THANK YOU for such a GREAT TUTORIAL and no annoying music. I have so much yarn that I have purchased for sweaters and ended up quitting because, I had problems understanding what I was supposed to do. Thanks to you my yarn wont be wasted. You make it perfectly clear what needs to be done and how to do it. I will have a variety of different color sweaters now. Thank you again and I hope you will make more tutorials. Maybe one on TAAT socks. Gina
This has been a wonderful tutorial. I made the sweater and love it. The directions were so easy to follow. I am 85 years old and not too good at knitting but the project came out perfectly. I would love to see the person who is instructing. Her voice is so clear and she's so knowledgeable. Look forward to another project from her. Thanks for making my day.
The BEST knitting tutorial I have come across in my life! The way you speak, the speed and tone of your voice, makes it very easy to listen AND do at the same time! Please do MANY more tutorials, for followers like me, who have kept on trying to knit for yeaaaars without success!! God bless you my dear. Keep doing Tuts, You are simply the BEST!!
Wow! This young lady must be a teacher by trade. What a completely explained in detail, not remotely boring, and very well presented tutorial lesson. Thank you!
Great video, thank you! The only thing I do differently is that I knit both sleeves on the same circulars at once (two balls of yarn). It makes it easier for me to make sure I increase or decease equally.
What an epic tutorial!! Thank you so very much!!! I have been knitting for the last 3 years but have always been too scared of attempting a garment!!! Your tutorial has completely changed my mind, and I am now going to buy a sweaters worth of yarn and start this!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! 😁💕
Thank you so much. My daughter didn't want a cardigan with a normal round or v neck and I was struggling to find something less structured to make for her when I found this video. It is exactly what she wants.
I made this sweater when I first learned to knit, and I love the sweater so I made another sweater after I'd knit many other types of sweaters for awhile. You have detailed so much in this tutorial, thank you for working so hard for us to make this beautiful sweater! AND this sweater is nice and warm and cozy!😀
You have done an amazing job doing this video. You explained and demonstrating everything so clearly without confusing the viewer. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into making this demonstration.
I dont unterstand any thumbs down here. I love how u patiently describe any step and this is a great project. Thank u very much. I bought luxury silk mohair yarn and now its in my needles with your amazing video. Thank you very much🤗🤗🤗🤗
I don't either. She did an excellent job with every step. I have been knitting for many years but learned so much from her wonderful instruction and I think I might make another one in a different color
I have been crocheting off and on for some years now. As I watch your tutorial all the way through I was like I’m going to learn how to knit you made this so easy to understand. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Will attempt to learn first the terms and then proceed to make this lovely sweater. Thank you for all you and encouraging me to learn. 💕💕🥰💕💕
THIS ISA GREAT TUTORIAL, DIFFERENT TO MY KNITTING EXPERIENCES, I AM AUSTRALIAN AND HAVE BEEN KNITTING SINCE I WAS 6-7 YEARS OLD AND I AM NOW 82. I HAVE NEVER USED A MARKER OR BLOCKED A GARMENT, I HAD NEVER EVEN SEEN IT BEFORE I STARTED WATCHING AMERICAN TUTORIALS. I LOOOOVE THE WAY YOU EASED THE SLEEV IN E BY TAKING ONE STRAND THEN TWO STRANDS WHEN SEWING IT UP. SO I HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING TODAY. NORMALLY WE I WOULD SEW THE SLEEVES SEAM FIRST THEN SET THE SLEEVE IN. THANK, YOU ARE VERY EASY TO LISTEN TO, VERY CALM, I REALLY ENJOYED THIS. THANK YOU. BLESSINGS , TRIXIE.
I’ve been crocheting for a year and I love it, but I also want to learn knitting! This is my first ever knitted project (the most I’ve ever done is swatches) and so far so good! I love how detailed your tutorials are, great for beginners. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video. It is the clearest, most detailed, yet simple to follow tutorial. I love the repetition as you work through the steps, reinforcing your instructions. I am looking forward to making this for myself especially now that I've finished watching you work from start to finish. I wrote earlier on my knitting page (Facebook) that I wish to make this using an Alpaca/Silk blend. I swatched using a 4.5 mm needle which came out exactly to your instructions. Thank you once again for this fantastic video.
