    I used 2 strands of a sport weight to get the same gauge as DK & it's amazing!! (A creme Merino
    with brown & sage speckles). I don't think I've ever knit up something so fast & easy.
    I made it for my bff & need to make one for me!!

    I've bought the pattern and made the crochet Wonder Cardigan, from your site. It took a while, but was super easy, and I was very happy with the end results, even if I had a few mess ups here and there on it. I made it for my granny, who doesn't have full mobility of her shoulders, due to having broken them a while back when she fell( a few years between breaks). I made it for her because she gets cold easily, and it is easy for her to slip on, and doubles as a small lap blanket. She was so happy! She used to crochet and knit, but her eyesight has started to fail her, and she can't see well enough anymore, and her arthritis has gotten pretty bad as well. 😞

    Sorry but I’m having such issues keeping the stitch count correct. This pattern has been really frustrating 😕 UPDATE: It's done and turned out great! 😅 I don't know why it took me basically 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through to finally get a hang of the pattern. It's not fundamentally difficult, but you do have to pay attention. To anyone else having my problem, just pay very close attention every time you make the first row of the pattern, and for the row following that, you just have to knit the YOs and purl the purls (easy). Once the piece was done, stitching it together was very easy, and my MIL loves the end result! Thank you for the offer of help, although I managed to slog through and figured it out, partly by dropping this for a while and working on a hat that turned out to have a similar pattern.

      You should use the stitch indicated in the gauge section of your pattern for the swatch. So in the case of the Enchanted Cardigan that would be Stockinette Stitch.

    Oh I need to make this one Chandi! How chic would this be in grey or black, paired with a long black outfit underneath?! 🤩

    Hello Mam... Just loved the way you knit it... I want to ask something... Do you make delivery in India??

    Just a question, is it possible to use a completely different yarn type/weight for this pattern without any complications?
    Because the yarn I'd like to use, lion brands amazing lace, is smaller and even with gauging everything out, I still cant seem to figure out if this pattern will work with the yarn. Lol

      Sure thing - just make sure you get the same size rectangles as mentioned in the pdf pattern and you'll be fine. The drape may be different but a gauge swatch will help you determine if you are okay with that. :)

    I was about to start this today but I’ve realised I bought 4 ply sock yarn instead of DK. Can I just hold the yarn double or will it not look good like that?

    I have a beautiful deep blue thick yarn. Unfortunately I don't know the weight but at one time I was going to use it for a blanket. Would you still ne able to use the heavier yarn? I am worried about the definition of the lace in comparison to the thicker yarn. Would large needles balance out and better define the lace?

      Yes, you can use the thicker yarn. I would also use larger needles to balance that out. Also, which you probably already know, remember that you will probably have a different stitch count for the pattern, since you are using thicker yarn and a larger needle. Just keep that in mind as you are creating. Enjoy!

    Hello, beautiful cardigan & model....
    Was the free pattern for a short period only? I’m trying to download it in August and it’s $5. Thank you.

    Can I use worsted weight yarn instead ? I have one I want to use up

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts  2 роки тому

      Yes, absolutely! You'll just want to make a gauge swatch with your yarn and compare it to the gauge listed in the pattern, so the fit is correct. You'll also likely need to change needle sizes to match your worsted weight gauge to the pattern gauge.
