Ukraine has lost between 500 and 600 thousands of its soldiers. Russia has defeated Nato through its proxy Ukraine. Nato can give Ukraine billions of dollars and tons of weapons but it would never work because Ukraine is running out of soldiers, that is why men of fighting age are NOT allowed to leave the country, and older males are being forced into the Army. Unless Nato puts boots on the ground, Ukraine is doomed, and if they do that - that would mean the start of WWIII.

As someone born in the 90s, some of my first memories of the US on the global stage was 9/11. I do not have the rose tinted point of view my parents and grandparents. Since I've been alive, the US has been a complete embarrassment. I was a bit patriotic when I was a kid, but now I feel nothing but contempt for my government.

I was listening recently to a professor who expressed his hope for the future in the youth. He said one kid came up to the front and his folder fell and pages went flying all over the place. He said the entire front row of his classmates without saying a single word got up and helped him pick them up. He said he was moved and so appreciative of this gesture of kindness because when he was their age if that had happened to anyone in his class they would all have snickered or started laughing at the person. Just wanted to add a little bit of positivism not related to politics but evidencing kindness, caring, decency, principles. In these despairing times let us hold on to these small signs of hope for a better future

Look back at the political shift and the overt militaristic growth, the abandon treaties, the political assertion. They took it that Russian fragmentation was the USAs victory. Now they're realising that wasn't the case. Russia just like Britain let go of their colonial assets once the cost and conflict made it unwise to continue.
