I think it's quite funny to say that no one in JoJo goes through character arcs, when in part 3 Jotaro goes from being selfish and lonely to actively seeking out companionship and opening himself up to others.

@@murray9807 I don't really consider that a character arc. They're just random scenes and I don't see Araki considering it contributing towards a character arc. Like if he bonded with Kakyoin so much, he would have been a lot more upset when he died.
In anime, being a coward doesn't mean the same thing that it does in real life. If characters ACTUALLY just ran away from danger they wouldn't be in the anime at all. But you can't sit there and tell me that you don't recognize that the way Polnareff or Narancia give voice to their fear is different from taciturn guys like the Jojos, or that it's clearly played for laughs. They're comedy cowards in the "Krillin" model who whimper about how afraid they are but then always nut up and do the thing anyway. Of course we don't think characters like that are actual cowards in the way we would describe somebody in the real world.
Polnareff? The one who faced Dio 1v1? Polnareff? The French guy who was handicapped in a wheelchair facing off the Barbie Mafioso???? Coward??? *wrrrrrryyyyyy*
Fun fact araki didn't kick fugo out because he was overpowered the real reason for that is because of araki's mental state at that time originally he was supposed come back as a traitor and killed by giorno but due it being to dark for his depression at that time he simply left him out of the story

I think ultimately the big divide over Jotaro (who is actually one of my least liked Jo's) is whenever you have an "inscrutable" style character. I forget the voice actor, but when it comes to "intentionally hard to read" guys, its extremely easy to project whatever you want onto them, or at least its easier than with other characters. So some people dont get anything out of him while others do. Its also a challenge to try and give them a voice when the director wants you to maintain that certain tone. Just the nature of the beast I guess.
Star Platinum is extremely fast and his reaction time is perfect which technically made him fly. Silver Chariot is almost just as fast as star platinum, he can also shoot his sword to make it a long range attack. Magician's Red's ability with fire manipulation may seem very simple, but Avdol uses it with a brain and makes it form into different shapes and sizes. He also destroys the oxygen in the air around the area of an opponent, making them suffocate. Hierophant Green doesn't JUST shoot rocks, he has incredible range. He can also control minds by going in the opponent. AND HOW IS POLNAREFF A COWARD, HE DEFEATED A GIANT BALL OF ERASURE THAT KILLED HIS FRIENDS, AND STOOD UP TO A VILLAIN THAT CAN LITERALLY STOP TIME AND SHOOT KNIVES.
@@VERON_606Because one of his main points about part 3 is that the stands aren’t interesting. The commentor is right.
Shaman Xeed look, I get that everyone is allowed to have their own opinion but going to literally every single comment in a comment section of a UA-cam video to tell everyone how much you hate something is dumb and unnecessary
Giorno and his closure is the only thing I don't like Part 5 lol. Everyone else in the crew has more interesting character traits than Giorno does. His best moments were when he was introduced by scamming Koichi, but after that he becomes such a one-dimensional character, even more so than Jonathan. I'll give it to him that he's really smart in utilizing his Stand and has genuinely some of the most fun fights in JoJo, but aside from that Giorno is not very interesting. Just my opinion though

