These unit focus videos are great, with such a large array of choices it can be hard to know what is worth using for what purpose in new editions, so having someone just spell it out is always welcome.
Lire note: just because a model is removed from the table does not mean a new stone for the infinity circuit. Medical pick up and gear destruction are a thing. :P keep up the great videos long or short form.
I'm just getting into WH again after like 12 years off. I was always an Eldar player so this channel has been invaluable to get me up and running again! ty
if you want some good movement move hawks 14 inch + advance SoF 6 or matchless agility for auto advance 6 + baharroth 6 inch move after they shoot + fire and fade 14 inch = 40 inchs of movement in one turn
Hawks are great. No one wanted to listen to me 3 months ago but these guys bring in the points consistently. I personally prefer them to warp spiders most of the time due to their consistency.
I’ve been running hawks + baharoth for most of 10th mostly due to not owning warp spiders until recently. I highly recommend people try them with baha - they go from the cheap, useful but disposable unit described in this video to a re-usable skirmisher/scorer unit for 200pts. Very comparable to having 2 units of spiders or spectres - but with baha the hawks do reliable “finisher” damage in both range and melee and tend to last the whole 5 turns. Another big win for me is they don’t have to be within 12” to do their damage usually - unlike spiders that are prone to getting overwatched by flamers which all my opponents seem to have!
Another great indepth vid about a unit. Keep in comming. I still don't have Hawks in my army due to using warp spiders but I do like Hawks more. In Australia we call them Swooping Magpies 😂
Deploy Teleport Homers is 3VP for the center, and 4VP for enemy deployment zone now. So it makes taking it as a fixed secondary almost a certain pick against most match ups for Eldar :)
Really enjoyed the video, thanks a lot! Would have been interesting to hear if adding baharoth would change the way they play significantly Looking forward to the next video
@@akiarzonoko4792 Yup. I was kind of thinking that I had let too much time go by when it got away from me over the summer, But yeah that's a solid request
This was another awesome video, I haven't been playing my Eldar army because they have been so faceroll lately and I'm only casual. Can't wait to try out a couple MSU hawks now thank you :)
I do love some winged warriors falling from the sky, bringing doom to wherever they land. I also appreciate the shorter videos. Is there a way to tell The Magnet Baron that you sent me their way?
So maybe I’m misunderstanding but swooping hawks rule specifically says into strategic reserves. So doesn’t that mean on the redeploy they can’t just come in from deep strike? That they have to follow strategic reserves rules, not deep strike?
They can absolutely come in out of deepstrike after going back into reserves. It has been clarified in the designer's commentary. Units with the deepstrike ability that go back into reserves can choose to return via deepstrike
Never understand running larger squads Vs smaller. You can STILL run them as a whole with some limited downsides, but can split them up to flank or engage a secondary target if you need to. 2x5-man squads will always beat a 10-man....except in real-life combat. Gamer logic.
Begging GW to update these models.
(I like the short video format, btw)

So glad you are finding them useful!

Yeah, great narrative points

Those hawks are beautifully painted and look really cool.

Great video, really looking forward to one about Striking Scorpions. Even more so with the sculpts!

Really enjoying these shorter videos, especially since they explain the current tech in the meta. Incredibly helpful! Thanks :)
Hey, great content. I particularly enjoy these short unit focus videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!

Swooping Magpies is perfect

Great vid and I love that the rest of our index units are starting to finally seeing some play
Thank you!!!

Just wanna say I'm loving the short form content, especially if it means a little more content more often!
Very timely video as ive been having this Warp Spider Vs Hawk vs Shadow Spectre debate the last few days... really can see the value in it all
Another great video. I love swooping Hawks. I may not be the best player, but keep using them and just wondered why no one else was 😆
Enjoying the short form content :)
Been excited for this one, been looking at getting some hawks and have no clue how to use em yet
They are such a great tool
Hey Brent! Could you please do a Video about the secondary objectives in the Pariah Nexus deck?

I do miss the battlefocus hawk move in 9th but it’s good to know they’re still great
For those not subscribed yet (and in the discord(...the 10k apecial video is gonna be very cool. Make it happen folks.
Excellent ! I like the 20 minutes videos : ))
Love the content. Keep em coming
Good stuff as always
Thank you
Useful video, thankyou. 🙂👍
Keep it up!

Aesthetically, always my favorite unit.
One question: Any great value for them in a Crusade game? (Aside from rule of cool.)

We need plastic Swooping Hawks, or really good proxies.
I like the more concise videos!
I need some swooping hawks.
Plastic ones in this edition, via kill team
🙂
Sad that squawks have such an anti synergy with shroud runners!
No elf life is disposable. Lol right

@@MrAcuta73 the larger squad has benefits if you run it with Baharoth
