Picked up a Kimber Micro 9 with a Hogue grip one day while in a gun store. My hand wouldn’t let me let it go. Perfect fit! Now I own 2 Kimber Micros and the Sig P938. Both are excellent pew pews 😎😎
I have both. Carried the Sig P938 for a couple of years and enjoyed (also bought one for my Daughter which she still carries). Bought the Kimber Micro 9 CDP LG. The CDP has Kimber’s carry-melt treatment, no sharp corners, rounded edges. It is great. The Crimson Trace is outstanding (why I bought, as I have several on 1911’s). You need the left hand model. I have easily over 1000 rnds in both pistols as does my daughter (she takes many advanced shooting classes). Both of us have Crimson Trace lasers on our P938’s, but it is an attachment to the trigger guard and requires a special holster, the Kimber fits any holster. She carries with Hornady CD, I carry Lehigh Defense, both of us use PMC Bronze at the range. Both pistols are outstanding without any issues, but the Kimber is so sleek, refined and elegant; it carries like butter.
I was very impressed with my first exposure to the Kimber - and for sure need the left handed version of the Trace….although rest of my family is right handed….so I’m the problem. (: Thanks so much for watching!!
I just polished the feed ramp, did a trigger job on my Sig 938 Legion. I was blown away at what a difference some polish on the hammer and sear made on the trigger. The break is better than any other handgun I have.

You hit on the right points, but needed to discuss/show the firing of both mini 9's. I too am a SIG fan & own both the 938 and the Kimber Micro 9. That less weight in the Kimber is surely the reason. So wish there were more firing videos of these mini 9's.
I clicked this video to find out the recoil compared between the two. my kimber micro 9 feels like I'm shooting a 357 out of a scandium frame the CSX is almost the same size but the recoil is much less harsh I don't remember my P938 being as snappy as my micro 9
I received the Kimber micro9 for a Christmas present, I replaced the original grips with G10 grips, and replaced the 3 dot white sites with XS sights. It works great never had any issues and I find myself carrying it more often than I thought.
A couple years back I wanted to go to a smaller carry gun and I looked at all of them. I have small hands and just about all of the poly guns were just too bulky on the grips, double stacks were like grabbing a 2x4. I ended up with the Kimber Stainless Micro 9 and just picking it up the feel was great and solid weight. Always been a fan of the 1911 platform which in my case I was comfortable with. I carry every day and still have not found another pistol I would carry in place of my Micro 9.
I’m right handed so one or two hand shooting isn’t a problem with the laser grips. I can see a left handed shooter could have trouble. I don’t know if they make those grips for left handed shooters. I also have the 1911 LW Kimber and it has some sharp corners too. It seems all automatic pistols have that front sight that I have to be careful not to snag when pulling the pistol. The one thing I like about the revolvers is fast on the draw. Good review. Thanks.
I have the Kimber micro 9 and it constantly fails to feed. I sent it back and they worked on it and it still jams all the time. I've been told to only use specific rounds and not full the magazines all the way and make sure it's lubed really good.. Its a pretty gun so it sits on my dresser I can not trust it for self defense
I have a "micro" Kimber .45 that had FTF. Changed out slide springs with Wolff. Problem fixed but it was additional cost for an expensive unit. Try new springs before giving up.
I hear the mags are interchangeable, I'd love to see if any other items are like the silly sig 2 pc guide rod which 1 rod already spun loose and shot out the front and into the abyss of shells where I could no longer find it!.... Yah, that pissed me off!! Why in the F would they make a threaded guide rod?
I am a fan of both guns. Haven’t shot the kimber, but I own the sig. great little pistol, still pretty stoked I picked one up on sale for 400 bones years ago.
