    That was the best drawer system build video I’ve seen! Nice clean design. Everything worked out well because you took your time.

    You did a very great job with this, even with all the finishing wiring connections. Great work and thanks for taking the time to record. I know it takes twice the time when you have to worry about filming and editing as well. Props!

      Thanks man! Really stoked on how it came out. It definitely takes longer to film this stuff. Love sharing it tho:)

    Great job, I really appreciate the extra effort. I used pocket hole screws on mine and wish I'd done the tongue/groove. The pocket hole screws move the material 1-2 mm out of alignment as they tighten down. Everything works out...but the precision of your fit looks way better.

    Well done! I like the double drawers...really utilizes the space well and makes for a better camp kitchen. It's very satisfying to build something like that and put it to use. I've built a sleeping/storage a platform for my 3rd gen 4Runner without drawers, but that is my next project. I used the identical toungue and groove joints for mine too...very strong!

    Impressive work for your first time! I just picked up a Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ and will be building one very similar to yours but I think I’ll order the dado blades for the table saw just to ease up on the work load as I’m a lot closer to retirement than you, lol! I’ll do the fridge like yours but I’m also putting in a stove/grill along with onboard water supply. I can’t wait to get started on my project!!!

    Absolutely awesome job, Carter!!! Thank You!! The only addition I will do with my build is drilling of holes with Forstner bits in hidden areas for both weight reduction and ventilation to eliminate any potential for mold from condensation. Great Job!!

    Fantastic work. You did such a wonderful job and to top it off you haven't done anything like this. You should be proud of the outcome.
    I had to look at the video date. You paid a Biden premium for the materials. That's going to hit me with my build in a few months. I like your design but I'll add a few more bells and whistles to mine.
    Once again, great work. Keep it up. Those skills will serve you well through your life.

    Awesome job on the build and video! Question about using a single locking drawer slide per drawer: Does it seem less secure than if both sides had locking slides? Seems nice to be able to unlock with 1 hand but worried it might wobble a bit when extended.

    • @PartimeOverland
      @PartimeOverland  2 роки тому

      Yessir! I'd love to do that. Unfortunately it's a one off and with it in the vehicle it's pretty hard to get measurements from it (it's a bitch to get in and out). My best advise, without having the actual measurements right now, is start with what hardware you want: in my case I wanted the 3 foot drawer slides. Also think about how tall you want the platform to be - I found it was much easier to make it tall enough to cover the wheel wells completely.
      I know that's probably not the answer you're looking for but hope it's some help. If there's anything specifically you want me to measure let me know and I can try to get it for ya

    • @PartimeOverland
      @PartimeOverland  2 роки тому

      Hmm good question. Drawer slides were the most expensive... about $600 for 3 pair. I would say in total about $800. With that said I think you could save probably $300 or so depending on where you buy the material (and of course the complexity of the build). I just wanted to go a little overkill so they would last forever. Anyway hope that helps you estimate
