Why You SHOULDN'T Cut Out the THIEFS HEART IN OBLIVION

- Brithaur is a Wood Elf living in Crucible, New Sheoth. He continues to annoy the other residents of Crucible with his thievery. For this reason, Earil requests that you get rid of him. If you talk to Brithaur, he tells you that he will end his crime spree only when you bring him five Flawless Pearls to complete his collection. During the non-journal quest, The Paranoid Roof Watcher, it is revealed that Brithaur's current residence is stolen from another citizen of Crucible.
He wears a pair of patchwork pants, a patchwork shirt and a pair of scruffy shoes. He also carries his key and a small amount of gold. Looting his corpse will reveal his heart which is used in his quest.
Brithaur explores the city every day, looking for potential opportunities for theft. He sleeps from midnight to 8am upstairs in his house, and will have a two hour breakfast downstairs when he wakes up. After an hour of wandering around inside, he will exit the house at 11am for some reconnaissance. He will either go to Earil's Mysteries, Things Found or Cutter's Weapons, which he chooses randomly. If he was persuaded to stop thieving during his related quest he would instead wander around Crucible; alas, due to a bug this will never happen. If the Sacellum isn't being used for the Main Quest, he will break off his session of stealing at 2pm for two hours of worship there. This cuts short his previous activity, and he will confusedly hurry home for two hours of wandering. Otherwise he will continue to wander around his chosen location until it is interrupted again by his three hour supper at 6pm. After a busy day, he will relax at home until bed time.

Can’t get enough of these oblivion videos!
SAAME I'm obsessed! I keep rewatching them, and it genuinely makes me so excited to see a new one has been posted.
You could put these videos on paper and bind them into an Elder Scroll Chronicles Anthology, and I would buy it.
I've got close to 1100 hours in oblivion and I still sometimes learn new things, also I get reminded of tons of stuff I forgot over the years. Either way though, Dash really does a good job narrating things and always either reminds me of something or points out something I didn't know in the first place.
I know right? Makes me want to boot it up again. Maybe with some mods to help with the playdough faces
Earil: Oh, won't someone rid me of this thief?!
Hero: Say no more, fam!
I love the details you cover. Please please please know these videos are loved and appreciated.
I really enjoy your Oblivion content. This game was “my life” when it came out many years ago after I finished up with Morrowind. I’ve recently started a new play through as an adult to try and play a bit different than I did before. Thanks for being so thorough and showing all the outcomes that most will never see unless you quicksave and go through it multiple times. Anyway….Keep it up. I subscribed.
Thanks for the kind words Ernie! I have yet to fully explore Morrowind. Kind of excited, a little daunted
@@DarkLOREDash I hope you can get into Morrowind too! It's a bit of a learning curve coming in from later games, but the story, the hidden things to find, all of it make the effort worthwhile!
@@DarkLOREDashFair warning if you do these types of videos for Morrowind you will no longer have a life. You'll understand at the first loading screen.
Seriously awesome game, loading screens are a brick wall sometimes.
I'm currently in an Oblivion "brainrot" so these videos are a treat !
Pray at the chapels and may your brainrot be cleansed -lol-
what is oblivion brain rot
@@elijah4621 it's another way of saying that I'm hyperfocused on Oblivion these days
@@goose8313 ah okay same lol
The last time I was this early, Sheogorath was still waiting for a champion in the Shivering Isles
Note to self, do more roof hopping in New Sheo.
love it! need more Oblivion stuff!!!! can't get enaught, could listen to all the quests in details like you do! mad respect
This ASMR video, intended or otherwise is very relaxing, just like the ambiance of Oblivion itself. I appreciate your videos.
Many thanks! I get that a lot
You bring the fun into Oblivion with these videos! I started playing Skyrim before I played Oblivion, so I couldn't really get in to it, but these videos make it seem really fun!
I remember having WAY more fun playing oblivion but yeah it’s hard to go back to now. It’s very aged. Lol. It was so so so good for it’s time though
@@TheOriginalDuckley It still is. It's Skyrim that is a bore to me. Oblivion has it all and doesn't seem aged at all. That's because it isn't a slave to graphics like Skyrim is. Skyrim will be the one that will age terribly because it is only about the graphics. No interesting quirky and fleshed out NPC's or wonderful humor or great quests in that game unlike Oblivion.
I like oblivion more. I had it preordered. I’m old. I was an older teen playing morrowind 😬
@@Val.Kyrie. nearing 40 isn't that old,
What a coincidence! I just played oblivion few weeks back and found about jail option by mistake when i was duke on demencia! Nice one thou.
I really wish that more of the voice actors would have tried to make some of the characters they voice sound different from each other.
They said they were given just numbered lists of lines, no connection to which character is saying them
Would've been nice if they'd used more than 3 for the entire game as well, but I guess Patrick Stewart got most of the VA budget for his one or two lines lol
@@krytenfivetwothreep2485 Sean Bean too
Right? Like would it have killed them to just get a few more cheap actors?
Always thought the lack of difference voices in Oblivion was trash.
@@jamescard299 its definitely the most disappointing part of the game, although i gotta say it does have its charms
Love the detailed explanations of the quest lines in this game. keep it up!
You're beyond awesome for making oblivion videos
It could be just me but when I play Elder Scrolls just about any thief that tries to rob me is like "Give me all your money or I will gut you like a fish."
Me - NOPE! ⚔😮😵
Awesome, I like these oblivion videos.
"Leaving Bernice to die in peace, we then..." So sassy! I love it!