@@yuvalgabay1023 Alright lets get down to the criticisms he made. PART 3 - With Jotaro, Cosmonaut said that besides being cool and edgy, he's got nothing in terms of characteristics. This is wrong in many ways, as Cosmonaut missed how under Jotaro's edgy persona, he really cares about the people around him and will do anything if it means saving them. This is why he began hunting for Dio and let Steely Dan toy with him. - Cosmonaut considers Polnareff as a funny coward. This ignores that Polnareff goes off to pursue his sister's murderer, knowing he might die. Throughout that episode, he completely disregards his life in his pursuit of vengeance. "Character arcs simply do not exist in this series" is so stupid when he brought up Polnareff's character just seconds before. Polnareff's arc shows him go from a loner to a team member, from being selfish to being selfless. - "But in Jojo's, every single character is flat, even the ones I think are decent" Ignores all the complex characters such as Jotaro, Polnareff, Joseph, Hol Horse, Okuyasu, Keicho, Koichi, Yukako, Rohan, Mother fucking Kira, Fungami, Giorno, Bruno, Mista, Abbachio, Narancia, Fugo, Trish, Diavolo, Formaggio, Pesci, Proscuitto, Ghiaccio, Tiziano, Ciocolatte, Secco, Doppio, Jolyne, Ermes, F.F, Emporio, Weather Report, Anasui, Pucci, Rikel and Donatello. - Cosmonaut then lists the main character's powers without going into detail. Star Platinum: The Stand does not just punch fast; it has a quick reaction time, can see barely noticeable details and has super strength. Silver Chariot: This Stand does not only have a sword but can also take off its armour to make it quicker, and the Stand is faster than a bullet. It can also shoot its weapons as a projectile to hit enemies when Polnareff is desperate. Magician's red: It can shoot fire, detect heat signatures, and launch underground attacks. Hierophant Green: Cannot just throw a rock but can also control people from the inside and set up barriers to alert its user when a character has trespassed. - Also, the pure disrespect he's showing to the Oingo Boingo fight, the N'doul fight, and the Elder Darby fight when he refers to only the fights from the Pet shop fight onwards as "Really decent". PART 5 I have read part five, and I can say that you are wrong when you say the cast gets very little; they, in fact, get a lot of development. Also, the central theme of part 5 was not friendship but fate. So now let's move on to Cosmonaut's criticisms, shall we? -"Part 4 is still good with bad translations, so this is not an excuse" Do you need me to explain what is so stupid about this criticism? - For character traits, he listed Giorno as just a calm, cool guy, ignoring all the times he freaked out, such as when fighting Bruno or up against Polpo. Lists Fugo as a "calm, cool guy" Do you need me to explain why this is wrong? Bruno is not just a calm, cool guy; he has freaked out many times, such as when the Boss took Trish from him, which caused him to recklessly endanger his life. Narancia is also not a "funny coward"; he cut off his tongue to defeat the enemy, and Mista was willing to shoot himself as much as possible if it meant Ghiaccio would be stopped. - "If you ask me, Giorno and Bruno should be merged into one character", alright, and destroy one of the best relationships within the series? The whole dynamic between them is that Bruno is the gangsta that Giorno aspires to be. Giorno helps give Bruno the courage to stand up against the Boss. - "Even the fact he is Dio's son goes completely unused" The whole point of Giorno's character is that he is not in any way Dio. Giorno is his own person carving his own destiny, and does not let the fact that he is the child of the evilest character in the series prevent him from being a good person. - "I cannot even name a single character trait for Giorno" He is vengeful, he does not forgive, and his entire character is based on the principle "The good should be protected, and the evil should be purged"; he lies and deceives his enemy, he is also compassionate and loyal to his friends, he does not abandon them. On the contrary, he will do his best to save them. - "Oh shit, I made one of the main characters too strong; oh well, he's out of the story; he flew back to his home planet." Ignores the actual reason Araki wrote Fugo out of the story because of his mental health at the time and how he originally planned to have Fugo betray Bruno. - "How come the villain is revealed so late into the story" We knew that the Boss of Passione would be the story's central villain ever since Giorno proclaimed he would stop him after beating Bruno in their fight. Diavolo is revealed halfway into the story but is left as an enigma because that is the whole point of his character. He is the man working in the shadows who have destroyed much of his past to prevent people from learning about it. Developing him would miss the entire point of the character. - Cosmonaut also says stupid things such as "How many times has Mista died" or "How did Polnareff become a turtle" which is hopefully sarcasm, but judging from his past criticism, it likely isn't. - Cosmonaut also says that the manga is almost impossible to decipher because of the art; as someone who has read the manga, all I can say is that it was straightforward to read and understand; maybe Cosmo should not have used poorly scanned translations as a source. - Cosmonaut also refers to GER as a Deus Ex Machina when it was the expected outcome of the fight between Diavolo and the gang. You can only argue that the Deus Ex Machina in this part is the existence of the Beetle Arrow. Even that is playing on the idea of a pre-established object but more powerful. PART 6 Cosmonaut does not even have anything beyond vague arguments, so I am not even going to both rebutting him. The reason that the characters are together is to fight Pucci, which is their shared goal. Each brings something different to the cast, and saying they get one, maybe 2 fights, is wrong. F.F- Ignoring her battle with Jolyne, she fought against Marilyn Manson, Sports Max, Dragon's Dream and her fight with Pucci. Ermes- Fought against Thunder Mcqueen, Foo Fighters, Sports Max, Rikel, Underworld, and Pucci. Anasui- Fought against Dragon's Dream, Yo-Yo Ma, the Green Baby, Bohemian Rhapsody and Pucci twice. Weather Report- Fought against Lang Rangler, Bohemian Rhapsody, Pucci. Emporio- Fought against Pucci and assisted Jolyne in taking down Jail House Rock. Also, it is a prison break story; you should expect them to be on constant alert during the second half of the series.# Overall, Cosmonaut got most of his criticisms flat out wrong and refuses to concede that maybe it was not the story that was bad but they way he read it.
I'm sorry I nearly pissed myself laughing when you described Fugo as a "calm, cool guy". The scene he's literally introduced in involves him trying to teach a kid math, and trying to stab him in a fit of rage when the kid gets a question wrong
JoJo isn't even that long. Some parts may exceed 40 episodes/100 chapters, but how hard it is to read/watch? Edit: Apparently I was wrong and JoJo is longer than One Piece. Sorry to all One Piece fans out there
Jotaro isn't just a "cool guy" it's a facade he keeps up but in reality he's a hard-worker who believes in what's just and loves his mom even more than Kakyoin does. On characters dying "unceremoniously" I think Araki shakes up the status quo of Shonen by having you understand anybody can die (just like in real life). I think it's a nice change of pace because it messes with expectations. Also typically their deaths aren't unceremonious, maybe abrupt, but they're usually done quite well. I think one of the main appeals for Jojo is the structure being made in a way where it's not formulaic. The good guys don't always win, the way stands work means we can have more interesting matchups between characters (it's not always "one has a higher power level than the other"), etc. There's a structure there, there is depth it's just.... bizarre. If you're not into the series that's fine but the points you've stated don't really hold up to scrutiny and, like everybody else has said, shows you probably didn't pay attention. PS Yes, outside Part 7, Part 4 is best part
"speedwagon is a coward" really just goes to show how much he payed attention to the series. Speedwagon had zero powers but still went to fight DIO. "fugo is calm and cool" Fugo's stand literally is a manifestation of his personality in how he is an unstable man who gets incredibly violent super quickly. If you're gonna dislike a series, thats fine but at least make some better points. And, maybe stop contradicting yourself in how you say in your Star Wars video that "if you like this then you must be brainwashed" and then go and say "if you like it that's fine." most of your criticisms are like this as well and i feel you are unworthy of your subscribers.
Not exactly related but for me part 4 has some of the best moments (every scene with Kira in it) and some of the absolute worst moments (nearly everything else) in the series.
That “fugo was written out because he was to strong” statement is not true the author came out and said that fugo was original gonna be a spy for diavolo and the gang would end up killing him in the end but the author was going through some depression and it was to much for him at that time so he just decided to write him out instead.
A big problem in the fandom is that due to the "araki forgot" meme a lot of people take fan theories as fact, fugo got written out because he was too strong, josuke was supposed to go back in time, jolyne was originally a lesbian, all of these are fan theories that people parrot as true.
I’d like to thank Marcus for teaching me a valuable lesson, which is to not get you’re entertainment recommendations from review/critics UA-camrs. After finally going through Jojo’s and seeing how off the mark these takes we’re, it made me go back and watch more shows, movies, and music that I’ve skipped over because the expert UA-cam critics slammed them. That led to me finding some awesome music, shows, books, and films that just got really shit and biased takes from UA-camrs. I’m not saying that critic UA-camrs are bad or always wrong, just that art is super subjective and if you just listen to what they say is “good” and avoid what they think is “trash” then you are probably missing out on a lot of awesome stuff that they had a bad take on.
@@napo7866 The problem is he's just straight up wrong about details. He calls a bunch of characters cowards who are anything but, he didn't get that one of Jotaro's primary traits in Part 3 is that he's constantly fronting (it gets called out a few times, notably by his mom and Dio), and he suggests Part 5 is full of fake out deaths while showing a page from the White Album fight that is immediately followed up two panels later by Giorno (who is in the fight from the start) using his power to intercede on Mista's behalf in a way that was already established in a prior fight, while espousing the primary theme of determination in the face of impossible odds. And that panel is fucking great, it's Giorno and Guido adopting the visual language of the Pieta. Part 5 is very visually clear as to what is going on even when the translation is bad. Like you can say Part 5 doesn't exactly have character arcs because no one technically changes, but it has a bunch of characters discovering for themselves the depths of their own resolve - like Narancia finding the courage to go against Diavolo, the main antagonist, despite their overwhelming power because he sees himself in Trish. Fugo also wasn't written out of the story because he was too powerful. Him focusing on his own self interest is one of his character traits, and he was originally meant to betray the rest of the group but was written instead to just wimp out of opposing Diavolo because Araki was too depressed to write a friend group going to shit. He's not even overpowered compared to the Part 5 group, Giorno straight up counters his ability earlier in the story. also like fucking christ Fugo is anything but calm and cool

