Loners : talking about wanting to have a peaceful life after all this shit ended
Bandit : complaining because they are starving
Duty : wants to rest even for just a while
Freedom : "BRUH NO WEED"
This one made me laugh
Mercenary:nah Fuck y'all
I was about to comment something like that lmao they addicted or what
Monolith: BRUH NO FEELING OF THE WARM EMBRACE OF THE MONOLITH
In the modifications on Stalker, military, on assignment they are, constantly asked a vodka😅
"I think everyone should have a chance to enter the Zone, the government only scares people off with their scary stories" said the man carrying enough body armor to rob a bank, an assault rifle and having the responsibility to stop an army of zombified super soldiers from taking over the Zone on a daily basis
Your point?
@@doc43souls74 the Zone is 100% not a place everyone should visit freely is me point
@@Axl4325 It's about the freedom to decide what to do
@@Axl4325 If I'm not mistaken - no one said that entering the Zone should be allowed. Rather - the information about the Zone.
@@doc43souls74 2:32
Freedom is so free they hate their own command structure lmao
whut
They preach about being free and against authority, so it makes sense since having some commander kind of goes against the whole point of opposing being bounced around by anyone.
Also, one of their commanders was a rotten bastard that basically sold his own men for mercs to kill
@@paskaalisaapaskaa5354 The "I hate authority, but we have it anyway" hypocrisy makes sense, though. Imagine trying to grow into a effective force in the Zone without command structures.
I feel like situation changes in CoP when freedom is (partially) commanded by Loki. When you recruit monolith fighters (Strider and his group) to freedom squad commander says:
"We don't really have a commander outside of a mission"
Honestly Lukash is probably the worst freedom leader ever I hated him while playing SoC but the other two (Loki and Chekov) were great.
@@paskaalisaapaskaa5354 But not the Leader of the faction though.
Also they probably were more disorganised during their early days before the events of the Clear Sky. But they needed leaders for military operations (just to get the bandits to stay away from them and kill the mutants that are wandering too close to their base). And then Duty happened.
Man, some of those words really say that they smoked weed, did drugs, hate their own faction and commander
like the freedom are not generally druggies😂
@@kawaiiwaste there's basically just 2 mentions of weed/drugs. 1 is seen in the video and the other was Ganja, that's all if not counting alcohol.
@@slyth3682what im saying is being a druggie is the entire stereotypical image of freedom. many other faction npcs talk about freedom in that way
@@kawaiiwaste yeah i agree, everyone seems to think they are junkie just because a few guys mention weed. Pretty stupid
There’s also a plenty of dialogues where freedom guys talk about weed
I'm glad someone's finally translating these lines to English after all these years; they really do help in humanizing the different factions.
It's amazing worldbuilding
Hey you're that guy that does SoC secrets videos. Glad to see you here. Will you do CoP one day?
@@lonewaffle231 I'm unsure if I will. CoP's actually my least favorite game in the series and personally I'd rather cover the games that I enjoy than the ones I don't.

@@lonewaffle231 It was a decent one-off experience, but the quest design kind of lends itself to low replay value in my opinion.
Oh and the name's actually a funny little coincidence. I always liked one-word usernames and thought "why not name my channel after a bird". Funnily enough, I ended up sharing a name with a Call of Pripyat character.