I have 2 938 Sig’s. The first one I got was a new Ambi model. It had a FTF on the last round most of the time and spit it out un fired. I ran several snap caps through it and noticed the last round had poor/light engagement with the dimple on the bottom of the slide! I don’t think the Kimber has the dimple. I sent it back to Sig and they polished the feed ramp and replaced the springs in the Mags. Problem solved. I checked the marks on the snap caps again and every round had good contact with the dimple! 12:46 The dimple I think helps feed the rounds in a pre engagement by pushing the next one forward about half way out of the mag. Also you’ll notice when you remove the mag the last round falls out because of this feature. I don’t know of any other pistol with the dimple. It’s easy to see just remove the slide turn it upside down and look. Both 938’s shoot very well with amazing accuracy. If you have any feeding issues with the Sig or Kimber replace the mag springs first before doing anything else. I’ve heard Kimber’s have similar feed issues. Keep the faith!
I looked at a Kimber in a store and immediately preceeded to pinch the heel of my hand when I put the magazine back (it hurt a lot). Also, the one I looked at didn't have an ambidextrous safety. I took it as a sign to stick with Sig. I am a little bit of a Sig fan. 😊
I HAD the Kimber Micro .380 - what a disaster! Failures to feed/eject. Gunsmith couldn’t fix it; sent it to Kimber; they polished the ramp, worked for about a minute and then 6 FTEs in 10 rounds. Got rid of it that day. According to the gun shop guys, Kimber QC has fallen off. I own neither but I’d go sig.
I had the same issue with an older Kimber small 1911 from their custom shop. Looks almost identical to the micro. 3 times back to Kimber with no reliable fix. I have a 938 as well. Been a great carry with zero fte issues.
I own both, never had a Kimber until I got the micro 9. Couldn't pick a winner though, quick not, I shoot right handed and in that orientation the laser doesn't get blocked with both hands on the pistol. I bought the identical kimber and the cheapest version of the 938 and both were in the 600-650$ range. Here in Washington State the equinox is actually closer to 900$, much more expensive
I have the Sig P938. First purchased it’s predecessor, the P238. Both firearms are so similar, except for the caliber. I have always thought of these as pocket pistols. The Kimber Micro 9 I have no experience. Have owned Kimber 45 acp’s, so I know they are quality firearms. In my opinion, the Micro 9 seems to be more closely related in size to the Glock 43x. Maybe a little big as a pocket pistol. I’m happy with the Sig.
Iv had both, IV had the SIG p938 nightmare version that I traded for a hellcat when they first came out. Regretted it but after a while I came across a Kimber micro 9 stg version. Kept it a little while but nothing like the SIG. Now I own a sig p938 AG ( aluminum grip) version and this is my baby. I want make the mistake again of selling it. Imo SIG beats the kimber hands down no question about it.
I'd agree about the size. The sig is deff a "pocket" sized Pistol. As in throw in your literal pocket no problem. The kimber is more like a super small subcompact. I'd agree not quite a pocket Pistol. Not much bigger at all but deff would def sit alot diff in pocket. Which I'd say is probably a pro for most people. Cause biggest complaint I can see for the sig is the grip size. People have convinced themselves that the remaining 3 fingers that aren't involved in the shooting of the gun need to have a place of the grip to get a proper purchase on the firearm. And that's just not the case, and if that's a concern to you then you may need to rethink your shooting positions. Cause all the force used to 1. Shoot the gun and 2. Manage recoil to get back on target are in the index finger and the webbing(pocket) between index and thumb.
The sig 938 and the kimber micro 9 are nearly identical in size in fact any holster made for one will fit the other, if anything the kimber micro 9 is perhaps ever so slightly thinner, anyone who carries the sig 938 as a pocket pistol could just as easily carry the kimber micro 9 and because of the rounded edges of the kimber it tends to print less than the sig 938. I own both and carry both if I were asked which is my favorite I’d say I don’t have one both are fantastic firearms.
I looked at both of these their very comparable. I decided to stick with my P238 Equinox being 380 it’s a pleasure to shoot. These 9s were a little snappy to shoot much. Just my opinion.