Dude I absolutely love your oblivion content! I usually watch them before bed as they're relaxing and easy to drift off to ❤️
This popped up just as I was making dough, awesome timing!I always look forward to a video from you
It popped up just when you kneaded something? 👍😁
It’s all good for me , had trouble playing at first but it would of been something on UA-cam ends. Another great video!
Thumbnails aren’t to my liking, but these videos are all so amazing!
Thank you
Luckily, the Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch makes it so that going to Kithlan causes Brithaur to be thrown into the dungeon, so be sure to use that if it you’re on PC!
thanks for that tip
@@Matt-md5yt No prob. I was pretty annoyed at first hearing that the option was left incomplete by Bethesda, but USIP reports it as fixed in their changelog.
Another oblivion video!! HUZZAAHH❤
We want more of them!! HUZZAAHH!!
This videos are so good, love the details and narration! Ive played Oblivion many times and never found this quest before.
The way you make these videos so well and consistently well is awesome. Keep up the great work.
I enjoy your narration and immersing into the character in the game. It's definately what keeps me watching and looking forward to your videos, friend. Cool stuff friend!
never stop uploading these please lol
The worship of talos is strictly forbidden
The main man is back!
I swear the voice actor for the male Elves was having way too much fun in the recording booth.
I love you videos man! You voice is amazing for lore videos and the music is a nice touch.
Thank you kind sir!
yeah🎉100k Subs Boi! you deserve it. love your Oblivion vids mate❤
Imagine being trapped in chronomancy, you essentially think so slow that you precieve time just slow. So everything around you s zipping at light speed before you can think "I like cheese"
Sounds like every action figure or Lego collector I know. “I just need these few more and then I’m DONE collecting! Promise!” 😄 … the Collection is never complete….
Darn you UA-cam for not recommending this vid sooner.
Why not? Why shouldn't I cut out his heart? I am going to be a God after all, so by right it's mine anyway!!
I never even considered that killing him was a thing. I've always done the "get flawless pearls"-thing.
Learned something new today!
Edit: The third option seems more fun but also less involved.
THIS! I love that you actually talk to NPC's with your own response. It's the reason I really dislike voiced protagonists in RPG's. It may sound insulting, but I've found that people who see 'silent' protagonist as silent just lack imagination. They're silent because you're silent. Awesome content!
Me who almost always ends up playing as a "Shadowscale" or "Death Knight" sort of character.. It should be obvious what my choice is on this one most of the time :P
Don't like how every character looks directly at you and how the colours are saturated in their face
Fuck yea anything thieves related in oblivion is the best
Odd, when I do that quest he only wants 2 flawless pearls.
I like the Sheo impersonation :D
Did that quest before with both sides, spare by Pearl's and by kill
I really like the abilities and efforts of the voice actor (Craig Sechler) but it is very inappropriate after Jeff Baker's (dunmer) and David DeBoy's (altmer/bosmer) elven efforts from Morrowind.
The only thing that sucks is finding the flawless pearls can be real annoying if you haven’t been saving the ones you found before hand, im in that situation now and have now found 3 but dang they are way harder to get when you are looking for them then when you aren’t it feels like haha
I’m with that first guy. I don’t mind him being a thief, it’s that he’s so damn bad at it that bugs me.
I was looking for a video to start the morning and here we are, awesome. :0
Sounds like a trouble maker... 🤔😏
It wouldn't be a true oblivion experience if you didn't have the level up icon there
What prey, does the kind act have sway in the decisions of the mad god?
Something I've always wondered about the Elder Scrolls series is that each game is set in a early feudal era with no technological advancement, if you exclude the Dwemer of course. Magic can only go so far however. Any ideas why that is?
I would love to see an elder scrolls game that takes place in an industrial era with dwemer-like tech being more common
With magika you rely less on tech. Simple as
It's probably a lack of need being the primary cause. Why further develop technology when you have magic? A car is never going to beat teleportation after all. It probably doesn't help that most of the really intelligent people of the Elder Scrolls also tend to be mages or alchemists.
It could be that as soon as any civilization becomes significantly technological they are wiped out by the Divines.
Similar to the idea of the Great Filter in real life. The theory being that the reason we don't see advanced alien life is that possibly everything advanced enough to travel the galaxy has instead wiped itself out.
steal from fellow thief will make expelled from the guild!
I actually do quite like this outcome
Wheeeeee!
I found this contract to be the most annoying of the DB quests. his descendant, Amaund Motierre, is found in Skyrim and is also a POS lol.
...Is this the same voice actor as Dean Domino in the FO:NV Dead Money DLC?
What happened to the sound?
Yeah I dunno man. Torture certainly doesn't seem to be the most moral option here.
What would you do?
Bro these vids are it
Thank you kind sir
I think youtube messed up the videos I have no sound and the screen is very tiny
Mine works fine ? Restart your player
Oblivion in 2022
Wooot content!
Eighth!
437th! xD
Wait, your opinion is that being tossed in jail and TORTURED by a creepy subordinate for God knows how many years is the more “morally acceptable” end to the quest than just quietly, painlessly killing him in his sleep? You’ve got a weird sense of “morality” Dash.
nah heart it is xD
dachte es wären ultraschallbilder von leas schwangerschaft im thumpnail
Is there not supposed to be an sound? Thought it was my volume at first but it's just this video
Don't pin my comment
Too much alliteration... What is this, a lemony snicket book? Alliteration is a literary tool best used subtly, for its best effect, and not continuously over an entire script... Cool video tho. Also I don't think Brithaur is afflicted by kleptomania or anything like that. He specifically knows he's stealing, and that it's wrong, but he does it anyway.
