Finally, someone agrees with me. Laniege sleeping mask is not as great as everyone thinks. This sleeping mask does absolutely nothing for my lips. If anything, it has dried my lips out even more!
Oh no! Because it has done wonders for my lips . No matter which condition they are in laneige repairs them overnight.
You can try innisfree lip balms if you have access to them . They work pretty well

Same i cant tell if my lips changed or not after using it but i did buy it off shopee so im not sure if its authentic
It works best if left on for the whole night and then use a q tip to scrub off dead skin! It's not much as a balm or gloss so I just use it the day before events or if my lips are very cracked and dry. You still need to use lip balm after cause it's meant to get rid of dead skin not the same as lip balm
I just wanna say, i LOVE how she speaks. I’m not interested in buying any new products at the moment but I watched the whole video because the way she speaks really draws me in 💖

Even though I have been staying at home, Matilda has inspired me to take care of myself ! I’ve been putting on face masks, applying hand and body cream nightly, taking more care of my lips than usual and in general just feeling better about myself! Not to mention, one of my favourite parts of the day is watching Matilda’s videos after watching the sometimes alarming news.

What I like about your videos as opposed to videos from beauty UA-camrs is that you don't make videos just to promote products. The products you review or show are ones you love or that you've heard a lot about. And you give such honest simple reviews for everything. Plus your voice very calming. I could go on and on about how much I like your videos and everything I love about them, but I'd be here a long time.

I got a sample of the Milk lip and cheek tint and I absolutely love it! I was always a little scared of stick formulas because I thought they'd be too dragging but they're very lightweight, and it smells soooo good. Definitely getting the full size and maybe some other shades as well

Omg I bought the full-size bronzer in the darker color bc it doesn't come in a mini, and it's HUGE! It's SO MUCH MAKEUP!! I'm going to have that product for the rest of my life lmao

The laneige lip sleeping mask only truly works if you wash it off in the morning, it doesn't work the same way if you just let it sit on your lips (like how I see so many youtubers use it). When I bought it, I also didn't understand the hype, but it wasn't until I started wiping away the product with an exfoliating toner on a cotton pad in the morning that I saw a difference!
Used correctly, this product really does make lips baby soft
I used it overnight initially but didn't have any noticeable results unfortunately. Glad it works well for you (but I wonder if the exfoliating toner might be why they feel really soft!) ☺️👍 x
I been keeping on top of my skin care, being a nurse and wearing a mask for extended hours could cause some problems, I might get a skin mist 🤔 I miss wearing lipstick 😢 I just wear lip balm for now. I like the Bite Agave lip mask better than Laneige 🙂

Elisa Marie I bought one and shortly after sold it on Depop because it wasn’t as good as I was expecting it to be! Yes it was nice but not worth £30 for me. I much prefer the Milk makeup bronzer. Maybe you’re not really missing out on much :)

In terms of productivity, I find that it helps to go on a walk before starting work. I hadn't realized until now how helpful it was to walk to class in terms of transitioning to school/work mode. (I live in an area where I can go on walks without encountering many people. If you are in a similar situation, I would recommend it!)

Your Sephora picks look great, I have my eyes on the Kosas lip oil as well as the Nudestix blushes, though I can't decide on a shade. I own the Milk 'Werk' Blush and the bronzer, however I really don't understand why they contain 28g of product, it makes the packaging quite bulky and they'll probably expire before I'll manage to use them up... You can see lots of Nudestix shades swatched side by side in my brand review video ☺️👍 The Milk stick is such a big size, but I personally don't follow expiry dates and just prioritise cleanliness, so I've held onto mine - if something still looks / smells / performs the same, I keep it! x

I don't follow expiry dates either, but I reckon it would take me years to finish the Milk stick as I use other blushes too, and cream products tend to expire faster than powder formulas. I just find it a bit unnecessary, that's all. x
Okay I really really love that you've added products that you didn't like/didn't work for you! I find it so helpful and it's such a fresh contrast to feeling the constant need to purchase everything you see on social media. I'd love a full video dedicated to products that didn't live up to the hype for you if you ever have enough products/time to make one :)

For the laneige lip mask it isn’t a normal lip balm it’s true to the name a lip mask so it comes with its own scooper to apply a generous amount to wear overnight especially for really dry cracked lips cause it saves that! Apply it over night wake up wipe it off and exfoliate your lips cause it will rejuvenate your lips and make it sooo soft and plushy! One of my favs ever

Hot Chocolite by Fenty is AMAZING! I don’t really like the other shades of this gloss, but that one....ohhhh💕💕 it’s quite sheer, just ads a bit of depth to the lips plus some beautiful shimmer. Love!