Hmmmm. Both nice but am I missing something? Do either have a grip safety? I'm only interested in a 1911 with a grip safety. I could carry a Kimber Pro Carry II.
You are correct. That’s the one (big) thing they are missing from the 1911. Guessing it would simply just not fit on that small of a frame!! Thanks for watching!!
I have the Kimber Micor 9 STG (Soft Touch Grip) and I really like the feel of it. I have small to medium hands so the STG, which has the magazine with the pinky extension, very much assisted me in getting a full purchase on the grip. The options with the Kimber Micro 9 are endless and the price range is as well. I feel as if you're paying for the KIMBER name which is alright because they do make quality firearms (just like Sig Sauer).
I have been a Sig guy for years. The 938 Scorpion that I had did nothing but malfunction. I ditched it and bought a Kimber Raptor micro 9. Not a single issue. I've noticed quality issues with recent manufacture Sigs. Disappointing.
I’ve got a P938 that I have had for about 8 or 10 years. It has never not fired or malfunctioned in any way. Seems like the P938 is the micro that everyone wants to compare to. I would have liked to have seen an accuracy test between the Kimber and the Sig. My Sig will accurately shoot just as good as my XDM and that is saying a lot. Thanks for the video.
Own the legion p938 legion. Great firearm but one thing that sucks is the guide rod. It’s a 2 piece guide rod and it will come loose after 200-300 rounds. Jam a few times as well. Go with Kimber micro rapide.
Anbu365, I've had my P938 Legion since October 2023 I've got 500+ rounds through it both range and defensive ammo, I've had zero issues or malfunctions and the guide rod is still in one piece. I actually got the Sig one piece guide rod just in case, if the two piece comes apart I will install it.
I bought the Kimber micro 9 Rapide (black ice) easy to carry and it looks so good, cool factor for sure. After spending all that $ not sure why Kimber only includes 1 magazine.
Thanks for a very even-keeled and thoughtful video comparing these two firearms. You asked for comments, so I have one or two that, I think, sync with yours: The sighting problem with Crimson Trace grips is merely due to your being left-handed; right-handed shooters could use a two-handed grip with them. By now, you surely realize that the world is not fair to you lefties! I do not use Crimson Trace, because my Sig 938’s sights (front-and-rear) glow in the dark (as they do on my Kimber Ultra CDP II and my S&W J-frame 60-15 with the 3-inch barrel), so I believe at social distances, I could just put the front sight on the target, rather than look for the red dot (though I have a green dot on my PCC, so I am not averse to them). Some people appreciate that the rear sight on the Sig 938 is intentionally designed (leaning forward) for you to be able to rack the slide with one hand (if the other is busy or disabled), whereas the Kimber rear sight could not catch on a belt, or the edge of a desk, etc. They both seem to be fine little firearms that mimic the 1911; had the Kimber appeared before the Sig, I probably would have purchased it, and I am sure I would be happy with either. I love my (larger, Commander-sized 1911) Kimber Ultra CDP II (in .45 ACP), which I have carried at appropriate times for over 15 years, and I am confident that Kimber has put their same effort into their little 9, though the Sig was pricey enough, so the additional cash for the Kimber might be prohibitive for those who are married...
I have the Sig P938 SAS model that has the dehorned melt down treatment on the slide . Nice rosewood grips and two tone give it a very handsome appearance much like the Kimber you’ve shown here . I replaced the front sight with a Truglo fiber optic / tritium one and that really helped me with quicker sight acquisition and improved the overall image and performance for picking up my targets . The takedown lever can be a little tricky to manipulate as you have to retract the slide to it’s designated position with one hand and then push the takedown pin out from the ejection side while wiggling and pulling it out from its origin while simultaneously keeping the slide from moving, it just takes a little practice but the first couple times was kinda tedious lol 😂 Overall a great shooter , feels great in my smaller hands and very dependable and well built , no issues whatsoever.
