I really do like the the laneige lip sleeping mask. I also love the he sugar fresh lip balm- the tinted are great for the work day. Too scared to buy the by Terry because I may love it ( and regret due to its price!)

through my personal experience, i've learned that the lip mask from laneige works best if your environment has enough moisture in it, since it is greatly infused with hyaluronic acid. and what hyaluronic acid does is get moisture from the environment, to your skin. when i was first trying out the lip mask, it wasn't working for me and was really sad cuz i really wanted it to work on me. however, a few months ago i purchased my own diffuser cuz i've heard great benefits from that especially for someone like me who has severely dry skin, and all of my skincare products infused with hyaluronic acid, including the lip mask, works soooo much better now.

I have been using the Laneige Lip mask since the last 6 months and it’s amazing!!! At first I just used to wash it in the morning (I use it as a sleeping mask) and was very bummed to see no result but then I started using it in a diff way.When you wake up , just take a damp towel end and use it as if you are literally removing something from your lips( be gentle,ofcourse) .Also make sure that the towel is damp and not wet. Hope it works out!!!

I wanted to love LANEIGE lip mask so bad but it just didn't work for me :( Woke up with dry lips. I recently got the Mamonde Sleeping Mask and it's so amazing!
I love layering the Laneige sleeping mask with some Aquaphor overtop before I go to bed! It softens up the dead skin so nicely that I can gently rub my lips with a wet towel in the morning and all of the dead skin kind of just rolls off and I'm left with super smooth lips! I find that this combination has helped my lips a lot, they used to crack and peel a whole bunch before and nothing else worked. Hopefully that's helpful!
I have very dry lips all year round and for years have sworn by: Weleda everon, L.A Bruket coconut lip balm and for bed time Reve de Miel by Nuxe. The Weleda is super cheap but really rich and does not leave lips watery like labelo.
I got the grapefruit laneige on at the beginning of summer and I‘ve been loving it so far, even though I used to be very sceptical of the hype! I put a thick layer on before bed and wake up with really plump and smooth lips. Not sure whether it‘s going to give me enough hydration in winter, my lips aren‘t that dry in summer so I haven‘t been able to really test their moisture wrap claims yet. If it‘s not enough, I‘ll probably swap back to my fave nuxe reve de miel or layer a face oil underneath
Lypsyl has been my number one favorite for years now! Made from Swedish beeswax but a Canadian product, is it not too waxy, perfectly creamy and the minty freshness is wonderful!!
if only BITE hadn't changed their formulas for the worse, their lip mask would be my favorite of all time. Now I'm using the Laneige lip mask and it's pretty good!

Like the BITE one, its texture is on the thicker side and it comes in a squeezy tube (though I actually prefer Milk's applicator).
I swear that working from home and receiving more daily kisses from my husband has made my lips more chapped. 😂 Thanks for sharing these, I definitely need an improved lip routine!

I swear by Caudalie (which I got bc you raved about it lol) and Burt's Bees. Affordable, effective and both have a lovely scent and they pass my "12 hours a day on a plane" test :p
Personally I find that I need to apply quite a thick layer of the Laneige lip sleeping mask for it to really be effective (so thick that my lips don’t look red anymore) Maybe you could try it that way? If nothing else you’ll be finishing the pot sooner :) Also I just wanted to mention that you got me to start my first deliberate no-buy since I ventured into the world of beauty. i bought the Innisfree tinted lip balm "dried rose tea" omg I love it so much. i use it when I'm lazy to put on lipstick. makes your lips fresh and juicy
LANEIGE lip sleeping mask works when you sleep with it on. The problem is that if you move alot during your sleep, there's going to be a mess. Also, depending on ingredients and people's lips. Some find it drying while others find it soft.

