    A fraer in Russian criminal culture is a person who has not been in prison, as well as someone who can be deceived, robbed, in other words, a sucker. Fraer can be called anyone who is not related to prison, as well as many other related meanings. Thumbs up so that English-speaking colleagues understand what is at stake!

    • @dankovac1609
      @dankovac1609 2 роки тому +73

      In Croatian, a frajer (same pronunciation basically) is someone who thinks they're cool, but absolutely aren't. I definitely understand the connection between our frajer and the Russian fraer since a person who is acting tough but never was to Russian prison is definitely seen as a showoff wimp.

    • @0pluta149
      @0pluta149 2 роки тому +39

      In Poland it's lil difrent in simple frajer is sucker, pushower. In prison there are gits "prison elite" and gang members, rest is simply caled as frajer they are people of 2 category or worst when u are pedophile or u make dishonored crime like this or when u colab with guards.

    • @korbendallas3732

      @@dankovac1609 If we consider this issue in the context of the Zone, then an common stalker is also a outlaw: he carries unregistered weapons, ammunition, he crossed the guarded perimeter and sometimes even kills people. It turns out that he is also a criminal, but he has nothing to do with either the prison or the gangster hierarchy, that's why the Bandits despise them and call them FRAERs. Anyway, in Eastern Europe, just Slavic criminals have approximately the same concepts and the same culture. Not surprisingly, the words in general have a similar meaning.

    За пару дней игры бандиты были практически уничтожены. Вояки уничтожали нас. Я решил перебраться на свалку, на депо, контролируемое нами, ибо мне нужно было скинуть куда нибудь барахло. Как только я сделал всё что мне было нужно, хлынула толпа вояк с учёными. Два часа, два блyaдских часа я оборонял депо. Это была самая кровавая схватка, которую я только видел. По всей территории было разбросано порядко полусотни тел, я овладел сотней различных патронов и оружием на любой вкус. Но, как только я сложил всё своё добро в тайник, они атаковали снова, а нам нечего противопоставить...

      Жиза, за Свободу против Греха также жил. В моём сохранении они захватили весь север и центр Зоны, от ЧАЭС до Бара. Под полным контролем "Сталкеров" (так я уже называл всех, кто не является Монолитовцем или Греховцем) оставались лишь Кордон, Поляна, Болота и Тёмная Лощина (которая справа внизу), а также Агропром и Свалка контролировались наполовину, в них происходили постоянные сражения в надежде остановить Грех и освободить Зону. Противники, конечно, были впечатляющие, поскольку под их контролем было где-то 70% Зоны и соответственно столько же ресурсных точек во всей игре, они носили либо среднее, либо наилучшее снаряжение, а группы состояли из 5-9 бойцов от Опытных до Мастеров, Новичков совсем у них не было.

    a fraer mostly refers to someone you can easily deceive, a person who would do something for someone without getting anything from it, or someone who is easily scammed
    One example of this is in fallout 3 when butch asks for your sweet roll, if you choose to give him the sweet roll you are essentially his fraer, because he got something that eas meant for you under threat which usually makes him believe he can treat you like that more then once and you wouldn't stand up for yourself
    So yes naturally a fraer is a very unrespected person because you wouldn't treat somebody like that if you respect them, but its not the full translation of what a fraer is

    Famous "cheeki breeki i v damke" can be translated as "cheeki breeki and you're done".
    It's based on famous kids counting rhyme "чики брики пальчик выкинь", rough translation is "cheeki breeki finger away". It was popular in RUssia, Ukraine and Belarus back in 2006.

    can we get one for Loners? There's one voiceline from Anomaly that I've been trying to learn the translation to, but I can't figure it out for some reason. It goes along the lines of:
    Ya v bamu schaktyor nu pider (я в баму щактёр ну пидер). Or something along those lines. I'm not very good at my Russian quite yet so I'm not sure how to spell the words out because they speak too fast haha.

      You know how the "king" in checkers work? Well, the russian term for the king in checkers is "damka".
      "cheeki breeki" is a non-translatable nonsense that basically means "fast and without hesitation" in that context.
      So what they're saying is essentially: "flank them, and shoot when they're not ready"