I have both. They are very similar. Kimber has the internal extractor, Sig, external. I did trigger jobs on both, they ended up at 4-4.5lbs. Kimber mags will run in the Sig, Sig mags will not run in the Kimber. Sights are equal. I replaced the rubber grips on the Sig. I like the Legion grips on my 229 so I put a pair on my 938. The Kimber came with nice G10 grips and they work well. Bottom line, flip a coin. Close your eyes and they are hard to tell apart.
Does the Kimber have a captive recoil spring? That is something 99% of these reviews don't cover and it is definitely a pain to reassemble the 938 without a captive recoil spring.
I had a Kimber micro 380. On the third return, I wrote a note saying this is a piece of trash. Kimber called back and,” I agree, the next sound you hear will be it going into the trash. “Kalunk”! He gave me the full MSRP on anything in Kimber’s book. I picked the officer’s pistol, Ultra Carry 2, and sent Kimber $310. It was and still is the standard for 1911s. Perfect out of the box. I bought a Colt officer’s 1911. I took out the internal parts, including that nasty plastic trigger, and threw them in the trash. I ordered and installed all new Kimber UC2 parts. Now the Colt feels and shoots like the Kimber. It’s like having a matched pair of Kimber Ultra Carry IIs Soo Kimber is a mixed bag. Thanks. I love anything Sig Sauer! I have an Sig P238, “Baby”.
Have been trying to decide on a 9 mm and small for ccw. Have been carrying a 45 ACP which heavy. Not looking for inexpensive firearm as I want reliable firarm. Thanks
A small piece of triviality, Sig only offers 3 versions of the P938 right now and one version of the P238. There have been well over a dozen varieties in the past, but they’ve slimmed down their line up.
The Kimber really works for me. The fit, finish, and overall appearance is top notch. Sight acquisition is very easy. It’s the right weight for everyday carry as well making concealment a breeze. There is a price difference of course, but to me it was well worth the extra cash. Cheers!
if you flatten your thumb of your off hand closer to the frame rather then pointed more to the slide then laser is not impended. did you shoot the kimber at range for comparison
Yeah - I just needed to spend more time with the firearm. Pretty cool tech. Liked it way better in person than I thought I would (had only seen pictures before). THAN YOU for watching!
I like that Kimber has an aluminum trigger. Where Sig’s trigger is plastic. I own a Kimber micro 9, and a p238 in 380. Kimber is much tighter in my opinion.
Thanks for the video! I was more looking for something as a backup, ankle carry gun that's pretty compact but north of .380. I appreciate your thoughts. I think the Sig wins just based on pricing and functionality.
Good point about extractors. I had a 938 about 10 years ago and had nothing but trouble with extraction- not ammo brand related. Sold the gun and moved on. Wonder if Sig as fixed this?
I am also a Sig Sauer fan but also have a Kimber Mico 9 Raptor. Bought the Kimber for $709 and it is a unique looking pistol that shoots as well as my Sig Sauers.
The P938 is kicking my a$$. The arthritis in my thumb prevents me from reassembling it after cleaning. I took the slide, spring and guide rod down to my local gun store and we put in his vise with rubber jaws to get that darn spring back in. I'm think I'm going to trade it for something easier to put back together.
@@penaj58 have you tried this trick for the spring / guide rod? Saved my life!! Sig P938 re-assembly - Spring/Guide Rod trick ua-cam.com/video/wV8bWnm77Wo/v-deo.html
I own several Sigs and Kimbers, I find all of them great. The only thing that separates them for me is the disassembly for cleaning of the Kimbers. Especially the convoluted method of the Kimber guide- rod removal.
