Happy 2021 everyone! Camping in the treehouse for this week, Crazy Neighbor and I put a ground level "garage" under the treehouse, and added some structural integrity with some lag bolts. This was a prime week to get up into the treehouse and have a good old fashioned camp out in the yard.

I don’t care where Steve is camping or how Steve is camping as long as Steve has a video I’m happy🙏🏻🙌🏼😂
Right on I so agree 👍👍👍👍
Yes me to
@@jimmybigfoot1287 Yeah, he could pretty much camp at the "treehouse" and walk through his own woods once a week, I'd still watch.

Thanks
Amen !
whats the use in having property
if you`re not going to use it.
"We ran out of lumber and ambition" that should be on a t-shirt. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A project for Steve - plant some saplings
I would by that shirt!
I'll take mine in dark blue
The tree house really should be, affectionately, known as the “Hunker House”
The Hunker Bunker!
"The Hunker Hut"
@@wyattsdad8561 damn you beat me too it 😂
Hunker Down Town?
Hunker Up!
Bruh, I think people tune in for you, not just stealth camping. I actually subscribed because of your personality and the fun shit ya do.
Definitely 😁👍 same lol . He's such a buzz brilliant 😅😅😁👍😎✌
Yeah I actually like these types of videos more.
Same
Same here
@Mike Wor to have a group camping trip with steve & crazy neighbor , that would be awesome
The ultimate irony: Steve comes out one morning to see someone stealth camping in HIS tree house!
Maybe some stalker is actually doing that. He sneaks in and eats Steves food. Would explain why the meals sometimes have to be quite large to be filling.
yeah that would actually be funny lol
That would be epic hilarious.
OH so some how you read my post a DAY before I wrote it ... hahahhaa
A family of raccoons
“I’m not always up at dawn, but I’m usually up at dusk..” these quotes are cracking me up
This quote is a whole mood.
Yes, dirty stealthers are great but I’d bet I can safely speak for just about everyone when I say that we are here FOR YOU. You are simply one of the most awesome people and you inspire so many people all over the world. We are here no matter what kind of camping you are presenting. So, yeah. Keep on keepin’ on, this video was GREAT! 😊 All our best to Beautiful Wife and Crazy Neighbor too! Love, Christian and Kiirsten!
Hell yeah! We love watching Steve be Steve.
Just do what makes you happy!
Exactly. We love him just the way he is. I think that’s why so many of us relate to him because we’d do the same things.
“Even if you’re not bushcrafty doesn’t mean you can’t be crafty.” can be your version of “If the women don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.” 😁
"Keep your stick on the ice"
"If it ain't broke, you're not trying."
Red Green all the way!👍
Steve should actually sell some merch with some of his slogans
Love red green
'This did not come out of a squirrel' may be the quote of the year!
As a diehard fan from your neighbors from the south I needed something like this today. Thank you for being you Steve !
I hope you steve, beautiful wife, crazy neighbor, and everyone reading this has a blessed 2021.
When my best friend was alive and we we're youngsters we used to do this type of thing all the time during the summers and would always have a winter shelter built on my papaws property or nearby... thank God we didn't have cell phones back then though.... probably would have been a lil more twisted teas, n shenanigans... But now all i have is memories n watching ole Steve do the two step... be safe brother...
"Just because you're not Bush crafty doesn't mean you can't be crafty." that's a quote.
If the women dont find you handsome, they should at least find you crafty.
Yah. Sounds like "Red Green."
That would be a great saying on one of his shirts!
"Just cause you're not bush crafty, doesn't mean you can't be crafty." I love that! Stay golden Steve!
Red Green
A "relaxing, normal, regular" Camping with Steve video is just what I needed this week. Thank you!
man just finishes talking about how a chainsaw is a nice murder weapon, then whips out the most dangerous weapon of the modern times, a twisted tea.
LOLOLOL Yeah dude!
lol thats great
It is dangerous, it goes down like sweet water. I can drink a 12 pack of those in one sitting.
LOL this comment got me.. good one patrick
the moment i saw 'ol Steve out the drink, I immediately was like "I understood that reference"!
Steve: “I’m done with the weapon”
Also Steve: *proceeds to grab another weapon*
Getting ready to hit the bed hard
I came here to say this!!
I had to look closely and laughed so hard!
FUCKING MOOD MOMENT
I saw that and how he positioned it so we could read the name, Awesome!!
You are a very well-spoken man. There is a certain poetry that comes out as you talk.
Steve: “After avoiding capture, I’m going to have a nice normal relaxing night.”
Also Steve: *goes looking for moose completely unarmed*
He probably had a twisted tea he's good.
@@johnorr8626 lmaoo i was wondering if i was the only one who saw that
Steve could sleep and have some step twos INSIDE a moose and it would not catch him.
That Twisted Tea just smacks the hell out of your taste buds!
I thought, did he really just open a Twisted Tea??? awesome
I loved that segue. "This chain saw is a deadly weapon in the wrong hands. But now it's time for a Step Two..." and cracks open a Twisted Tea.
You should never apologize for anything Steve. We LOVE YOU!!
*I ALWAYS SEEM TO ENJOY THE VIDEOS WHERE STEVE AND CRAZY NEIGHBOR ARE TOGETHER. TEAM ADVENTURES JUST SEEM MORE FUN TO ME.*
"Even a skilled murderer would find this a very capable tool........" That sounds like a solid 5 star Amazon review XD
"Let's get it out onto the tray."
Steve Wallis is a Steve1989MRE fan...
Especially because it was a plate, not a tray.
**NICE**
Nice hiss
Nice
Nice... ;)
I'm not really a huge fan of the stealth camping, but I get the idea and I still enjoy watching them. I watch because I like seeing what camping can be like on any budget. Steve seems like a decent guy and is entertaining enough to keep coming back.
"I'm not always up at dawn, but I'm usually up at dusk." 3:15. That is the point at which I subscribed to this channel.
"Just tuck and roll" LOL! The commentary was on point in this one!
I’m happy I’m not the only one that laughed at that
Joined for the stealth camps. Stayed for the Steve. Steve is my cuppa tea.
Is that a Twisted Tea?? Careful Steve, those things pack a punch!
Lol I was thinking the same thing when I saw the yellow can
LMFAOOOOOOOO
Lol someone needs to send steve a 4 loko

