I’m talking single digit/low double digit/contest ready bodyfat% while maintaining muscle. Once in a while for a contest, not so bad but still hard. But yeah, it would be tough to actually build muscle at or over 60 and harder as you age. I’m 56 and still building/maintaining muscle but it’s a bitch getting ripped. I’m responding from personal experience above the 50+ age you referenced. How about you?
I use to live like this for the majority of my youth. Worked out 6-8am every morning, then fast the whole day maybe a small lunch, then work out again 8- 10pm 7 days a week.❤❤ felt so energetic.
I did the same thing. People said I looked anemic with a sunken face. I went back to my regular power gain routine and the same people said I look 20 years younger.

Working out while fasting is very effective. It is the combination that gets the results and of course clean eating helps too and good water intake. I fast for 36 hours with a 12 hour window..I did that from December through May non-stop. I'm down to my weight goal..now I'm doing the 75 hard challenge to tone up and gain muscle.😊

I couldn’t work out because before this time I had injured myself and needed surgery, which is why I gained weight in the first place: because I couldn’t lift.

Hello again people i walked for 4 months here and there and now weight 95kgs and i need to lose another 10kg to be 85kg. I walked every day from december to now. I want to go to the gym. Im not employed and have time in the morning to workout so i walk for 3 hours and 20km a day. I eat mostly eggs and chicken and canned fish but also bread vegetables and sweet coffee and tea. I drink 3 liters of water a day. Water helps to shed water weight. Also God and Jesus help you lose weight i went to church on mass every day for whole december and russian Christmas so if you want fast help when hurts and needs faith helps a lot. I started doing IF and been doing it for about 6 months now. Not gonna lie, at first it sucked ass, but now I feel great. Full of energy, clear headed, great mood etc. but I’m not as extreme as he is, I eat at least 2,500 calories a day in a 4-8 hour window depending on my schedule that day.

I'm not willing to suffer more yet because I get really bad anxiety and depression when I don't get 8 hours of sleep and I have great fitness program going that also requires plenty of rest. I want those gains. For now I'm working on building better bedtime habits like reading books instead of watch videos, only using my bed for sleeping, and using ambient sounds to meditate on while I fall asleep.

I did intermittent fasting while in the marines (0311) and it worked wonders. I would eat dinner and that’s it. Never looked this tired/fatigued ever. For those who might say I wasn’t training very hard, dropping from 205 to 170, back to 205 in 4.5 months takes some effort

@@AllenHanPR a month and a half. I had a 6 hour window where I’d eat but it was very high protein and low-moderate carb intake. I mean I would walk 2 miles every day after dinner. I couldn’t work out because before this time I had injured myself and needed surgery, which is why I gained weight in the first place: because I couldn’t lift.
Comments like this upset me. Difficulty is subjective and when you say things like this, it disputes the real struggle other people have with weight loss.

Hello again people i walked for 4 months here and there and now weight 95kgs and i need to lose another 10kg to be 85kg. I walked every day from december to now. I want to go to the gym. Im not employed and have time in the morning to workout so i walk for 3 hours and 20km a day. I eat mostly eggs and chicken and canned fish but also bread vegetables and sweet coffee and tea. I drink 3 liters of water a day. Water helps to shed water weight. Also God and Jesus help you lose weight i went to church on mass every day for whole december and russian Christmas so if you want fast help when hurts and needs faith helps a lot. I started doing IF and been doing it for about 6 months now. Not gonna lie, at first it sucked ass, but now I feel great. Full of energy, clear headed, great mood etc. but I’m not as extreme as he is, I eat at least 2,500 calories a day in a 4-8 hour window depending on my schedule that day.
Eating only 6 hours a day is basically called skipping breakfast.

I never understood why waking up early is so impressive. I used to wake up at 330am to go to the gym but I also went to bed at 8 lol you literally just shift your sleep schedule.
I've been trying to wake up at 5AM for months, but it's so hard because I've been going to bed at 2AM since 2006, so whenever I have a sleepless night, I lose all my progress.

I'm not willing to suffer more yet because I get really bad anxiety and depression when I don't get 8 hours of sleep and I have great fitness program going that also requires plenty of rest. I want those gains.
For now I'm working on building better bedtime habits like reading books instead of watch videos, only using my bed for sleeping, and using ambient sounds to meditate on while I fall asleep.