Carried an S&W bodyguard 380 as my daily CCW for a while mainly b/c I’m not a huge guy & don’t like bulk clothes & the bodyguard is about as tidy as it gets- but never felt 100% comfortable w/ the caliber or especially the accuracy of that weapon, then I went to a P938 extreme micro- love shooting it @ range, took some time to “trust” the hammer safety cocked & locked, super accurate for a gun its size & feels great in hand…but the capacity isn’t the best w/ standard size mag…& now at this point my go-to is a P365 micro which I think blends the best of a tiny CCW & decent caliber size & capacity & accuracy.
The Kimber was a loaner but the owner reported no issues. Have had noting but success from the Sig with either HP or FMJ. The Sig does have a VERY steep feed ramp though...but so far, no issues getting hollow points up it. THANK YOU for watching!!
I like the Crimson Trace on Kimber... But I inspected a lot of Kimbers To find some of their lower end Kimbers didn't have as good if machine work as the 938 Why I bought the 938.... Wish Kimber had better quality control.... But love my 938 with end sights
I really enjoyed this video! You should have more subscribers because this is great. Question: how do you carry these? I have never owned or carried a 1911 style pistol. Do you carry a round in the chamber with the hammer down and safety off or safety on? Or a round in the chamber with hammer cocked and safety on? Thanks! - Geoff
I carry the 938 cocked and locked with one in the chamber. Don’t carry it as much as other guns but when I do that’s how I carry it. Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching!!!
@@TheArkansasGunGuy thanks buddy! I’m debating what to get for a new carry 9mm subcompact. Been carrying a LCP for years and just want to step up the caliber but don’t want a huge pistol to carry around. What is your favorite? - Geoff
have both Kmber 9 & 380 micros I love BOTH weapons they don't like all kinds of ammo, and you can't go wrong for hotter months for EDC, Kimber is pricey SIG I have no clue about the price
@@The_real_Toddington comes with the Crimson Trace built into the grip itself, the button wraps around the front of the grip so when you grab it the laser engages automatically unless you turn it off with a switch also located on the grip
Sorry - would have loved to but was only able to quickly borrow the Kimber from a friend of mine. Have since shot and loved Probably still choose the Sig but the Kimber is way better than I ever thought! Thank you for watching!
I like both pistols.not a big fan of the crimson stuff.i have the SIG P 938. SUPER little pistol.easy to "hide". shoots really well, sights are also outstanding. don't know squat about Kimber.
Ive owned p938 for 5-6 years.prob.6-7 hundred rounds.never jambed and will shoot socker ball size at 25 yrd.if i cary it nobody knows i have it and im skinny.love it wouldn't trade it for two kimbers
Kimber surprised me. Both in how much I liked it and how much they cost!!! I thought Sigs were expensive!! Both really good, but I'm sticking w/ the Sig also (since I already own it!). THANk YOU for watching!!
My only concern with the Kimber is the barrel twist rate. The Sig is said to be 1:10", while the Kimber is 1:16. I've seen several reviews of the only other 9mm pistol I've ever seen with a 1:16 twist and projectiles were tumbling at 30'. Based on even that possibility, I'll take the Sig. If Kimber offers the Micro 9 with a standard 9mm twist rate, I'd happily purchase one. Truly a lovely weapon. The other thing is that I believe the triggers on both of those have been modified. I've watched every video on youtube comparing those two and no one has ever measured trigger pull weights like those. Both are commonly over 6lbs, occasionally over 7 lbs.
Hey I'm not sure about people's preferences about carrying with comps. But kimber makes an amazing option. It's called the micro 9 esv Mc tp. It's a mouthful but it's there esv enhanced slide with porting and the Mc is micro comp and the tp is just there tridium pro night sights. Its 2 tone black slide satin stainless finished frame. But this thing is super sexy. Finding em new around 9 but like new selling all over the place from 7 to 850. And if you don't like the 2tone black and satin combo they have a all stainless version also. But that version doesn't have the lightening cuts or ported slide whatever you'd call it. So a 2 tone option and a full stainless option. If your lookin for small carry gun that's kinda flashy. I'm telling you you'll love this option😊
I increased the performance of my Micro 9 by increasing the pinky grip. Also, I increased the performance by increasing the roughness in the front of the grip. Finally, I put on a green laser that is far superior than a red one.