What, those things are just water.
Steve, you should go camping with Joe Robinet and teach him that camping doesn't have to be so difficult.
No no ...crazy neighbour should go with Joe. Joe would be like WTF
they could both teach each other something
@@Buzz420 I doubt that. Joe is an adult, pretending to be a boy scout. Joe even admits he's not a survivalist. Who in there right mind would go camping with minimal gear. Why would anyone not take a tent a sleeping bag and a lighter for God sakes. 99#% of people camp like Steve. Almost know one camps like Joe. Kids and people that have never camped are attracted to Joe, but his style is not reality. Joe has a shtick. Steve is the real deal.
@@stephenmelton7706 You have a point, but JR. Isnt doing anything extreme...most people go car camping with the family so of course they don't need any fancy gear. But if you start doing some " real backpacking", off trail and for multiple days, you would have similar gear. Usually people don't just drop tons of $ in one shot. They slowly buy stuff as they go, adjusting and changing out as they go...when you try to hike 20+ miles a day you don't want to have 60lbs on ur back...
foil packets are STUPENDOUS! If you guys up there have dollar trees (or the equivalent) they sell perfectly sized pre-cut sheets for a buck. (not the furry ones with horns) You can easily load them up with veggies/meat before heading out and all you need do is toss it on a fire...done. Also? Parchment paper in the oven (I know not exactly camper related) creates an easy dinner too. Just load the ingredients with herbs (etc....anything that appeals) and toss it in the oven! It makes perfectly portioned meals for the entire family. I have heard that you can bake while camping...but it looks complicated...it basically involves a large pot, with stones/embers...possibly sand/gravel on the bottom of the pan...then you place the aluminum foil packets on top of the stones and close it. Then you place hot coals/embers on top of the pan lid. It will bake them. I'm not exactly sure what they call this method, I mostly picked it up from watching grandpa kitchen (a youtube site...btw...that is not only informative about cooking without a stove...but is heart warmingly delicious to boot). I love watching a variety of different cooking methods because in the wild you obviously don't have a ready made oven...but people have been baking without a stove for ages now (and still do to this day! It's amazing!)
"This did NOT come out of a squirrel".
Classic.

