With that level of articulation this company should make fighting characters their bread and butter. Imagine what these guys could do with things like tekken, mortal kombat, kengan, Baki, DBZ, hell they would kill it
Maaaaaan...I hope so. Storm is killing it with their figures, but their scale isn't really true 1/12 and they take forever to put them out. I would love to see Jada do Tekken, MK, SNK figures. But it seems like atm they are focused on Capcom franchises with Street Fighter and Mega Man. If they have freedom to do other Capcom franchises like Resident Evil, DMC, Dark Stalkers, Strider, Ghouls n Ghosts, etc. It would be f'n awesome to see.
Jada's main guy, Juhn, has stated in interviews there are other lines he'd like to do. They're just focused on making the SF and Mega Man lines a success first. I'd seriously love a Darkstalkers line, despite him saying their character designs would be a pretty big challenge to render in figure form. And I want all the Street Fighters from these guys, including 6. lol
@@AbelFrost Capcom has a ton of cool IPs they could make into figures. Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, Captain Commando, and Viewtiful Joe are the long-shots on my wish list from Jada. Resident Evil and DMC seem possible if not likely.
@@Ota_Drew Too bad they don't know how to make sure everything gets released all at once. Either that, or they held back Chun-Li on purpose so they could make her an online exclusive. Which is what I think is gonna happen to one or two of the figures from wave 2 as well
I was really impressed with these fist two Jada Street Fighter figures. So much more value than your standard Marvel Legend. I can't wait to see where the line goes.
Jada toys absolutely killed it. They put Hasbro on notice for sure! Scooped these up as soon as i found them! Third strike is my favorite version of character designs.
With how much detail, articulation and accessories these figures have for their price, I really hope JADA gets around to doing Darkstalkers! Would love an affordable Morrigan Aensland, Hsien Ko, and Felicia!
First, question of the day: SSF2 was my favorite arcade as a kid, so I feel deeply nostalgic about this version. As for this figure, it is a little more flawed than Fei-Long. Even then, it's impressive what Jada can offer for such price. Hasbro don't have any excuse for the crap they release.
My favorite is Street Fighter Alpha 3 in terms of gameplay and roster. The aesthetic of Alpha 2, including designs, artwork and music holds a very special place in my heart.
According to Juhn, Capcom insisted on red gloves and black hair, which tracks: the CGI mockup for the figure had brown hair and brown gloves Rather odd they didn’t force that on Storm Collectibles though
Ryu’s had black hair and red gloves since Third Strike, iirc, so it’s the look that’s in Smash Brothers, it’s the look that was in Street Fighter 5 and in his classic outfit from 6. Capcom probably requested that the figure be like that because it’d be weird to see brown hair and brown gloves for people who aren’t used to that look.
Yes indeed - I’ve been waiting for this review! Jada Toys’ Street Fighter line has exceeded my expectations! They bloody killed it with this release, too! Ryu is my favourite Street Fighter character, along with M.Bison, Ken and Akuma. Blimey! I sure hope it is not long before we see Jada Toys release figures of those characters. Mister Anthony, I still recall your Play Arts Kai Ryu figure review video from many years ago. It was the very first video of yours I saw; I ended up subscribing to your channel AND buying the Ryu figure. (I also bought, collected, displayed the Play Arts Kai Arkham series figures, courtesy of your brilliant reviews). Thank you for sharing, Arrivederci, Giovanni Marino, M.D.
I do have a few minor issues with Ryu and FEI Long but I'm very happy with this figures and I won't hold it against them. For a company this new to action figures, this is an impressive start. For being this new and for the price, they're totally worth it. The unique sculpting between figures, the paint, the accessories and the incredible articulation, this is an exciting line that people should support. Companies much larger than Jada are going to need to step up their game.
