@@pinkkkkkkkkk oh wait wrong comment
Considering I remembered twists and turns in The Clone Wars half a decade since I watched it and I remember close to nothing from Rebels even though I watched it much, much later than I watched the Clone Wars is a pretty big indicator of quality.
Did you also forget The Mandalorian? Because if Rebels is bad, then The Mandalorian is 20 times worse.
This video is too extreme, it takes everything out of context. If we take what he's saying, then we gotta take it for all the series.
I stand by my point that especially the first season of rebels is extremely forgettable, while at least personally I really enjoyed the first Season of the Mandalorian. I do really enjoy the later seasons of Rebels. Its one of those unfortunate series that get a lot better as they age but that makes it hard for one to recommend it to friends

23:44 He does not change into Alec Guiness's pose. He's actually adopting Qui Gon's battle stance. It's a gambit to lure Maul, who is a character entirely driven by what happened on the day he lost to Obi Wan and who's most salient flaw is his pride, to attempt the same moves that worked on his master. So when he goes for the hilt bash to the face, Obi Wan is ready for it and promptly kills him.
He switches three times. First, the young obi wan pose, then the old obi wan defensive pose, then he goes to qui gon’s

Queen of the Mandalorians...
Thats not how the Mandalorians work...
I wanted to burn the whole show after that part lol at least just call her Mandalore
Mimhere Yes but hey it's a Disney. Fuck us Mando fans.
They follow like clans, following the strongest and sometimes the smartest Mandolorian amongst them. But following by royalty just makes them like any other humanoid race.
Evan Light I also hate that they made seem like they were just an Aryan-looking race in TCW and I know they kinda fixed it in Rebels. The first Mandalorians were the Taung species who followed the strongest wisest among them but as time passed they accepted other who craved battle and the Mandalorians became a cultural identity. Anyone, be it Twi’lek, Sullustan or whatever the fuck Unkar Plutt is, with a penchant for combat and caring for family and friends can be Mando. That's what I love about them.
So far Disney hasn't fucked them up completely and I hope to Kad Ha’rangir they do The Mandalorian show justice.
Unfortunately all the information we had on the Mandolorians (Outside the films, and CW) is no longer cannon so.... The writers have more creative freedom to do whatever they want.

I think what they could’ve done to IMPROVE the Grand Inquisitor would be to have the Grand Inquisitor defeat Ezra and Kanan in every encounter, with each following encounter slowly going more in the Jedis’ favour due to them learning, but everytime before the Grand Inquisitor can actually finish them off, he’d get attacked by a Rebel squadron and be forced to retreat

Rewatching this in 2023 3 episodes into Ahsoka, and hearing “she couldn’t be more Mary Sue unless she was force sensitive” - WELP.
Jesus. Is ahsoka even any good?
@@devildelirious8662 we’re only 3 episodes in, mind, but it’s barely scratched the plot. I have a feeling it’s going to be like Obi-Wan where it probably would have made a better movie. The pacing is slow, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the plot, and the character motivations aren’t really there. Like, why does Ahsoka want to find/stop Thrawn? (Besides the obvious, he’s the big bad, but what’s her personal stake in this, why does this motivate her?) Why does Sabine want to be a Jedi? Is it to feel closer to Ezra? If so, they haven’t said that yet.
It’s an odd show, and as Marcus correctly points out in his commentary, Sabine has enough going on in Rebels, she didn’t need to add Jedi Padawan to the list. (And that’s not even getting into what the show is implying about who can become a Jedi……)

About Obi Wan's pose in the Maul fight, I'm pretty sure his changed pose isn't supposed to mimick Sir Alec Guiness' pose, but rather bait Maul into an agressive start because Qui Gon started his fight against Maul that way. So Maul tried the very trick he killed Qui Gon with on Obi Wan, but of course Obi Wan was prepared. This makes it even better IMO
Nothing can make this crap better in any way. Darth Maul, one of the greatest villains of star wars and one of the most dangerous men in the galaxy, gets his ass whopped in one second by a man he knew and hated for his entire life. Watch TCW, Maul and Kenobi are equally capable, and suddenly Obi wins the fight with no effort for absolutely no reason and with no explanation. Is terrible. Maul was just wasted in one random episode of a dumb kiddo show without even having a proper end fight.
I dunno, you'd think it'd be a fairly obvious trap to Maul. The fact that he was not only caught off-guard by it, but killed instantly, was super weak.

