Honestly, I wish I could have screamed at Samantha that while he was trying to take her out of the coffee shop that she should have screamed and ran and allowed herself to get shot rather than taken to the second location. That man wanted her alive so he could torture her first. Also, there were lots of cars driving by and people that were walking by around that time and so chances are if she try to escape while at the coffee shop she would have had a much better chance of survival, or at the very least would have died more peacefully. Every time I see that footage I just want to shake her and say don't comply don't comply

Well, I was one of those people until in 2005, I was walking to my car about 7pm at night after shopping in a Marshalls. I saw this guy with the most vivid blue eyes and a hoodie sort of easing up on me. I thought surely he is going into the store. He passed me, I spoke to him and when I turned my back, he had hit me over the head and grabbed my purse. From that time on, I KNOW every day I live, something bad can happen, at any time and any place.

No employer should ever let a female employee work alone, especially in a situation like this where nobody would have felt suspicious of someone stopping their car and going up to the kiosk. Israel keyes tried to abduct me from essex junction, VT while here.. I believe he attempted to abduct me after the curriers.. I worked about 1/2 mile from their home and was chased home (I worked evening shift..) I was doing 85 in a 35 mph zone and the car stayed on my heals.. it was the car bill and Lorraine drove that he kidnapped them with..
I was too afraid to pull in my driveway about 8-10 miles from my work because of this car.. I didn’t have a cell phone at the time and couldn’t call for help.. I drove in circles basically and eventually lost the car.. and went home..
I then alerted my boyfriend at the time. We had two big pit bulls.. but lived in a one story house with an attached garage.. we did have our dogs freak out later that night for some unknown reason and to this day my ex and I still believe he tried to abduct me.. I’m so thankful God must have been with me that day. God bless the victims.. it turns my stomach.

He was that topic for a period of time. During that time, no one ever mentioned regarding the infamous photo of Samantha, that it isn't the actual photo. They kind of glossed over the whole, "There was a photo of Samantha with a ransom note left in the park after she went missing" part. He had killed her, and only quite some time later did he decide that he wanted to try and get some money from the situation. So he put makeup on her and staged the lighting, etc. to take a photo that could somewhat plausibly make it seem like she was still alive... 🤢He was one of the most meticulous and coldhearted serial killers ever, I really don't know why he's not just as famous as killers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer.

I don’t understand how they had 7 months and 13 interviews and they never got more information out of him. Do you ever want to jump into the screen and tell that person to stop or save them? Never go with someone who is trying to abduct you. Fight like hell! Do everything possible to draw attention. It’s better to be shot on scene than in a shed. So sad for the victims. Definitely one of my biggest fears is disappearing. Never being found. You’re already alone when you die but that is the ultimate alone.

Dont know much about Israel Keyes ..But he's apparently one of the smartest & most cunning serial killers of our time. People who's job it is to talk about true crime, say "they hope to never see anyone like him again." He doesn't look very scary or intimidating. But I guess when you're preying on the weak and vulnerable, all that changes.

    • @LarsonPetty

It's not intimidation factor, it's because he was nearly impossible to predict or profile. He was so random and playing the long game, that the FBI was useless. If he hadn't gotten greedy and sloppy, he'd still be doing his thing, with local, state, and federal authorities none the wiser.

"Sometime during this period, Keyes renounced his former Christian faith.[18]
On one occasion, Keyes declared his atheism to his parents-both of whom he had previously made tireless and constant efforts to please[17]-after an intense argument. This led his parents to evict their eldest son from their residence, shunning him for apparent blasphemy; they then instructed his younger siblings, who looked up to Keyes, to never have contact with him again.[18] Keyes then developed an inordinate interest in Satanism, with plans of committing a ritualistic murder.[9]
