Steve just camps in a random place, for one night, in a random shelter. Then he has a drink, cooks and eats some food, and sleeps. No real action. Yet I can't stop watching.

How much you want to bet as soon as the GoPro went out, so did he, straight out from under that cheap tarp & into his truck then indoors! He crawled back under just in time to shoot his morning after ending! Didn't you see his face & hear his voice? He didn' sleep there are you kidding! He does not use all the fancy expensive equipment, he does not have amazing bushcraft skills, and the food he cooks is simple.

Hi Steve, I notice this video is a couple years old. I've been watching you for about a year now, and I know you've learned a lot. I just want to mention something I've learned in camping across the country. When you build your fire, find and place two flat-top rocks beside the fire, spaced apart by about 2/3 the width of your pan, with the spaced area in a channel facing the fire. Once you get some coals, scoop some of them between the rocks. Now you can place your pan on the rocks and cook. At the same time you can put more wood on your original fire without disturbing your cooking, which gives you more light and heat. The coals will cook your food without covering your pans with soot, so you'll have easier cleanup. If you can't find rocks, a couple wet semi-rotten logs will work as well. Your meal will be long cooked before they catch fire.

Canadian Tire always seems to have other stuff too! What ever you need - hardware, paint, sporting goods, appliances, housewares, woodstoves, A/C, and of course a complete auto center; with tires. The tarp you used was way better than those blue tarps . The sound of rain hitting it just about put me to sleep . Glad to hear you are feeling better .

No, "if you don't have the five c's, or whatever and water, shelter, fire and food within five minutes you'll be dead in 2 days BS. hell yes man. growing up some of my best memory's were going camping with my uncle and cousins,it was always pretty spontaneous, he would call up on a Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning and see if we wanted to go out. he would roll up in his old van and we would just go. most of the time there was not even a cooler chest involved, a couple packs of hotdogs, some snacks, plans to catch fish and cook them or whatever. we found our own firewood when we got where we were going and had a great time every single time regardless of weather or lack of supplies. water is most important, some kind of food, doesn't matter what it is really, and a lighter....but that's truly all you need.just get out and do it, dont make it so that you never feel like it because it has to be such an ordeal to go.the less I take with me the more connected with the experiance I am.

It's nice to have the kind of stealth camping etc content I'm interested without backhanded shilling and SHTF fear mongering.
To think I've watched 4 of your videos now and not once have you told me that I'm going to die of exposure if I don't buy a specific knife...