Love the Fenty lip balm in Latte Lips! It's a great my lips but better colour, has enough pigment to it that it looks more like a lip gloss than a lip balm.
The laneige one is my holy grail, but my lips get veryyyy dry and I have the awful habit of picking them when I'm stressed so this is the only product I've tried that softens them to the point where they dont look as bad and really reduces chapping so theres nothing for me to pick. I apply a thick layer every single night without fail and when I wake up it's either completely absorbed or nearly there. It's also nice in a light layer for daytime, like a nourishing gloss imo
I also bought the laneige lip mask because of youtubers swearing on it and I honestly have used better from the drug store . I have to keep reapplying it constantly as it does not last more than 20 minutes on my lips and they honestly feel even dryer :(( I’m just trying to finish it rn
i use my laneige lip sleeping mask to cure my chapped lips. 60% of the time, it works every time. i love it and the sample size lasts a lifetime for me
James Welsh recommends the Klavuu lip mask instead of the Laneige lip mask, and i took his recommendation (it’s good and nourishing but very thick, which is what a lip mask should be), but honestly, I may give the Laneige a try once I’m done with the Klavuu, as well as some of the ones you’ve featured here. (Especially the Sol de Janeiro one. I looooove the body balm and I didn’t know it came in a lip balm form!)

Just focusing on bestsellers from websites that stock a range of brands! 👍 I've used the Drunk Elephant balm in the past but chose not to include it here given the issues surrounding the brand x
I use the Vaseline rose lip balm (I like the ones in the tin cans) they are really good for dry chapped lips and also it doesn’t hurt even if you have chapped peeling lips. I use it and it also heeled the black rim around my lips
I 100% second your thoughts on the Laneige and Fresh balms! Neither are effective on me and I actually find that the Fresh one in particular sometimes makes my lips even worse. I kind of wonder if it’s the citrus...

I use one called Hailbut, my lips go from dry dull pale and flackey to redish (its not tinted or anything but my lips just start looking really different) plump hydrated and amazing... BUT ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN MY COUNTRY AAAA!!!

Unfortunately, most of these brands are not cruelty-free (meaning they test on animals). I find, in making conscious choices to support humanitarian brands, I end up going with little guys… brands not so famous yet doing amazing things. Also as a vegan, I avoid lanolin and beeswax, which narrows lip balm options substantially. There are some gorgeous products out there if you’re willing to look! Health food shops have some great options, and Etsy has heaps!!💝
Hyram did a video that explained the Laneige mask doesn’t do much, which was a relief because I didn’t get it either! It does make the lips look really good, like a gloss would, but without real hydration benefits. Personally I love the Jack Black balms- simple and very effective. For night and sometimes day I use Primera lip mask- which does wonders for my super chapped lips.
I have cheilitis since last week and I hate it very much. I don't know how it happened lol. So this is how I'm treating it: I bought and always do lip therapy, I bubble and massage my lips and it will exfoliate my lips, leaving it as soft as a baby's (also, I'm half african so my lips have those dry marks and wrinkles. The lip therapy erased most of them🥺 what a life saver). So I do that every month. Then after that, I will use my lip balm (taste beauty works really well for me for some reasons. It also taste and smells so good.) I will then put a thick amount of petroleum jelly after that lip balm. I noticed a very huge difference on my lips even before cheilitis attacked it🥺
I love using Aquaphor as my lip balm. It's rich and soothing for my lips. I wake up with smooth moisturized lips. In the morning, I use stick lip balm me and cousins swear by from Iran. I used to use Nuxe honey lip balm and truly one of the best. I need to repurchase it as soon as possible.
Have you tried Dr PawPaw lip balm (they come in tinted as well) and also Kylie (Jenner) lip mask which was surprisingly good and the lip oil. Pls do a lip oil review 😊
Idk if this is at Sephora, probably not, but HURRAW lip balms are a game changer for me idk I’ve never found anything else like that and they smell really good (coconut is my fav)
Yes! I bought the Laneige mask several months ago and while it's nice, I also don't get the hype. It might be better for upcoming winter months but I probably won't repurchase.