yeah, I know I'm replying to a 11-month-old comment but yeah so: I honestly would have respected his opinion if he actually would have paid attention to the anime/manga and brought up good points instead of just bullshit.
Part 7 is actually insanely good coming from someone who didnt like any other parts (besides 4 and 8) and a lot of people just skip every other part and just go to 7 because of how good it is. If you read it you would not believe it was from the same series because I was actually baffled (It’s kinda ironic since Araki originally posted Steel Ball Run as its own manga but later decided to make it part 7 of JoJo)
Steel Ball Run was always written to be JoJo part 7, the reason why it's so different from other parts is because he was done with the previous universe so he created a new universe with its own rules that allows him to do other things with the story. The reason why during it's first few chapters it is just named Steel Ball Run is just for marketing purposes because Shueshia's marketing team thought Stone Ocean's ending would leave a conclusive note and then suddenly having another part would scare off readers so they just called it Steel Ball Run, when Steel Ball Run was already at it's middle and people are already on-board with it they finally named it JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run.
I know this is a year old but I respectfully disagree. I started reading part 7 a year ago and was baffled by the praise it got for being such a mediocre piece of manga. I only got to 34 chapters before I had to put it down. The starting was kinda decent with gyro as a unique character and johnny learning to walk. The beginning race was kinda cool and a breath of fresh air. But I'm sorry to say that the rest of the 34 chapters were complete dogshit for something people praise so highly. I mean they even put it in their top 5 mangas which is actually asinine and braindead. The boom boom family is among the worst fights in the series. The kid with hooks in his mouth was a waste of space. We're not shown the perspective of interesting characters like sandman and other racers and how they're going through the race. Gyros spin is just a magical power with no solid explanation. I mean I wouldn't have a problem with it if it was just magic but araki actually tries to explain it as an actual solid concept but shoots himself in the foot because of how non-senscical it is. The new Dio is ok I guess. His dinosaur powers are frankly boring and his fight drags on way too long and is not really interesting. Granted I've only read the first 34 chapters but these 34 chapters constitute 33 percent of the whole manga. So if I'm bored out of my mind by this point and nothing's really gripping me I'm just gonna put it down. My final gripe is that I'm disappointed by how hyped this manga is. Some people call it peak seinen. But so far it's just like the rest of the parts with very little added creativity. I hope this didn't come out too hateful. Jojo isn't really my thing. But I still feel Jojo is far too hyped by people. Especially considering mangas like hunter x hunter, berserk and death note are out there. These mangas contain masterful development, way better and thoughtful fights, Not very many tropes, grounds the characters in a way you can relate with them as well as great character and plot writing. Jojo comparatively I feel is only good in the beginning when araki actually has something planned out. I feel like he just wings the rest of his parts with very little thinking. And finally I will provide an author statement by araki himself in which he states that Characters are the only thing needed to create a good story and that plot, writing, consistency all take a backseat and are not nearly as important. I'm sorry but if he actually believes that he's retarted. No wonder his stories feel so lacking in depth and development. He genuinely just feels like writing what he likes in the moment. Jojo is also filled with a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies. More than any other shonen I've seen tbh. Anyway that's the end of my rant. People can like what they like. These were just my two cents.
@@xord6286 Kindly provide arguments to defend your series instead of coming up with such a bland response. I explained clearly where Jojo excels and falls flat. I did this as fair as I could. Part 7 is hyped as peak seinen but the first 33 chapters aren't good enough to hold it up to such a high standard. Granted I haven't read the rest of the part but if 33% of steel ball run falls so flat I don't see how it can even be in the convo of peak seinen.
It’s probably a joke, but Fugo leaving was meant for him to come back as an enemy. Araki just couldn’t go through with it cause of an actual betrayal apparently. Still love part 4 and 7
Actually you're totally right, Araki was going through a rough patch in his life and felt that a close friend betraying their friends would be too much, so Fugo was written out of the story.
Jeancapucine_82 same with calling Narancia the “funny coward character.” In fact I think a lot of his takes on part 5 were completely off, making me wonder if he really was reading a good translation, but whatever. Opinions and all that.
4:30 character arcs do exist in jojo. Johnny in part 7 has some of the best character development of all time in my opinion. Jotaro also has a very good development because his gets to extend over 3 (4 if you count part 5) parts
12:40 that is actually a misconception. Araki clarified in an interview that the reason Fugo was written out of the story was because Araki was originally going to make Fugo a spy. Most assume he would have been in Chiacolatta's place. He changed his mind and instead just had Fugo leave the group
@@ghostflask they are just saying that araki isnt intentionally getting fugo out of the story for the plot, as a matter of fact the plot was there and that araki feels too emotional to execute it.