Thank you so much for this video. I am planning on making this cardigan. I learned so much about assembling a sweater. You made it so easy. Thanks again for all that you do!
I’ve been knitting nearly 7 years and get nervous when it comes to garments. Your tutorial is just the best!! You cover everything and make it look so easy! Thank you thank you thank you for the best tutorial ever! I’m going to give this a try!
I watched the video and got so excited to start my first sweater. The instructions where explained so that even as a newbie I could fallow along . I will e at my yard store when it opens in the morning. That k you for sharing this video. From Wendy
I made this sweater. Thank you for the tutorial. I usually steer clear of seamed sweaters, but you made the seaming process much less scary...thank you. Wonderful tutorial!!!
Ty for such an awesome pattern. This was my first knitted sweater and to be honest I have only knitted 2washcloths and 3 hanging hand towels before this. I just learned to knit . So you can definitely say this pattern is easy for a absolute beginner knitter. Tytyty
It’s so interesting how you are stitching your purls with your thumb! I knit continental but never saw that method before. Thank you for pattern and tutorial. Your manner of teaching is very clear and progresses so calmly and effectively. I think I can make this pattern as an intermediate level knitter.
Excellent tutorial. Anyone with some knitting skills can easily make this sweater with such wonderful directions. Great job. Loved the video. I have been knitting for many years, but thoroughly enjoyed listening and watching this entire sweater be completed.
I appreciate your patience in explaining the techniques in depth. It makes us to knit better. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Please can you also show how to knit a men’s sweater. 🙏
Best tutorial I have ever seen. Thanks for your time and clear introductions. Please give a sweater tutorial too. I would love to knit for myself. I am 5 feet and 6 inches, medium built. Thanks again 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Also wanted to mention, I don’t have an Addi machine. I prefer knitting but you have very few things that are hand knit and are useable projects, ie. Cowls, mittens, gloves, fingerless gloves, etc. If I take the time to knit I want it to look professionally done, well made, something people would like. THIS sweater is perfect for that! I also must either beg for yarn or ask my family to buy it for me. So I am looking forward to more things you knit! Thank you! 😁👍❤️
I’m already getting my material to starting my sweater. I love the concept of this sweater. I love when we work almost all the sweater in one piece. I’m not a beginner but I love your idea. Your explanation is very clear and easy. Thank you for sharing! I love it! ❤️
I've been knitting for 5 or 6 yrs and have wanted to knit my own cardigan for awhile now but couldn't find the courage, they all seemed to difficult but then I came across this tutorial. So beautiful yet so simple and you make it very easy to understand. Than you so much !
THANK YOU , THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! I’ve been knitting for 40 years and never, never seen anything like this. I always made my sweater in pieces then sewed all the pieces together. It was time consuming and tiresome . From now on going to do it this way. It’s a wonderful tutorial and you are a GREAT teacher. You have great teaching skills. Glad I found your website. Can’t wait to make my first sweater this way. Think I’ll add pockets. Again thank you.
Much thanks, lol...in the process of starting up a new basic square’ish sweater, my own pattern. After figuring out all my lace & cable stitches plain ran out of steam for the sleeves. Being just a casual weekend kind of sweater the hassle of worrying about decreases & maintaining pattern; again a really casual look. Your approach to add them on with a relaxed shoulder fit is perfect!! Much thanks, stay safe & be well!
You did a superb job on this video! I have knit a few sweaters already and this is by far going to be the easiest. You explained everything so well exactly as I would have done for me to understand everything. Also, your pattern instructions are very well written. You knocked both of them out of the park! First time sweater knitters, have fun!
Thank you for such details instructions on how to knit this cardigan. I’ve never Knit before, with your step by step instructions I hope I can knit my very 1st cardigan!!😊
Just cast mine on yesterday with Yarn Bee's Andes Alpaca in the colorway Moss. posted to FB yesterday and I know this will be a Fab sweater. thank you!
I've always had problems reading instructions so do more crochet than knit projects. I am also left handed which I think doesn't help. Your instructions is so much better from anyone else that I have looked at, and believe me I think I covered all UA-cam offers! I am digging out my 50 year old needles and giving it a try again, lol Thanks for helping me with your excellent videos!