The laneige one is my holy grail, but my lips get veryyyy dry and I have the awful habit of picking them when I'm stressed so this is the only product I've tried that softens them to the point where they dont look as bad and really reduces chapping so theres nothing for me to pick. I apply a thick layer every single night without fail and when I wake up it's either completely absorbed or nearly there. It's also nice in a light layer for daytime, like a nourishing gloss imo

I also bought the laneige lip mask because of youtubers swearing on it and I honestly have used better from the drug store . I have to keep reapplying it constantly as it does not last more than 20 minutes on my lips and they honestly feel even dryer :(( I’m just trying to finish it rn
i use my laneige lip sleeping mask to cure my chapped lips. 60% of the time, it works every time. i love it and the sample size lasts a lifetime for me

James Welsh recommends the Klavuu lip mask instead of the Laneige lip mask, and i took his recommendation (it’s good and nourishing but very thick, which is what a lip mask should be), but honestly, I may give the Laneige a try once I’m done with the Klavuu, as well as some of the ones you’ve featured here. (Especially the Sol de Janeiro one. I looooove the body balm and I didn’t know it came in a lip balm form!)

I use the Vaseline rose lip balm (I like the ones in the tin cans) they are really good for dry chapped lips and also it doesn’t hurt even if you have chapped peeling lips. I use it and it also heeled the black rim around my lips

I 100% second your thoughts on the Laneige and Fresh balms! Neither are effective on me and I actually find that the Fresh one in particular sometimes makes my lips even worse. I kind of wonder if it’s the citrus...

I use one called Hailbut, my lips go from dry dull pale and flackey to redish (its not tinted or anything but my lips just start looking really different) plump hydrated and amazing... BUT ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN MY COUNTRY AAAA!!!

Unfortunately, most of these brands are not cruelty-free (meaning they test on animals). I find, in making conscious choices to support humanitarian brands, I end up going with little guys… brands not so famous yet doing amazing things. Also as a vegan, I avoid lanolin and beeswax, which narrows lip balm options substantially. There are some gorgeous products out there if you’re willing to look! Health food shops have some great options, and Etsy has heaps!!💝
Hyram did a video that explained the Laneige mask doesn’t do much, which was a relief because I didn’t get it either! It does make the lips look really good, like a gloss would, but without real hydration benefits. Personally I love the Jack Black balms- simple and very effective. For night and sometimes day I use Primera lip mask- which does wonders for my super chapped lips.
I love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I don’t think it has an amazing effect either, but I enjoy the texture and scent.
I have cheilitis since last week and I hate it very much. I don't know how it happened lol. So this is how I'm treating it:
I bought and always do lip therapy, I bubble and massage my lips and it will exfoliate my lips, leaving it as soft as a baby's (also, I'm half african so my lips have those dry marks and wrinkles. The lip therapy erased most of them🥺 what a life saver).
So I do that every month. Then after that, I will use my lip balm (taste beauty works really well for me for some reasons. It also taste and smells so good.) I will then put a thick amount of petroleum jelly after that lip balm.
I noticed a very huge difference on my lips even before cheilitis attacked it🥺
I love using Aquaphor as my lip balm. It's rich and soothing for my lips. I wake up with smooth moisturized lips. In the morning, I use stick lip balm me and cousins swear by from Iran. I used to use Nuxe honey lip balm and truly one of the best. I need to repurchase it as soon as possible.

Have you tried Dr PawPaw lip balm (they come in tinted as well) and also Kylie (Jenner) lip mask which was surprisingly good and the lip oil. Pls do a lip oil review 😊
Idk if this is at Sephora, probably not, but HURRAW lip balms are a game changer for me idk I’ve never found anything else like that and they smell really good (coconut is my fav)

Yes! I bought the Laneige mask several months ago and while it's nice, I also don't get the hype. It might be better for upcoming winter months but I probably won't repurchase.