I completely agree with you on the first two season. As the last two came, I did come to appreciate it. I did like how Ezra struggled and finally made his decision to choose light in the last season. Kanan and his death was big hit and was a real sacrifice. He showed what a true Jedi would be in those times. Most of the crew I could do without and be happy if they weren’t there but then grew to care for them. Mauls death was so beautiful as he came to peace with his fate. To be fair Qui Gon died in the final battle of the film. You can't exactly kill of the main character early in the show
He meant you can't have the main character get murdered to build stakes and make the antagonist feel stronger in the middle of the show.
I sortive understand why Kanan got over his pre-conceptions of the clones a little quicker than expected. The problem is that he's mentoring Ezra. But, he's actually not teaching him just how to be a Jedi... also how to be a just man. Ezra was being mentored as a teenager. He can't possibly learn the ways of the Jedi the same way Kanan did since Ezra has already developed emotions and easily develops connections with others. If Kanan keeps his negative emotions on the clones, its possible that Ezra can also learn to hate. Kanan needed to overcome this in order to be a positive example to Ezra.
See this actually does make sense I just owe he they would show stuff like this that actually has to do with why the characters make decisions. Otherwise it just feels random and out of place

Yeah, the models the overall look of the show, it pales in comparison to Clone Wars.
the animation is also REALLY bizarre. It's like the opposite problem that a show like Nicks TMNT has, where that shows animation is really snappy and jerky like it's stop motion or something, this shows animation is way too smooth. Like it takes 500 million frames of animation for a character to say a single word or something.

- Helped Lando on some lame adventure I can't remember

- Spoke to the f***ing Emperor
Like who is this kid and why does he seem to be the center of the universe? Between him and Rey, why do the Skywalkers even fucking matter anymore?
Don't forget Ahsoka, she's just as bad, just better written. The only thing that seems to make Luke the last hope for the Jedi and the rebellion is because Ahsoka was fucking off on Malachor while Ezra was fucking off with Thrawn and space whales during the OT. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ahsoka should've had her head chopped off by Vader, but because she's Dave Filoni's OC he had to resort to literal time travel in order to save her, now she just wanders around getting shoved into nearly every Star Wars show since. And Ezra should've been gunned down by Stormtroopers in the first episode

I would have liked things to have been a bit more balanced. The easiest way to achieve this is just to make the rebel groups larger and more powerful, so at least it would appear more realistic when they're able to decimate entire fleets. Many of the action sequences involved the rebels shooting scores and scores of stormtroopers all while not suffering any losses themselves. It's a somewhat minor tweak that involves better fight choreography and simply better details. The ending was somewhat underwhelming - I would have loved to see a full-scale invasion of Lothal rather than summoning some space whales.
Kanan could easily score some major points if only he told Her how much he hates sand
The show would have scored major points if they all died in the same explosion that Kanan did. I would watch that scene over and over again with some much glee.
Anakin may not be a jedi master, but he is a master in flirting.
I agree, I would love the show if Darth Vader and Maul massacred their ravaged corpses for wasting my time- I could not put the story down because I expected some redemption toward the end of the story; but they were all very disappointing. Them all dying at the hand of awesome Vader would be very convenient for the Empire, coming to power lore.

I nearly died when you called Ezra Space Aladdin. Lol
I tried watching this 2 years ago. It didnt work, but I did tell my friends that it was just space Aladdin for episode one. They got so defensive, but it is so true.
I wish his character was a bit cooler but he grows from annoying teen to slightly less annoying teen. Plus fuck y’all racists what’s wrong with a space Aladdin every other shitty Jedi is white or a alien except mace the one colored Jedi. Lmao Lucas is so racist low key making aliens based around stereotypes and accents of real humans. This show isn’t bad not as amazing as clone wars but enjoyable
シTykon._.Drawsシ he’s not wrong though
@@shaun12594 It's not bad that he's space Alladin except that it's kinda lazy and racist for Disney to recycle a POC character concept so directly. I knew he was space Alladin from the moment I saw him. I'll probably keep watching this show, but I'm disheartened that the annoying teen doesn't manage to become just slightly annoying... Seems strange for a Jedi to take so long to at least become emotionally calm and consistent.
Dave Filoni said that Ezra was based on Ralph Macchio.