@@LuckyBaldwin777 What? The donut holes don't taste like the droppings or the droppings don't taste like the donut holes.
@@danburch9989 lol I was thinking the latter, but this is one of those rare times when both options are true.
Doesn’t matter if Steve is camping in his backyard I’m still gonna watch for the vibes
I love when Steve is like "you don't have to stick around if this isn't you bag" and I'm like bruh you could do a video about your favorite types of rocks and I watch. Also the production quality on this video was amazing! Loved all the camera angles.
Wow, did a lot of us need this today!
Camping and drinking, what a great combination!
These vids always make me feel like I'm hanging out with an old friend who's full of wisdom.
Thanks! Haha, I gain a little wisdom through trial and error, but I would say I’m far from truly wise
You should pull start that thing just to mess with people.
I’ve watched this channel from the start. There are no two ways about it, Steve bought a new camera. Good on you bud. Keep up the great content!
When you said the bush crafty thing all I could think of was “if the women don’t find you handsome they should at least find you handy”

Something about the unlaced boots gets me everytime.

OK 2 seconds into to it an I see a cubby house, Steve is living the life we dreamt of as a kid and dare not do as an adult,

This was actually relaxing, campfire by the treehouse, good meal and some shuteye. Thanks
"Morning is here, right on time." That's the most positive thing I've heard in a while.
Steve, I just found you a few weeks ago and I have to say you are one of, if not my favorite youtuber. Your videos put my restless brain at ease and I feel like im right there with you pausing time for a bit in the woods. Please continue this channel for as long as life stays crazy. This world needs someone who knows how to take a step back, eat frito chili in a bag, and hunker down.❤
Steve were in bad times. It’s good just to see your face.
Your channel allows me to camp vicariously through your escapades.
Hail Steve!
Treehouse action is definitely my jam!
I seriously needed a no stealth er this week Steve. Just a chill chat around the 🔥 was perfect. LMAO at “How bad could it be?” Just don’t
I agree 100%! Needed one to relax to
My old camping buddy Paul (who sadly is no longer with us) used to bring a sauce concoction consisting of mustard, ketchup, hot sauce and whatever else seemed right, in a mustard squeeze bottle. He called it "murrr."
"Want some murrr for that pork chop?"
Btw I like your tree house. I have a similar structure in my backyard, but mine has three stories. I just couldn't stop at two. 😂
Heck yeah - just in time for a Step 2! Thanks as always my friend
There is a guy that built a small cabin that he camps in and pulls around with a snowmobile. His UA-cam channel is titled The Outsider. It may give some ideas for builds.
Also, the natives of Siberia use a nesting two tent system, using fur tents, one may find interesting. A larger, outer tent keeps out the elements and creates a 'dead air' space that helps to insulate the inner tent. The smaller, inner tent is used for sleeping which is heated by ones body heat and a long burning candle made from caribou fat and salt water. A two tent system might be an interesting try if the weather is especially cold. I can't be certain anymore, but I think this was on Ray Meers show a while back. The main interest of the show was how Siberian natives get nutrients usually not present from the fish they dry in the sun.
Thanks for your videos and for sharing a bit of grounded normalcy. Cheers.
That piqued my interest
i watch the outsider & he has good content too
He and his father also built a (very) small cabin entirely out of pallet wood...a seriously nice bit of work.
P.S. -- and yeah, his snowmobile sleep shelter is a brilliant piece of kit.
@@ironwolfF1 Are you perhaps thinking of TA Outdoors? He and his dad - TA Fishing- built a pallet wood shed/cabin.
@@GalapagosPete i also watch TA outdoors but the outsider is not the same. both have good content though. check em out