Duty may have added chemicals in the clouds to turn rains gay.
Doesn't matter the faction. Doesn't matter the group. All factions agree in one thing... They just want some good F food.
Bro imagine how rich you would get if you managed to open a restaurant that serves gourmet food? That would be the most protected place in the Zone filled with people from all factions
@@thinkingboi9508 just imagine a faction like monolith but they want to protect the restaurant instead
The reason why I enjoy the Freedom/Duty Dynamic is because they reflect the duality of the zone so well.
The artifacts cure radiation sickness, reduce weight of objects, accelerate healing. The Electra anomalies can be harvested as energy sources. It makes sense that they want this miracle to be seen by the world.
But what will you do about people who stumbled into those very anomalies? How about an entire ecosystem of monsters? A literal hell spewing onto the soil that men refer to as "An emission." This is the monster the Duty sees.
These factions are the embodiment of these two clashing ideas, two drastically different sides of the same coin. In the end, you get to choose which half of this mysterious coin lands face up for yourself.
Though how a rigorously disciplined group failed to kill off Freedom Junkies who seem to only want to eat, smoke and inject substances into their circulation is beyond me.
Freedom is better equiped, somehow... duty is often using soviet bloc era weapons and equipment and they've had several leadership changes.
This is the only explanation i can give lol.
@@nastyrodriguez Apparently the Russian-speaking Stalker community has a semi-serious joke about all the inconsistencies of the lore and story.
"Its the Zone Bratan, don't think about it"
Which later evolved a splinter phrase:
"IT'S the Metro Series bratan, don't think about it."
@@nastyrodriguez Are soviet block era weapons worse than NATO ones though? Dolg apart from old AKs has also the modern ones
As well as there are junkies in Freedom, there are also experienced radicals from outside world like Lukash, for example, which is suspected in literally teracts, man. And he's not the only one such individual in Freedom. So I wouldn't be so skeptic about their abilities in fighting Duty, since even duties themselves admit their fine combat skills.
Duty fails to kill off Freedom partly because the image of freedom as nothing but zone-loving junkies is Duty's propaganda to a large extent.
And I reckon that another big part of is that Freedom's open approach to the Zone makes Freedom and it's fighters far more adept at adapting to the zone.
Like one part of the lore saying that whenever Duty tries to hurt the zone the zone pushes back.
Also seems to help that there's an abundance of principled fighters among anarchists.
me : oh finally translate for freedom. i wonder what they said after all this time?
"Shit im out of weed. where the fuck can i get more?"
yep thats freedom alright.
Freedom guys strike me as extremely chill, especially in their environment
The video did a neat job, but it didn't convey the absolute chillness these guys manifest. They use day-to-day language, but rarely use harsh insults even towards Duty. 'Bastards' and 'Idiots' are the extent of it, and trust me Russian language has some very brutal insults
I am from Russia and I confirm your words ;)
oh, believe me, i’d know. and uh, they’re quite painful
Definitely some of the kindest dudes in the zone, take them over Duty any day. Duty just gets so… patriotic? Over their ideals and it’s just tiring honestly.
Russia? Chernobyl is in Ukraine.
No one said it was in Russia, learn to read.
Man...
I can't help it but comparing this conditions to the ones during the Vietnam War, soldiers used to smoke weed just to be able to cope with the fear, anxiety and stress that they've had in such harsh and brutal situation during the war
freedomers are kind of in the same boat, it's rumored that they have to use drugs in order to combat the effects of the brain scorcher located not very far from their main base
Maybe thats why they miserably lost that war... and almost every war since ww2 lol they didnt even win ww2 actually, soviets did lol. Dont do drugs kids
Nam was the zone but with jungle and Vietnamese
The native atmosphere inlcluding these chat is the main reason stalker is the national game in russian speaking countries. People even are ready to close eyes to bugs and broken mechanics.

Freedom are definitely the most positive people in the zone, they really just want to accept the zone as a home for anyone willing to step foot in there and above all else a free place for free men.
Free to get mauled to death and be shredded by anomalies...or be extorted and killed by bandits or killed by monolith. But other than that, the zone is disneyland!
Free to step foot on a mine and your body parts start flying away, like they did to some dude in SoC. Or the positive commandants who sell your life like it's nothing, doesn't matter if it's Dark Valley or Army warehouses. What about the guy trying to eat you in the SoC base? Very positive people indeed. Freedom ideology is like Communism, sounds good in theory, doesn't work that well in practice.
The thing is though, the zone could expand and eventually encompass the world, billions would die.
If that weren’t the case though? Go nuts, but since it is the reality of it then it must be stopped.
clear sky more positive than them

I will never express enough how neatly they matched the factions and voice actors, like dutier sounds exactly like a person who would join duty - he sounds middle aged, experienced in life, collected and maybe a bit scarred, that's (maybe stereotypically) exactly what an average right-winger is.
Now let's take a freedomer - sounds like a fine man in early adulthood, full of ideas, dreams and hopes, sick of authority, rebellious and curious. Uses some english words because he was influenced by western culture that is the culture of freedom.
Mercenaries' and bandits' voices also fit crazily good, people who were responsible for choosing people to do voice acting did perfect job
The craziest part is, there was only a handful of voice actors for the game - most of them voiced characters for multiple factions, but manage to sound convincing in every role. Some of the best talent Ukraine had to offer.
theyre speaking Russian lol
@@augustfromalbion5297 and?