I love this video tutorial!!! 🙂❤🙂❤🙂❤ I wis there would be more like these, I probably going to give this a try and take a break from knitting socks all of the time. And along with starting a baby blanket for my new grandchild that will be born in September since I going to be a first time grandparent.
This is one ingenious pattern! I love how you make the whole of the body in one piece without putting stitches on stitch holders. This is definitely going to be my next project!
Great tutorial! I'm a really slow knitter (continental knitting cramps my hands up pretty quickly) and decided to make the sweater longer (20 3/4 inches before creating the arm holes). It's a little discouraging to see that I've only accomplished about 24min of the video in about a month lol. I'm aware that there's a time-lapse and that I'm knitting a large size sweater, so I'm drawing strength from those realities. I'm hopeful that the upper back and front will go by faster and that I'll have my first sweater completed in the next month or so :)
Great patttern, Love how it all comes together and I love the color of the yard. I have knitted for about three years almost 4 and I have made two sweaters many pairs of socks, washcloths blankets Afghans. But I would love to give this a try thank you very much for all of your helpful hints and I’ll try to knit this thank you
I'm in the middle of too many WIPS but saving this video to do later! I'm just beginning to dive into garment knitting and crochet... Love your tutorials .. you are awesome!
The Yarn Fashionista thank you for such an easy sweater , I am a fairly new sweater knitter, ( I have made many socks ,scarfs, washcloths) and two sweaters but none as fashionable as this thanks so much
That’s beautiful! I can only knit a little. If I make a mistake, I’m lost, lol. I’ve never made anything, as I always mess up. But before you feel bad for me, don’t! My craft is crochet, and I love it. It suits me better. Still, I do keep practicing knitting now and then, as my mom knitted-she was a pro! She taught me a little when I was very small- the rest I learned (what little I know)-on UA-cam. I keep my hand in it just to feel close to her, as she died when I was 11years old. I like watching you knit-you’re so good at it! I’ll be 63 on July 5. You are so patient and sweet to watch and listen to; you’re a good teacher for those learning. Keep up the good work, so this craft never dies. ❤️
Hi Nancy! If you have trouble with knitting a project, I have a few videos on "reading" your knitting. Understanding the structure of the fabric can help you avoid and fix mistakes. Hope this helps, and Happy Yarning!
Your tutorials are so easy to follow...that comes from being such an amazing teacher! Thank you dear for sharing your talent. So excited to learn more from your teachings. Blessings to you!
First thing I would like tk say is thank you for making a video on how to do a Sweater. I am a Beginner on doing one. I asked lots of questions on Raverley groups that I am in, & I would never get answers from people, for a Beginner. I am still learning how to understand Guage, & that right now is an issue for me right now. So I came across ur video, & it is so much help for me, about the count. I love u have 9 different sizes on here. Thank you again.
Great sweater. I have shared this with my sister and mom. we live 3000 miles apart so this was a project that we could do together. We are going to make more than one. The easiest sweater pattern ever. Perfect for a beginner along with the tutorial. Thank you so much.
Finished this a month ago, wish I had listened more I used an acrylic/alpaca mix which is very scratchy, however happy with the overall shape & very easy pattern, thank you great instruction video, started another today, fully acrylic!
Just finished my sweater, I made the sleeves s but loose and didn’t fold the collar and it cans out beautifully very resembling a kimono style. Thank you for such s thorough demonstration and please do more videos, you’re wonderful!!!!
I have had this pattern in my stash for quite some time to knit, but I have so many projects to make, lol.. Plus, I am very lazy and nervous to do a gauge swatch, which my knitter friend says I MUST do first to make sure I get the sizing right in the end. Did you make a gauge swatch first?
I've knitted a top sweater from LB but this seemed so hard when I first watched this and as I kept watching it got easier and easier. Thank you as this give me lots more confidence that I CAN DO this. :)
I’ve only knitted rectangles (scarves and blankets), but because of your very clear instructions and video I’m going to try my first sweater. Thank you
Absolutely love your video and the detailed explanations given. I have crocheted a turtle neck sweater but have been hesitant to knit one. Will definitely try this cardigan before I try a knitted sweater. Thanks for this tutorial.
