The reason jada is stating they do not drop it in waves is because their distribution was very bad, so instead they separated the figures on the back and made them come in single drops.
I wish I knew about this before! Looking at mine close up, the face is pretty rough. Lots of speckles on the skin, and it's quite obvious that they cleaned up the hairline with a brush and some flesh coloured paint. I'm not expecting perfection from a reasonably priced figure, but it sucks when you discover that there is a better version.
My Ryu's packaging is like that as well. The figure itself looks more premium to me than the "actual" 2.0, because everything looks more matte (even the hair and headband), and it also has some details on the skin.
The new one seems to have a more matt finish. My Chun Li is from the first factory so she looks like she worked up a sweat.😅 My local store stocked Chun Li a week after Ryu. I bought them both and later realised Chun Li was from the first factory, Ryu from the second. When I picked my Chun Li off the shelf: one had a matt finish to the face and lousy paint apps on her blue top. The yellow was all over the place. Another had a black mark on the face. I picked one with clean paint but a slightly sweaty face. If you look at the early figs: the heads are moulded in a flesh coloured plastic, but then a base coat of flesh paint is applied. Dhalsim seems to just have the base plastic showing but with the details painted.
I noticed something interesting, esp. when I finally got my M. Bison... Asian releases tend to be more matte, I think even before the factory changes. My Ryu (not a 2.0) has matte body, hair and headband. But it was really the M. Bison that's interesting, because my figure has darker red and matte finish as compared with the glossy ones I see on reviews and even on fb groups by people from western countries. My 2.0 Chun-Li, however, looks identical with the one on this video😅 There are also some 2.0 Chun-Lis I see with glossier legs 🤔

I was wondering why I saw a fei long with different packaging at target
I forgot to say: thanks for doing the comparison. For anyone who hasn't already bought version one this could help them get the better version.👍
Appreciate it! 👊

Yeah makes sense. When you look at the older figures you can see why they changed factories.
The box on the left is taller.
Hey my friend what's the status update on wave 3 ?
Will you be getting the pink sdcc version? $35 is a steel! But additional $10 for shipping.
Yeah for sure. I’ll be getting 2of each.
The color of the kick effect is also a different shade of blue
Where did you get the new one?
Amazon. But all companies should be carrying the new one by now.
I'm in the UK.
The front of the Chun-Li packaging is like the second version but the back has the three figures on it like the first version.

Hmmm I would assume first factory
The one I have has the same packaging…but the heads are those from the second factory. The serial number matches the second factory.
I hope blue Chun-li gets rereleased with gold trim instead of yellow.
Doesn’t seem unrealistic
Thank you for this informative comparison video!
Thanks for watching!
@@RichyFigs 👍
So thanks to your video, I realized that I was sent two factory 1's instead of a factory 1 and 2.
Well I’m glad it helped to some degree. Thanks for watching
I have both versions. Which one should I open and which to keep packaged
I’d open the newer one
Jada, if you're reading this please drop a pack of battle damage headsculpts using the SF2 defeat screens

Yeah the qc on each figure had kind of been all over the place. The newer dogs have a much better consistency.
Very good sir I really am proud 😎
If you like your Chun-Li you can keep your Chun-Li.

I love these figures but they are difficult to find I want Ryu but I've never seen him anywhere