P938 legion is my carry. I too found little difference between the two. The legion model is the best of the Sig options, no shocker, as it is the only one with trigger guard checkering, the cerekote finish, and it has the beveled metal mag well which is huge for mag swaps. I also run a Kimber Micro 9 8 round magazine in it. No faults, but just had to modify the plastic end cap to fit in the mag well. Can't go wrong with either firearm, Id reccomend the P938 Legion by a hair.
Excellent feed back!! Thanks so much for putting that out there! I didn't think about the mags potentially being interchangeable ! Thank you for watching also!!!
*Seven rounds is not what we expected, which there are plenty other pistols out that carry half again as much. Big disappointment with these two pistols.*
But of course. Don't mind the keyboard warriors drinking all that hater-aid. They've got nothing better to do until they move out of their mama's house. 😂 I did truly enjoy the review sir. Well done!👍
I love how these Sig and Kimber guys say the Glock design is getting old. Then turn around and say look at this "new" 1911 based on a design that has been around since the year 1911, now which one is outdated?😂
i kind of love the way my P08 Luger feels in the hand - and it was designed in 1900!!! (: We are truly lucky to have so many options. Thanks for watching!!!
Kimber has life time warranty for the last 3 months, just go on line. By the way if it not new not problem just put the info in and print out your warranty
Just to mention that if held by a RIGHT HANDED shooter and gripping two hands, there is no laser obstruction. Only for those who are LEFT HANDED.
Well that sucks…I’m actually left handed
My hand covers the laser as a right-hand shooter.
Mine is covered too Right handed..... BS on this man's original comment.

Im a lefty and have the Sig. Wonderful little pistol and its very easy to shoot.
Great gun review! My Wife carries the Kimber Micro 9mm and she loves it! And she is a great shooter!
Same w Sign fandom!!! Hard to beat. Thanks so much for watching!
Kimber never had fantastic QC. The company is only 27 years old
I had the same issue with an older Kimber small 1911 from their custom shop.
I own both firearms. Kimber in SS and P938 Scorpion. Both are well made and are great shooters.
I’m also happy w my Sig’s. That was my first exposure to the Kimber - and it was nice - but keeping my Sig!!! THANK YOU for watching!
As always, an excellent review. I'm in New Hampshire ( constitutional carry ) my ccw ia a sig p238, I am liking that Kimber.
I owned both and no complaints with either. Can’t seem to hold onto them though as I keep swapping. Ready to get the Legion 938 again
I don’t think I’ll ever trade my Legion 938!!! Thank you for watching!!!!
You asked for comments, so I have one or two that, I think, sync with yours:
The sighting problem with Crimson Trace grips is merely due to your being left-handed; right-handed shooters could use a two-handed grip with them.
Have you compared the guide rods of these two, I'd love a video on them, I understand that the one in the Kimber is one piece!
I have not but I love the idea. Will have to see if my buddy will let me borrow his Kimber again!
The takedown lever can be a little tricky to manipulate as you have to retract the slide to it’s designated position with one hand and then push the takedown pin out from the ejection side while wiggling and pulling it out from its origin while simultaneously keeping the slide from moving, it just takes a little practice but the first couple times was kinda tedious lol 😂
Overall a great shooter , feels great in my smaller hands and very dependable and well built , no issues whatsoever.
I just picked up a brand new Micro 9 RTC today and I love it.
I had a Springfield 911 9mm that I loved, essentially wore it out and Springfield doesn't support it anymore. Looking at that Kimber as a replacement.
I paid $759 for the exact model Kimber. Also, the laser isn’t affected if you shoot right hand dominant.