I know this video is old but holy shit I gotta go over all the problems with this as someone who read the manga from part 4 onwards after finishing part 3 anime: "Polnareff" and "Funny Coward" don't belong in the same sentence. This is the same guy that stayed with the group fighting stand user after stand user in life or death situations to avenge his sister, then went to Italy on his own to investigate the arrows. Criticizing Jojo characters for having no character development and then turning around and claiming fucking Goku develops more as a character is insane to me. You have to have just speedread the manga. Complaining about sudden deaths in Jojo is wild. It's supposed to show the realism, most of the time in anime/manga when character dies, they get their 90 second monologue before they keel over without fail. Jojo is unique in that deaths can happen at any point and they're sudden, at least after William, it's meant to have more impact that way. So many deaths in Jojo hit hard because they're so sudden, Narancia comes to mind. No fanfare nothing, he just dies in an instant and it's fucked up and sad. Also what do you even mean by fake out deaths? There's I think a grand total of 3 in the whole series. Next is complaining that the main characters have weak stands. It's at this point I realize you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what Jojo is about. It's not about screaming matches of who can power up their stand the furthest. Stand battles are cerebral mind games where villains get stronger stands so the protagonists can outsmart them in clever and unique ways. Again, Narancia and Mista are anything but cowards what are you on? Mista has a phobia of the number 4, yes, but he's brave in all other scenarios. Also calling Fugo "calm" is just lmao. Your whole rant about Giorno is one part I can understand. I once had a shit opinion like that when I first read part 5. Then I read it again and realized the whole point of Giorno's character. He's a static character like Goku, he doesn't change but rather what makes him interesting is the fact that he influences and changes people around him for the better. And he does this because he inherited DIO's charisma without any of his evil. The fact that him being DIO's son isn't relevant is also important. It shows that Giorno is more than his ancestry, he's his own person that wants to do good for the sake of it. His resolve to change the world acts as an anchor for the rest of the squad to hold on to, Buccierati was falling into a dark path before he met Giorno and he could not have lead everyone to victory against Diavolo. Calling GER a deus ex machina is also frustrating because dude the whole second half of part 5's story is about the arrows and how if Polnareff can deliver them, Diavolo's unbeatable stand can be beaten. It's already established with Polnareff explaining Chariot Requiem that the arrows can power up stands. Again, I chalk this up to you speedreading. Copping out and pretending "oh if you disagree it's 'cause you watched the anime" is disingenuous, I read the manga twice and I completely disagree with that idea. And then you admit you speedread, there it is.
@@gamingtime468 that’s not the best argument, for example, Naruto is a good show, but I really didn’t pay attention because it didn’t click with me, and I was tired of the filler. Something can be objectively good, but you don’t like it.
Yeah, then let us ignore *everything else* that he said about this show, all of which were true statements. Aren't you the one that didn't pay attention? As for the Mista-coward thing, sure. Cosmonaut missed there. Instead, Mista is just funny without coward. JoJo is garbage.
One reason why trying to characters into genral boxes is a bad idea is because it leads less nuanced depictions of said characters in general, it would be like judging Sanji just for his gag, one example using the 3 character "types" that were described Narchia would be more a murder happy guy, his first kill involved blowing up a car and lighting a massive fire, then killing the other 2 in public again, and killing Risotto because 3 scaples ended up near him so he killed the one thing he sensed breathing on his map.
The fact that girono is dios son does come up in the story though, we see him being calm and righteous, (like Jonathan) and sometimes he loses his shit, and we get 7 pages of one of his beat downs- this side of him that we see, is the dio in him coming through. Part 5 is one of the only part where I can say the anime is better, especially when explaining some later abilities that is just plain impossible to explain in comic format.
diavolo doesn't have the same ability in the anime, in the manga he has the meta ability to remove panels but in the anime he can just skip time so ofc is easier to explain because its not the same
@@Bo-ye7nl not true…dio was much smarter than him, also kakyoin went straight for dio. Dio had much more time hone and practice his abilities. Dio also already knew kakyoins ability. Dio was also faster than him.

