    Awesome work, looks awesome mate... Agree with the Evakool draw fridges, used them in my last few builds, wouldn't use anything else anymore... Love them, and compared to a chest fridge + a slide/Drop Slide, they save weight and cost... Only thing, ... and I don't want to seem like "that" guy.... But with the inverter, that wire wasn't large enough to suit 3000w inverter (the stuff Renogy supply, can't actually handle it at load, it will get hot and melt eventually if you start using to capacity). And there wasn't a breaker/fuse on it in case it does. Just be careful with it. My 2000W renogy pulls around 170amp at full tilt, and you need at least 70mm2 wire for it. 3000w, you're going to need at least handle 250amp (which is like 120mm2)... Granted if you're never going to use the 3000w, you can get away with it, but future proofing is always best (imo)... Last thing you want is a fire, especially right above your lithium.

      Oh your THAT guy 😂.
      Nah all good I was waiting for someone to say it.
      At the time of install I didn’t have any other cables there.
      I’ve since got ( but yet to install ) twin 70mm cables for both pos and negative.
      So 140mm cable which is more then enough for 3000w.
      Having said that I think I’ve only ever once had the unit at capacity and they was to test it out.
      Most of the time it’s only getting about 90-140amp at any given time while cooking.
      But you are absolutely correct. I’m much better of future proofing it ( which I plan on doing ).
      Thanks for watching and for the feedback.

    Love ya build. To organise my cables I've used Nylon Cable Drag Carrier for the Fridge power lead and same for 240v lead for induction cooktop because its mounted and can still unplug/lift out when cooking on the camp table.
    The cable carrier works on the same principle as on 3D printer. It's especially good at stopping the fridge plug/lead from hooking up and disconnecting from the fridge

    Awesome kitted out, I'm hoping to sort out my girlfriend car, she has a Dacia duster, I'm now taking stuff from my Peugeot 208 which also has a Tentbox, but now stripping it down to put on my girlfriend and also going to fit a side awning, I'd love to sort out a power supply for my fridge freezer and get USB charger sorted, on goong project 👍😉 nice job ..
    Ps your 240v use a bungee cord and cable tie the lead to it, hence it will pull back to it's original position 😉👍🔌💡

    • @Australian4x4Adventures
      @Australian4x4Adventures  Рік тому +1

      It was mainly due to the drawer in drawer setup. I needed the full Extention in the runners to make the lift up table work.
      Teflon drawers rely on a counter lever and they end up pointing down hill. I couldn’t have that with a table setup.

    This is going to help me so much with my hilux tub over haul. I was hoping for you to have a permanent travel buddy installed, guess i have to figurethat part out. After seeing this its made consider a draw fridge, because i too need to get a pram in the back plus the dogs. My old weaco is just getting in the way and i can find a location for it that I'm happy with.
    Also the coffee table hinge system may need another one in the middle to help stabilise it.

    • @Australian4x4Adventures
      @Australian4x4Adventures  Рік тому

      Hopefully this is helpful for ya then.
      Re the travel buddy. I’m half considering doing a gull wing window. If I do I’ll set it up on that side facing out the window. That’s why I didn’t permanently mount it anywhere just yet.
      To do a center hinge I’d need to also mount a divider which I don’t wanna do. Plus I don’t think a third would help. They need to be linked to stop the warping. But that would take up room in the drawer as well. It’s a small trade off

    Well done! Did you account for carpet thickness in your measurements? I've planned my own drawers with bare timber, but now I'm worried it wont fit if i carpet 😬 should i take a few mill off or will the carpet just squash into place? (Using automotive carpet from bunnings)

      If I was using a framing nail or a thicker gauge nail I would agree. But using a Brad gun, I wouldn’t try the thickness of the nails to just bend.