I will give Jada Toys a chance regarding Street fighter, just as long as they keep at it. Apart from SOTA, many other companies have stopped producing SF figures at the beginning, making collectors have an incomplete set. Fingers crossed so they do the whole set from Super Street Fighter II. 🤞
Now that they're in dealings with Capcom, I would love some Ace Attorney figures! Or maybe Dragon's Dogma figures, knights or whatever they want to make. Of course, what I most would love to see them do is Castlevania....
Just got these yesterday. My only complaint is Ryu’s diaphragm is limited for no reason. But that’s a very little complaint. For the price point and in comparison to other figures at this price point these are amazing so far!
Just love to see how this turned out. Hope Akuma doesn't take too long. I'm not even a Street Fighter fan but Akuma was a fun character in Tekken 7 so here's hoping Jada makes a good one that'll surpass even this release.
Evil Ryu is a convention exclusive. And Chun-Li is an online exclusive. And I'm calling it right now, Dhalsim is gonna be the online exclusive possibly
Yeah, that torso is definitely function over aesthetic. Shame about the skin tone, but I'm pretty sure they'll release like 100 of Ryu variant later lol. Still worth the price👍👍
Hey Anthony. Mine does have some QC issue. My default Ryu's head had his right eye painted a bit off side from the place. Oh yea and i also has the same bandana problem like yours. Well, it's not very noticeable when I display it. But, kinda a bit bummer. Love ur review Anthony!
I bought this figure mainly because I don’t have a 6 inch Ryu, I personally don’t like the face sculpt but I can appreciate the figure. The plastic feels a little soft to me, it doesn’t feel as durable as Hasbro figures, but I dig the accessories and articulation! The Fei Long figure was definitely my favorite from these releases so much fun to pose
I knew that you would like this very articulated Ryu action figure because from my own personal opinion, This Ryu figure is so the very definitely best of the character in years because looks so...... cool in poses and I don't collect Street Fighter figures but him and Chun Lee from Jada Toys will go great together, Awesome review
SSF2: The New Challengers is always going to have a soft spot in my heart, so I'm 100% all in for this line. Sad that BBTS hasn't PoL'ed mine yet though! 😢 Glad you're feeling better, and solid review as always, thanks! 😎👍
Been really anticipating your review with all the praise this line is getting and a lot of the engineering seemed to do what you've always harped on. My favorite is 3rd Strike. I really want an Oro figure and the animation of that game is top notch. Im hoping their going to do alternative colors, Ryu with the yellow headband, navy gi is what I always used in 3S.
I for one am glad that these two DON'T have the same torsos as Fei Long has always been portrayed as having a slimmer body. Ryu is usually bulkier but at least the Gi covers his abs
This figure is so good. I just got him. I might like him more aesthetically than the figuarts one. Idk, but im satisfied woth my purchase. Just looks like the Roo I've grown up with and mained over the years.3rd strike is by far my fav design wise.

Appreciate the in depth review. Your review of this figure was the one I was anticipating most. But I will say that the butterfly joints definitely get more range than what u showed.Maybe u just need to break it in a bit more. And I totally agree that Fei Long is the better of the two releases.
QC def has some problems. Ryu's butterfly was stuck with glue and Fei Long's diaphragm is stuck and pops back into position like a spring-loaded action feature. Heat isn't helping. Luckily, Jada customer service is sending me replacements.
I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one of these figures. The fact that JADA did not stick to the Ultra Street Fighter II design does concern me. Not sticking to the proper design will make it odd if they want to go and make a Street Fighter Alpha Ryu, or Street Fighter 3 Ryu. Each series had their own distinct design that would make good figures down the line. Mixing details will leave hardcore fans a little unsatisfied. There is promotional Street fighter II art where his gloves are red, so I will let it pass.
Was waiting for your review on this one, looks really good, a little worried about quality control issues, as I haven't seen them where I live, so will probably have to buy them online and yeah I''ve seen terrible eye paints on these. Btw do you personally like it more than Sh figurarts one (without considering price) ?