The current official online Part 5 cleaned up a lot of the artwork so it’s much more readable and easy to understand what’s going on. I only read online with the official VIZ app but I’m sure that they also did the same for the physical copies of the manga. Sounds like the art complaint is really just an issue with scans and not an issue with the official releases.
@Otneimica to be fair i interpreted his statement as him not wanting to read steel ball run because so many people keep insisting it. if people kept pestering you to read this, watch that, you wouldn’t want to read it either. it’s not petty. and the thought probably lingers in his head because of how much people pester him about it and emphasize how steel ball run is godly. it’s just him not wanting to read part seven. i also don’t blame him because part seven can be really icky at times. he clearly has burn out with jjba so can you blame him for taking a break?
I mean he was at some point essentially forcing himself through it. I know from personal experience that you'll never enjoy a series that way. I tried to do that for final fanyasy trying to understand why people loved so much but I just couldn't. It starts to feel like a chore and then you'll just end up hating it instead of not getting it.
Oh yeah. I’m a big Jojo fan and I agree with most of his criticisms. I definitely feel like you’re either gonna love or hate Jojo and that’s ok either way. There’s no point in trying to force yourself to like it
@@qasconze he did have some good points but the whole section about characters was god awful and labeling Fugo as "chill", Naracia as a funny "coward" and saying Giorno is one note made absolutely no fucking sense (I don't even like part 5). I can respect his opinion but it's fucking stupid.
The way you engage with JoJo is your own, that much is clear and understandable. To that end, I think you'd like the old Studio A.P.P.P. OVA version of Part 3. It chops the length down to like a fourth of the runtime and likely only keeps the fights you remember most enjoying, while pacing the story at a rate much more akin to Parts 1 and 2. I also think you'd like reading the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan one-shots, as they not only star your favorite character in the series, but put him in all sorts of refreshing situations that are concise, enjoyable in a vacuum as their own stories, and a nice break from JoJo's formulaic enemy stand shtick. But also I do hope you read Steel Ball Run someday too. You wanna talk character arcs and pacing your story well, SBR is 2nd only to Berserk on MAL for a reason.
JoJo's is like Venturiantale. It has the most batshit crazy characters, lore, and abilities you can possibly think of, and its pretty black and white how you feel about it: You either love it or you hate it. And even with these groups, its quite black and white: If you love it, you either take it deathly seriously or you don't take it seriously at all, and if you hate it, it's either because you think it's too dumb and random, or because of the controversy.