Great tutorial. I have just started learning the basic stitches sooo I haven't done a sweater, but you make it easy to try. So I'm going to try this one. Thank you for sharing this tutorial.☺
EXCELLENT tutorial! There is no room for doubt. Thanks so much for sharing. I shall attempt to knit my first garment but I need your help to determine an estimate of how many meters I would need for a sports weight yarn using a 3.5mm needle for a small size sweater. Thank you in advance. Best regards, Celeste
Hi Celeste! If you use a different yarn weight (sport weight instead of the worsted weight the pattern calls for), it will affect the size of the sweater. A thinner yarn and a smaller needle will produce a smaller gauge / stitches and rows per inch. So if you follow the pattern with a thinner yarn and smaller needles, the sweater will turn out much smaller than what the finished size is supposed to be for the size you want to make. The sweater would be narrower and shorter, and the sleeves would also be narrower and shorter. To use a sport weight yarn, the pattern would need to be heavily modified. Especially if this is your first time knitting a garment, I would recommend using worsted weight yarn and working at the gauge specified in the pattern. This will help make sure your sweater turns out well and at the right size. If you want the sweater to be "lighter weight" so it can be worn in the warmer months, you might try a worsted weight cotton or linen yarn (or some other fiber that is more breathable). If you need to use the sport weight yarn, then you'll need to look for a pattern that is written for sport weight yarn. Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any more questions!
THANK YOU for such a GREAT TUTORIAL and no annoying music.

I do the same thing with baby booties done in the flat.
Thanks for the reminder to do that with the sleeves.
You are a very well, gentle, and pleasant spoken young lady. You are also very knit savvy for such a young person. Great tutorial. Thanks.
Thanks so much for your kind words, Sharon! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
I’ve never made a cardigan , but your gentle instructions, and beautiful work , have inspired me, to give it a whirl !

You are the best teacher ever I understand every bit of this video I think I’ll make one 😊

I've just started making this!! Casting on all those stitches almost killed me but I'm so excited to keep going!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial
I had to count them about 10 times, I kept losing count. LOL
Very beautiful and stunning sweater you have done
This is one ingenious pattern! I love how you make the whole of the body in one piece without putting stitches on stitch holders. This is definitely going to be my next project!
I crochet more than I knit but I really want to make a cardigan so much like this!! All I need is the long cable needles and I'm set to go!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I’m new to knitting and you explain this beautifully. I’m looking forward to trying this.
Thank you for the video.I have the pattern but did not understand .Now I understand
Phenomenal, phenomenal tutorial!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to make it!!! This will be my first knitted garment ever! LOVE it!!! 💕
You can do it. Dont give up! Itll be worth it and something you'll be proud of :)
Making this sweater for myself. I usually give away but this looks so comfy. Using the same yarn but in Thistle which is a nice medium purple!

Great sweater. I have shared this with my sister and mom. we live 3000 miles apart so this was a project that we could do together. We are going to make more than one. The easiest sweater pattern ever. Perfect for a beginner along with the tutorial. Thank you so much.
Thank you, Amy! I'm so glad you like the pattern, and I hope you and your sister and mom enjoy making the sweater!
Thanks for these easy to understand instructions.

Absolutely beautiful. ♥️🧶🧣
Finished this a month ago, wish I had listened more I used an acrylic/alpaca mix which is very scratchy, however happy with the overall shape & very easy pattern, thank you great instruction video, started another today, fully acrylic!
I was teached very much from you. Thank you.
Wow. I love that grey! What a lovely gift giving lidea !!!
Just finished my sweater, I made the sleeves s but loose and didn’t fold the collar and it cans out beautifully very resembling a kimono style. Thank you for such s thorough demonstration and please do more videos, you’re wonderful!!!!
Currently knitting this sweater, started in early quarantine and I’m now on my last rows! I’m using Alize Angora gold, but I doubled the yarn :)
Great tutorial. I love this simple pattern, so I watched this video. Your inclusion of the finishing of the sweater is so well done. Great tips.
Thanks so much, Ramona! I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial!
I've knitted a top sweater from LB but this seemed so hard when I first watched this and as I kept watching it got easier and easier. Thank you as this give me lots more confidence that I CAN DO this. :)

Yay For Yarn Thank you so much for your reply and advice! I would then stick to worsted weight yarn but in cotton. Cheers.
Great tutorial and very well to understand it.... will maybe try to knit this in the fall! Thank you so much for this video!