Saw today for 735 in desert tan/black w CT
I won the raptor kimber micro 9mm. Can't wait to pick it up. Msrp for over a grand now wow
Thanks
You can buy the laser grip for left hand users ..solves your laser obstruction problem.
A small piece of triviality, Sig only offers 3 versions of the P938 right now and one version of the P238. There have been well over a dozen varieties in the past, but they’ve slimmed down their line up.
Great call out. I think they are focusing all their efforts on the more profitable polymer guns ):
Thanks so much for watching!!!
Why@@TheArkansasGunGuy
I like that Kimber has an aluminum trigger. Where Sig’s trigger is plastic. I own a Kimber micro 9, and a p238 in 380. Kimber is much tighter in my opinion.
Thanks for the video! I was more looking for something as a backup, ankle carry gun that's pretty compact but north of .380. I appreciate your thoughts. I think the Sig wins just based on pricing and functionality.
I love both guns but, the Kimber is slightly higher end with the tolerances. Both are really great but, I like my Kimber slightly more.
I was super impressed with the Kimber. That was my first exposure to the brand. Thank you for watching!
You neglected to mention the differences in extractors...
Urgh - good call. I may need to get my friend’s Kimber back over!! (:
Thank you for the heads up - and for watching!
Good point about extractors. I had a 938 about 10 years ago and had nothing but trouble with extraction- not ammo brand related. Sold the gun and moved on. Wonder if Sig as fixed this?
Other than Kimber's is internal, what else about the extractor is different?
I am also a Sig Sauer fan but also have a Kimber Mico 9 Raptor. Bought the Kimber for $709 and it is a unique looking pistol that shoots as well as my Sig Sauers.
I tried my brothers Rapide in ,45 and loved it, Kimber makes some quality 1911's.
I want to know if the Kimber is any easier to put back together after cleaning.
I’ll have to ask my buddy who let me borrow it. I was afraid to try because it’s so hard to get some guns (p938) back together!!
THANK YOU for watching also!
Sig P938 re-assembly - Spring/Guide Rod trick
ua-cam.com/video/wV8bWnm77Wo/v-deo.html
Yes sir. I did. I still couldn't do it.
Have you shot them both? My micro 9 does not like hollow points.
The Kimber was a loaner but the owner reported no issues. Have had noting but success from the Sig with either HP or FMJ. The Sig does have a VERY steep feed ramp though...but so far, no issues getting hollow points up it. THANK YOU for watching!!
Are you shooting 115 hollow points, run 124 hollow points no problem
I love my kimber MC TP. With the added comments incredibly the upgraded sights make all the difference.
Good review, I've shot both, I own and prefer Kimber. The Sig shot Good. All comes down to preference.
It sure does!!! Nothing like putting the guns in your hand. I was very surprised by the Kimber!! Thanks so much for watching!!!
I like the Crimson Trace on Kimber...
But I inspected a lot of Kimbers
To find some of their lower end Kimbers didn't have as good if machine work as the 938
Why I bought the 938....
Wish Kimber had better quality control....
But love my 938 with end sights
How about the external extractor on the Sig? I have had fte issue on micro 9….
Nice review!
I have a Kimber and love it! The laser is awesome!!! After seeing the Sig, I'm a fan and want a 938 now...lol
- Geoff
My P938 jams. One trip to factory still jams. I have it at my gun smith.
My P938 is very accurate and shoots well for such a small firearm.
BTW. the Crimson Trace Lasergrip adds $200+ to the total cost… probably why a big price difference
Good call on that Crimson Trace. It was actually pretty sweet!! Thanks for watching!
They are much cheaper now. Low 7s
love the p938. 200 rounds, no issues whatsoever. shoots great.
have both Kmber 9 & 380 micros I love BOTH weapons they don't like all kinds of ammo, and you can't go wrong for hotter months for EDC, Kimber is pricey SIG I have no clue about the price
Sig’s seem to be couple hundred $ less depending on the models compared. Both fantastic guns though. Thanks so much for watching!!
