When I was visiting Russia in 2018, we began talking about how the government treats the citizens in the US vs Russia. I told them how America went down hill since 1963 when it was taken over. Long story short, they said if a nuclear war started while I was in Russia, I could go down into the bomb shelter with them. They said, they have plenty of food, water, and medical supplies stored and the people volunteer to make sure everything is ready in the event of a nuclear war.
Yes and what does our government have prepared for us, nothing, the government and billionaires have their boom shelters ready to go and they will be saying good luck to the rest of us from a underground mock up of the oval office.

The Russians lost 19 Million Civilians and 8Million Soldiers in WW2 and fought with the Allied fores to squash Fascism under the Nazis. Which pretty much renders north hemisphere gone to nuclear winter and radiation up to the point that starving people, well, those (in) lucky enough to survive up to this point, gonna try migrating to the very south of Africa to try to - yet again - take land from another nation in order to grow crops for themselves.

Back in the early 1970s I was required to teach fallout shelter management to junior high students. I was trained to use a Giger counters and other devices to record radiation expose. My training was passed on to the students. How to manage a shelter was taught along with many topics that might arise. My training took place at the state capital department of education.
Such weapons should never have been allowed to be created.

Now, here's the difference between Americans and other peoples.
I'm not quite as old as Wilkerson, but not by much. Like him, I was a school kid during the post WWII Cold War. But we are Celts and lived in England.
One time, I went home to ask my Dad, "Hey Dad, the kids are saying there's this little bomb, its as big as a golf ball, but if it blows up the whole world will blow up and we'll all die. Is that true?" Well, Dad looked at Mum, they both laughed, and said "No, of course not. Just another bit of nonsense". And I said "Oh, good" and ran off to play.
WE had NO "Duck under the desk". No "store food and build a bomb shelter". We'd just had enough of that for six years. No one talked about it. When the first TV arrived and they showed this from America, everyone laughed at the Americans. "Typical hysterical Yanks" my Dad muttered. I had a normal childhood, which it seems the kids of Wilkersons' era in US didnt'.

No submarine should be nuclear powered or carry ANY nuclear weapons. Nuclear weapons should be restricted to the home soil of the owner.
Precisely what I have being saying, Nato or specifically America will launch the first nuclear strike as soon as the body bags start showing up in America. Would Russia tolerate a nuclear strike without retaliating? I don't think so. Putin has already said that he would consider first use if the Russian homeland is attacked by conventional missiles. Also Israel, Pakistan and India are all nuclear powers who would attack if their homelands were under direct threat.
