'Thrustmaster' throttle, I use to inverted throttle fwd and slider for reverse. No support to do same with 3.23, but it suggests doing a sticky Cruise as throttle control.
1:43 change from mouse to hotas # whatever then the option will be there. I have an X56 with no detent. I just want my throttle to go forward. I use the slider next to it to go backwards. No clue how to do that???
The problem is their controls, while abundant, are still terrible. In a modern aircraft, or even a boat. you push forward on the throttle to increase velocity. SC is the exact opposite. There is a difference between a bi-directional throttle, meaning when the throttle is at 50% the ship doesnt move at all. and if you pull back a little you move in reverse, push the throttle forward a bit and you move forward, and a one-directional throttle.
I want a switch that toggles between forward and reverse, while pusihing forward on the throttle sets the desired velocity, but not the direction in which the ship moves.
Inverting the throttle needs to be a setting of its own. Problem solved and folks are happy. The way it currently is: is epically stupid.
Had the same problem in EPTU. Not had chance to load live and test
they need to bring back the keybind, toggle keybind is terrible. should work like airbrakes.(airbrakes are terrbile btw, only to parking, is like we on ice with airbrakes)
stop racing just because of that keybind. cant slow down and turn with airbrakes.
Ah cool, didn't you played!
