Flightles, Thanks for your very kind and encouraging words. i was in the USA last year on a speaking tour in California, Georgia, Missouri and Kansas. I late September I will be in Florida Ohio and New York. As for Eden being restored, there will be a renovated (new) heaven and earth. Earth in its entirelty will be a paradise. God bless.
Hey Robert I love your content!! Robert I have a question my friend is orthodox and he asked me these questions and I don’t know the answer to them. Please if u can answer them so I can tell him the proper catholic answers!
1) why should I be Catholic if the Catholic Church says that the Eastern Orthodox sacraments are valid?
2) if the pope is really the successor of Peter, than how come in the council of Jerusalem Peter said that you have to be Jewish and circumcised to be a Christian, while Paul said the opposite and now the church follows Paul’s example. Isn’t Peter supposed to be infallible?
3) How come the Catholic Church venerates post schism saints, so is there salvation outside of the church?

My response to your Orthodox friend as to why and he (and everyone else) should become Catholic is that the Catholic Church has retained the Petrine ministry which is evident in Scripture and given by Christ: Matt. 16:18-20; Luke 22:32ff; John 21:15ff. As for point (2), St peter never said any such thing in the Council of jerusalem as recorded in Acts 15. He actually said the opposite. See verses 8-11. As for salvation outside of the Catholic Church, this is a dogma but understood today it also includes anyone who dies in good faith, who were ignorant of the truth through no fault of their own, who sincerely tried to do the wwill of God as they knew it, who followed the natural law (do good and avoid evil) and who were faithful to the graces they received. @@michealrusso647 Speak to a solid Maronite priest and inquire about being formally received. (Some, sadly, may say do not even bother to change or be formally received!). The Church says that Orthodox converts to Catholicism technically become Byzantine Catholics (e.g., Melkites) and they need to seek permission from a Melkite bishop to become Maronite or Roman Catholic. He did not go to Purgatory.
Christ descended into hell to free the Just who were waiting for the Redeemer.
When people sin, it damages the soul depending on the type of sin committed..
If it is a grave sin charity in the soul is destroyed. If it is a lesser sin. it wounds and offends the soul So, even if you have your sins forgiven, the soul still remains damaged. This is why Purgatory is needed to repair and purify the soul before entrance.into heaven. The People in Purgatory are on the way to heaven, as soon as the soul is perfectly purified.
Not sure the good Dr said Jesus "went" to Purgatory....He went, to the Bosom of Abraham! A different place. But again, we fall into the trap of turning Purgatory into a "place"...it is a state of being!

@@mmmail1969Purgatory is for temporal sins and worldly attachments to purify the faithfully departed until Jesus comes again. Abrahams Bossom are the saints and the martyrs waiting for Jesus to bring them to Heaven❤️🌎✝️
