been a carpenter, developer contractor, hold a mechanical engineering degree, have been several city entities " go to" for advice on difficult building dilemmas. All that said, I cried. Your ingenuity and design prowess just made me wonder why I paid 34k for a tag along to use on my property while I set up my shop and house foundation. I hope you get many more tool sponsors and neat toys to make these kinds of projects. I truly appreciate the time and efforts, put forth to design and build this. HUMBLED!

KIller Build... One important tip I learned the hard way. Either remove the fire extinguisher before using the kitchen or permanently relocate to a non-flamably area of the truck. If you ever have a fire situation with the tank, gas-line or stove a fire would prevent access to the FE.

Not only did you manage to think of just about everything you’d ever need in a tailgate kitchen but some of your design features are absolutely brilliant. The collapsible slide out sink, knife drawer with built-in magnetic strip are just so freaking cool and I love the fact that you tried to use every bit of available space so that nothing got wasted. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video longer than 5 minutes long on here. This had me hooked the whole time. Growing up as an avid camper, our family used to laugh that we brought everything AND the kitchen sink. This put our little trailer to shame. Now I want the same for my truck.

Awesome build. Wasn't expecting to pick up a few tricks like using a router instead of a jigsaw. Also I'm glad to see more and more people using the pocket screw method instead of things like dovetails for joints.
I had the same idea to use aluminum angle pieces for edging on a few projects with my old van build.

The way you saw a empty space and executed the essentials was absolutely inspiring!!! I would love to see your mindset tackle a 4Runner with a folding forward section to still make use of back seat while being deployable at camp to sleep on top!! Also might be a dumb question but how do you refill water tank?

Is there enough bolt thread left for you to be able to loosen it enough to take the hook on and off? Wait, nvm, you could just back off the nut a few turns and then unscrew the shackle down below. I was originally thinking you'd hook and re-hook

That is a very nice setup. Well built too. I think you should leave the sink loose so it can be cleaned up if it gets dirty around there. You could pull a little trailer to sleep in without having to put the tent up and toss a canoe on top.

Really nice build. My only concern would be having the fire extinguisher so close to the gas and grill. In the event of a fire you'd have to reach behind the fire to get to the extinguisher.

If the propane tank is on fire I'm not going to fix that with a fire extinguisher! The only reason I have it is for grease fires by the stove and I can get to it just fine for that.

Epic build. I used your basic concept for my build only with a few changes. The problem I'm experiencing and or my main concern at the current phase is; upon testing the blackstone grill(22 inch dual) the plywood on the sides reached 290 degrees F. Have you had issues with heat after installing the metal surface? I have 1.75 inches of clearance on one side and 2.75 on the other. Too bad I can't post pics here! I could show you the metal frame I built out of 1/16" 3/4" steel. It weighs only about 25-30lbs. About the Weight of one of the tracks 😆 🤣.