Looks like all factions suffer from depression in the Zone.
At least when around the campfire
Its not exactly a happy place, between everything wanting you dead, lack of good food, no guarantee of pay, and the zone itself trying to deep fry your brain
It's a depressing place. You're away from friends and family in a harsh enviroment where a single misstep can literally tear your body into tiny little chunks, and you can't even take the sight of a fellow human being as a good thing. Instead of "finally, someone!" it's "do I have to shoot this bastard before he shoots me?"

Ukraine, Russia, and other Warsaw pact countries have mandatory military service. So the loners, bandits, freedom faction and duty faction all have military training. If you pay attention, freedom AND duty are run in a military fashion; more so than the other loose groups like the loners or bandits. Duty wants to destroy the zone because it keeps on expanding, and the emissions spawn harmful anomalies plus the emitions cause people to become zombies, the zone is expanding constantly and has expanded into Russia and Belarus. Freedom believes that the zone is expanding and having all these emitions is because the zone is "alive" and sees people like duty as a threat; freedom believes that the zone is a treasure to be studied and that the artifacts are beneficial to humanity by improving and diversifying technology.
One of the good endings for the last trilogy of "call of Pripyat", is that duty and freedom come to amicable terms, and realize that they are both right, and work together for the greater good. the zone can benefit humanity in its own way, but it should also be constrained for fear of taking over the planet and causing irreversible damage to already fragile ecosystems.
freedom is run similar to duty, but they cut the people some slack; there are no mandatory morning drills, you are allowed to use substances such as weed, vodka, and other substances. however, you have to have enough control over yourself to function in the faction that is freedom.
Now I'm waiting for Clear Sky's chatter. In some lines they mention that something is not right among their ranks, and some members are not aware of their leaders' plans.
Раньше не понимал свободу, пока не столкнулся с дубами которые мыслят как долг.
Теперь ребят понимаю, они ведь даже в зоне сталкиваются с псами системы, такими как долг нигде не укрыться от таких "братьев, помощников".
As a Libertarian, I really enjoy these guys attitudes. They seem like the type of guys I'd hang out, and talk about how the government needs to stay out of personal decisions and how dumb it is some people rely on the government so much...
Well after watching all of these i came to the conclusion mercs are the only ones not forced to come to the zone and dont want to go back
wow freedom is actually so chill why people go so harsh on them.
Well because they're pretty shady people if you think about it. They accept anyone in their faction (this includes ex bandits or some form of that, basically taking in anyone with or without a serious record). They're hippie stoners, friendly and fun but more or less annoying shits. A lot of more Duty leaning stalkers hate them for being waay too childing and lorewise, gave up the Dark Valley to bandits of all factions which terrorize loners and even enslave some of them like the events on SoC.
Definitely less brutal than what Duty has but still some more reasons here and there.
@@mikhailbolodo1597 i mean the bandits pushed them out of the dark valley after the first faction war in clear sky cause the war weakened their fighting ability, plus you can argue that duty gave up agroprom to the military which are almost as bad as the bandits if anything
@@UgandanAirForce So you’re telling me that military having hundreds of well trained soldiers , helicopters , heavy vehicles , spec ops teams and etc are on the same level with people who’s best armour is literally a regular cape ?
Plus judging by Duties and Military relationships Duty might have just given Agroprom to them , since they are mostly allies
@@augustfromalbion5297 the backbone of the army is their conscripts, but they do have elite squads at their disposal, they can't really effectively use vehicles too far into the zone though because of damage infrastructure and anomalies. I also highly doubt duty gave it to them because the military used to own the army warehouses as their "FOB", but had to move it to agroprom because of the emission that happened in the beginning of clear sky since it got cut off. Duty most likely abandoned it since rostok is a much more strategic location, so the military just simply moved in since it was already empt and most likely the most convenient place for their new "FOB" compared to other places.
I have reached the point where I love everything about Freedom except for their main goal
Damm now that I understand what these factions are saying it makes me kinda feel bad for shooting them. This game keeps getting better and better. It's like they say "War is hell" "there's no glory in death"
i really hope stalker 2 will have tons of voice lines we can hear, so its always something different
I hope Stalker 2 will not be cancelled….

Yet stalkers are fried in near invisible traps, have their guts and blood splatter on trees in another variant of anomaly, fight dangerous mutants that will shred you to bits or worse, have an entire army of brainwashed troops fight them on a near daily basis, and almost every day an emission will wipe out those who can’t find shelter.
Emissions really only happy frequently during the events of Clear Sky [C-Con trying to stop Strelok's group.] and Call of Pripyat [C-Con isn't there to control when emissions occur anymore.], otherwise they're typically a bi-monthly occurrence.