Your consistency of uploading videos every single day for years is insane, man. Thanks for this vid. Have you seen Storm Collectibles SFV Ryu? Which do you prefer compared to this one? Also, my fave for character design is SF6 Ryu with the classic costume, which looks like this figure.
Had been waiting for ur review on these SF figures. These figs from Jada are awesome. I agree the torso for Ryu looks a little unnatural but still Jada have done a great job at showing how good normal figures can be if some care is put into it
I saw a review of Fei Long and agree he looks better than Big Foot Ryu. Fei long could make an amazing Shang Chi custom. It's only really the face portraits I'm not keen on. They may be game accurate but man those Dennis Healy (UK politician in the 1970's - 80's). I'd still like a couple of these. Hasbro need to implement this kind of articulation in all their figure lines. The accessories alone for the price point are better than most Hasbro offerings. Jada Toys...this is the way!👍
I didn’t know the blast effect was called a hodoken..learn somethin new from you all the time! I’m not a fan of the orange skin but aside from that the figure seems great. Nice review Anthony 💯💯💯♥️♥️♥️💖💖💖

Thank you for keeping it 💯
Always
Street Fighter 4 hands down (Adon) main
it has more accessories and better articulation than most legends 😂
I think "all Marvel Legends" works if you're only counting standard releases.
Was waiting for your review on this one, looks really good, a little worried about quality control issues, as I haven't seen them where I live, so will probably have to buy them online and yeah I''ve seen terrible eye paints on these. Btw do you personally like it more than Sh figurarts one (without considering price) ?
also my fav versions art styles, character design and animation wise is SF3.....would have loved to see more SF2 classic characters on that game
Third Strike, and Alex for life!
Your consistency of uploading videos every single day for years is insane, man. Thanks for this vid. Have you seen Storm Collectibles SFV Ryu? Which do you prefer compared to this one? Also, my fave for character design is SF6 Ryu with the classic costume, which looks like this figure.
I've reviewed every Storm Ryu. Not really comparable to this figure though. Thanks for watching.
@@AnthonysCustomsSorry I never saw this before. Thanks for responding. Happy holidays!
I would love if these guys made a mortal kombat line. I don’t want to break bank just for some classic looking figures.
Great review bro, as always! Loving this Jada Toys line. Longtime subscriber and I hope all is well with you and your fam. 👊🏼😎
Thanks. And thanks for the continued support.
I can't wait to get this, I'm looking forward the their Mega Man figures as well, hopefully we'll get some Mega Man X figures as well.
Had been waiting for ur review on these SF figures. These figs from Jada are awesome. I agree the torso for Ryu looks a little unnatural but still Jada have done a great job at showing how good normal figures can be if some care is put into it
Indeed
Never been a fan of street fighter, only bc I've never played them, but these figures look great
I saw a review of Fei Long and agree he looks better than Big Foot Ryu.
Jada Toys...this is the way!👍
God this figure is so cool it's a must have for me.
How is paint in the rubber hair and belt, will it long last?😢
Should be fine
@@AnthonysCustoms thanks bro
I didn’t know the blast effect was called a hodoken..learn somethin new from you all the time! I’m not a fan of the orange skin but aside from that the figure seems great. Nice review Anthony 💯💯💯♥️♥️♥️💖💖💖
Happy to help!
Will you review the Jada Mega Man figures too?
yessir
I have both Ryu and Fei Long, but I do hope they'd make an M. Bison anytime soon.
They already showed him
With this figure of Ryu and with Fei Long, you can recreate the fight scene from Street Fighter 2 animated movie 🎥
Indeed. Love that movie
@@AnthonysCustoms Me too. Although I think it could have been more great if Chun-Li was never too injured to then go to the fight with Ryu and Guile against Bison.
I was waiting for this one. I think the 9 is on point. Will Fei long get a 10? Great review as always, Anthony.
I hope they take up Tekken next
Mine is not that glossy and the paint of my Ryu is good.. I think I got mine from the new factory and only Ryu from behind the package