Yeah, they even brought it back in the Disney+ season when Dauth Maul tears off a peice of a Star ship's interior, uses it to block a bunch of lasers and FUCKING THROWS IT AT A FEW STORM TROOPERS TO CUT THEIR HEAD'S OFF! ACtually Starwars the clone wars was not at the end at the best ...
THere was more action and bum bumm ...
Star wars the clone wars was at its best in the middle, when we saw our characters grow after knwoing them already, when it showed politics and at how the people suffer in the conflicted...
The hole mandalorine thing was ok to good, but got boring pretty fast ...
And the hole darth maul arc a little to much, should have endet with darth sidious killing him, if not before ...
When it showed new aspects of the world like the clone academy and the outposts of the republic...
By the way am the only one that wished for a ashoka tano - Anakin lovestory ... Padma and Anakin just doesnt work for me ...
THe problem of Rebels for me is just that is boring and the animation looks kind of sterile...
Also why watch something you dont like, because it says Star wars on ? Bah ...
And i agree the characters have no character ...
I must say that i like the idea of new more star wars the clone wars, but i must say that the series got also a little boring at the end.
THough i liked the 66 chip arc ... But the problem is we already know what will happen and the writers just didnt have anything new ...
MAybe after this long break they have a fresh breath air, since it is annouced to start again this year or next ...
One problem i noticed is that some characters shouldnt reapper or just die since they are not giving anything new ...
I had enought General grivous gets captured or cornered but escapes ...
The IG-100 kicks major ass. You can use it in space, on vertical surfaces. It's one of the most iconic Clone Wars vehicles, right next to the troop transports, the Star Destroyers and the AT-RT's.

Star Wars Rebels is probably my all-time favorite amongst the Star Wars franchise. Amazing storyline with amazing characters and development. It never got boring. I wished they had used a better animation style, but that's not a legit complaint to hate the series.
I’m curious how old were u when u watched it. I came out when I was like 16 and never got into it because the art style was a turn off, it was way to kiddy, and the characters were just not good and very stereotypical.

@@Rift_HawkmanI saw it fairly recently for the first time at 19. I saw a few episodes as a kid, but I remembered none of them. I'm not much of a fan of this show. I don't particularly appreciate how far it strays from the original and prequel trilogy with the inclusion of things like lightsaber helicopters, inquisitors, and space whales that can jump through hyperspace. It doesn't feel like Star Wars and takes me out of the show. I don't mind the art style, but I do agree with you and think this show could be much better if it wasn't so kiddy. I also don't like how Ezra is pretty much just a copy of Luke.

I started my rewatch back in late April, and I'll admit I loved Seasons 2, 3 and 4 a lot, but most episodes from Seasons 1 and felt like they left a lot to be desired. The Empire also didn't feel like much of of an threat, just Metal Gear Solid guards. Thrawn, Vader, Tarkin, Kallus and Saxon were the rare exceptions but the rest of the army felt like chumps without a grip on the Empire until Thrawn came along. Pretty good show as a whole but it had A LOT of issues.
@@thelegendaryhusquin9906 hahaha the empire always kinda sucks tho. When is it ever competent 😂 but yes absolutely agreed! Season 1 is a bit of a slow burn for me.
@@FlorasMori Honestly I loved the entire series I can see why people might not be as into the first season. As it doesn't have to many of the bigger pieces that are well known like Rex, Maul, Thrawn, Ahsoka. But that was because they had to focus on the original cast of characters and flesh them out first. I still really love the final arc of season 1 with Vader hunting the Jedi. As well as the final fight between Kanan and the Grand Inquisitor.
But yea people complaining about the Empire sucking in Rebels clearly never realized that the Empire always sucked. Like the Rebels weren't anymore powerful in the original trilogy yet they were able to defeat the Empire blow up 2 Death Stars. And be completely overwhelmed by small teddy bears.
@@FlorasMori Thats nonsence. Go and rewatch Star Wars 4, the movie begins with stormtroopers capturing a rebel ship. In Empire strikes back, the rebels suffer a brutal defeat by snowtroopers and walkers.