@@yuvalgabay1023 Alright lets get down to the criticisms he made.
PART 3
- With Jotaro, Cosmonaut said that besides being cool and edgy, he's got nothing in terms of characteristics.
PART 5
I have read part five, and I can say that you are wrong when you say the cast gets very little; they, in fact, get a lot of development.
PART 6
Cosmonaut does not even have anything beyond vague arguments, so I am not even going to both rebutting him.

That “fugo was written out because he was to strong” statement is not true the author came out and said that fugo was original gonna be a spy for diavolo and the gang would end up killing him in the end but the author was going through some depression and it was to much for him at that time so he just decided to write him out instead.
also it just kinda makes sense for fugo to, yknow, leave
Yeah everyone thinks that he was to strong so he had to be written out

I’m not saying that critic UA-camrs are bad or always wrong, just that art is super subjective and if you just listen to what they say is “good” and avoid what they think is “trash” then you are probably missing out on a lot of awesome stuff that they had a bad take on.

Him focusing on his own self interest is one of his character traits, and he was originally meant to betray the rest of the group but was written instead to just wimp out of opposing Diavolo because Araki was too depressed to write a friend group going to shit. yeah, I know I'm replying to a 11-month-old comment but yeah so:
I honestly would have respected his opinion if he actually would have paid attention to the anime/manga and brought up good points instead of just bullshit.
Part 7 is actually insanely good coming from someone who didnt like any other parts (besides 4 and 8) and a lot of people just skip every other part and just go to 7 because of how good it is. If you read it you would not believe it was from the same series because I was actually baffled (It’s kinda ironic since Araki originally posted Steel Ball Run as its own manga but later decided to make it part 7 of JoJo)
also Part 7 is when JoJo started being Seinen not Shonen
@@hailacrunch4937wow that's a lot of words to say that you're wrong and Death Note is ass after L dies

Part 1
I honestly like part 3 the best since it really reminds me of old fashion westerns.
I know this video is old but holy shit I gotta go over all the problems with this as someone who read the manga from part 4 onwards after finishing part 3 anime:
"Polnareff" and "Funny Coward" don't belong in the same sentence.

"Since quitting Jojo's." It definitely sounds like a drug that you quit for your own sanity.