Thanks for the vid, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Steve memeing on everyone with the the twisted tea lmao
Yeah, I felt like he was holding it specifically to show off the logo to mess with people.
definitely not like other camping vlogs out there with fancy things but its the point of this channel that sometimes simplicity can be better too.i love how chill steve is when making his vlogs just sitting around enjoying the step two, whats cool is that you can actually feel that youre with him in his campings and having a chill conversation keep up the good work sr steve
"And I, I took the road less travelled by. And that has made all the difference. "
"It doesn't taste like a skunk" High praise indeed, the beer company should use that in their marketing.
Steve is like the Mr. Roger's of camping.
You talk big but will you sign the contract to fight me ?
I always have the best luck of packing a bowl and receiving a notification about your latest upload. It is a beauty day in Edmonton today, eh, Steve? One of these days I will cross paths with you. Have a good one!

Relaxing with a bowl and Wallis as well, gettin hunkered
Thomas Jordan well done my friend well done 👍🏻
I would probably recommend adding a couple of timbertech type screws at each of those tree connections. They are a torx type driver and go in easy with a cordless impact driver. The head is a large pan-head style.
I'm happy to watch anything you put up because it's you. You're a good and humble bloke and are unpretentious which is a breath of fresh air. As for projects, have you thought about building your own (including perhaps painting for camoflage) your own tarp tent where you can make the right joins and add grommets for pegging it down yourself? Like a portable a portable Casa De Steve. I'd had thoughts of a collapsable wooden frame (hinges and plug inserts that you can throw a cover over to make the entire thing rigid and stronger with a tarp system cut to size then taped up with duct tape so it's foldable to slide right over and peg down. As for the tree house, I'd recommend overlapping the planks for the siding so it helps seal up the gaps and allows for a bit of movement should the structure shift any, you'd still have some of the overlap there to cover the gaps up. Might need to be nailed back down should warping happen however the tight fit of a shingle style overlap should prevent you having to caulk up the gaps or plane them flush to precisely fit together.
I'm happy just watching tree house camping. It's more the creator than the content sometimes.
Twisted Tea! Hits just a little different
It's like camping when you can't, I'll always watch
Steve’s Christmas present is making the quality of these vids extra crispy
There's "Bushcrafty" and there's "Stevecrafty"

I love cooking outside on my grill. I cook a LOT of things wrapped in foil, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, hobo hamburgers (burgers with baby carrots, onions and chopped potatoes, butter, salt and pepper), squash, zucchini, fish, etc., etc. But I've never tried cooking asparagus wrapped in foil. Have enjoyed past couple videos! I agree on the back to back stealth campers "wile they are fun" I personally would like to see some traditional campers mixed in. Most of us are not going to take the family camping behind a town sign but there is a lot we can take from product reviews etc in a camp ground.
Same here on the snow part, i live up north in Minnesota and we get A LOT of snow but this year was disappointing for sure.
You're a great man Steve, you'll be an amazing dad when you and beautiful wife plan on having a mini Steve! 😂
Omg he said let's get it onto the tray. Was that a Steve tribute to another wholesome Steve? I sure hope so. Yall are both in my top 5 favorite UA-cam channels ever.

I'm almost tempted to go from Idaho to 🇨🇦 so I can hunker down. Love the videos man, really inspiring me to just get out there and start a UA-cam channel
If you want to see wildlife, while walking through the woods. You should use a walking stick. Wildlife knows what two legged creatures sound like, and usually try to stay away. But a three legged creature, means something is hurt and doesn't pose much of a threat, or they stay around just to see what walks on three legs.
What an interesting comment and, quite possibly, perfectly accurate. Never heard this theory before.👍👌😁