Fun fact... Kimber has an 8 round mag that fits perfectly in the micro 9 extending both capacity and grip...
Thats my exact Kimber Micro 9 Custom 😅 finally I found the same one on UA-cam, the laser and night sight combo is awesome! Love that damn gun so much
I was blown away by the quality. My first exposure to Kimber and I was impressed. THANK YOU for watching!!
Does the laser come already or is it a add on
@@The_real_Toddington comes with the Crimson Trace built into the grip itself, the button wraps around the front of the grip so when you grab it the laser engages automatically unless you turn it off with a switch also located on the grip
They should update the Sig 938 to a double stack 10 rds.
No Shooting comparison?
Sorry - would have loved to but was only able to quickly borrow the Kimber from a friend of mine. Have since shot and loved Probably still choose the Sig but the Kimber is way better than I ever thought! Thank you for watching!
De ese tamaño existe una 38 súper. ? Cuál sería ?
Have you compared these to the CSX yet? If not, do you plan to do so?
I have it yet but will try to find a buddy who owns one so I can do that! Great suggestion! THANKS for watching!!
Laser fine for right handed?
the guy who let me borrow his Kimber is right handed. my big left hand gets in the way. THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Honest tabletop review- thank you!
Pick without shooting?
The word is "height". It ends in a hard T. There is no such word as "heighth".
Also, the "Beaver trail" is called a "Tang".
I don't own either but i have shot them and i can say i personally like the Sig better.
Kimber surprised me. Both in how much I liked it and how much they cost!!! I thought Sigs were expensive!! Both really good, but I'm sticking w/ the Sig also (since I already own it!). THANk YOU for watching!!
When my P320 went off on it's own in the holster i stopped being a sig fan lol but great video
Awesome review thank you 🙂
Thank YOU for the kind words and for watching!!
Looks like the laser would work two handed if you are right handed.
that's my biggest problem! I shoot (and write...and throw) with the wrong hand!!! (: THANKS for watching!!!
Lefties are in their right mind, lol
I have the Kimber and I'm right-handed. Laser works flawlessly two-handed...
That sig u can use the mag in that Kimber
Sorry my mistake the 2tone option the frame is black and the slide is stainless
Dude!!! That’s awesome information!! Appreciate you sharing that for viewers!!! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
I would choose the one with the laser if I could. 😅
*Seven rounds is not what we expected, which there are plenty other pistols out that carry half again as much. Big disappointment with these two pistols.*
Thanks for the sweet review and God bless. 🙏
Thank YOU so much for the nice words and for watching my channel!!!
But of course. Don't mind the keyboard warriors drinking all that hater-aid. They've got nothing better to do until they move out of their mama's house. 😂 I did truly enjoy the review sir. Well done!👍
My wife has both of them. They’re both very good.
I have a Kimber micro .380 - and it’s a great gun
Never shot the Sig. But love my micro 9. Not one issue yet. Over 1000 rds through it
Awesome to hear about their reliability! And THANK YOU for watching!
I need both
i like the way you think!! thanks for stopping by!
thanks needed this video!
Dammmvur finger is the size of guns!?!?!? No way there that small or no way ur hands are that big!!!
Either way gr8 video n ty.
When you order one they ask you if you want right or left hand laser
I love how these Sig and Kimber guys say the Glock design is getting old. Then turn around and say look at this "new" 1911 based on a design that has been around since the year 1911, now which one is outdated?😂
i kind of love the way my P08 Luger feels in the hand - and it was designed in 1900!!! (: We are truly lucky to have so many options. Thanks for watching!!!
The Kimber only has a one year warranty. The Sig has a lifetime warranty enough said.
Very good point!!! Thank you so much for watching!!
Kimber has life time warranty for the last 3 months, just go on line. By the way if it not new not problem just put the info in and print out your warranty