I absolutely adore the 'Laneige' sleeping water mask! I got a tester, and after I ADORED IT. My skin felt so soft and moisturized, but not that old creamy moisture, it felt like I'd splashed the most refreshing water bucket on my face!

If you love lip oils, you NEED to try the clarins lip oil formula if you haven't already! It's plush and nourishing on the lips and will bring them back to life if they're feeling painful and chapped, and also has a gigantic, soft doefoot applicator. I personally like the shade Red Berry to breathe some life into my face, but all of them are very sheer and pretty. Word of warning - your hair WILL stick in it, but it's still worth it for me!
I have Red Berry too, Annabelle! Finally got to try the formula for the first time a couple of months ago. Sadly I don't find it nourishing on me and I think I prefer the Dior Lip Glow Oil! Planning to film a big lip oil comparison video at some stage 👍✨ x

OMG, can’t believe you actually try out the Laneige lip balm!! It’s definitely one of my favorite lip balm. I often bite and peel off my lips uncontrollably, and Laneige lip sleeping mask was always the one to help my lips feel good and heal faster. It also give a smooth and plumped look to my lips!! It’s unfortunate that it didn’t have the same effect on you, but maybe you should try to apply it before going to bed? I don’t really know, just a thought. Thanks for the video!
I needed to include it in another video because I'd had so many comments about it! 😄 I first tried it a long time ago and used to wear it overnight (I always apply some sort of lip balm before bed) but still didn't have any noticeable results. That's ok though, we can all have a different experience with the same product! x

I know rhat this is random, but I love your name.. like that book that I used to read when I was 8. Because of your videos I relized that minimal makeup is ok! I always thought that makeup was supposed to be full coverage and that it had to cover up everything to make a "base". Definitely agree with your views on the jet lag mask! It’s so thick, almost medicinal that I don’t get how a lot of users like to put it on as a daily moisturizer. I find that it does help my skin when I’m sick, and I just slather it on around my nose and mouth area so they don’t dry out. If I use it as a sleeping mask, I always use a mist toner beforehand because the liquid tones down just how t h i c k the product is and makes it easier to absorb.

I was on Sephora today and almost bought some things in their sale but lo and behold I had already run out of money after paying bills and spending money on another Ipsy mystery bag.
I bought the Milk makeup blushes in the mini size from Sephora (week & perk) a year ago. They are the only blushes I use, I wear makeup at least 5 days a week and I have yet to even roll up the tube. This stuff is like Wonka’s everlasting gobstopper.

Matilda have you tried the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge creams? The color Rose is my holy grail product and I use it for everything, blush, lips, eyeshadow, collar bones, across the nose bridge, and even on my shoulders and underneath my eyes for that Edwardian period drama look

I've gotten that Fresh Rose mask in so many sets and used it up just because but I've never noticed any positive effects from it at all. Nothing negative either. It's just like nothing.

Also Matilda, the Burts Bees all aglow lip to cheek blush sticks are really nice! I got mine from the drug store and it’s very very dewy! Are usually apply with my hands and as soon as my fingers touch the stick and warm it up a little bit it turns really liquidy! I love how when you apply it its as if it’s almost a liquid blush but it looks like a cream stick blush :)
Also the all aglow highlighter sticks are a great dupe for glossier haloscope plz check them out!

Suggestion: if you want a hydrating and brightening (removes acne scars/sun burn) face moisturizer try Cosrx’s rice spa mask, it’s a sleep mask (which can be used as a regular day cream) I slap it on at night before going to bed and wake up with the most healthy looking skin 💕

I felt the same way about the Lebowie lip sleeping mask. I find the bite beauty lip mask much more hydrating though the flavor isn’t great ( I don’t really mind though), it lasts and does the job!
I love the Summer Friday’s jet set mask and I’m dying to try their new lip butter that keeps selling out ok Sephora!

Only thing picked up from sephora recently, did purposefully few days before sale, because afraid would go on back order again during sale. I bought newer size big bottle of oloplex # 3 hair treatment. I didn't want my dyed hair to get damaged with not access to salon during quarantine.

Finnaly someone features the lovely ysl slim sheers. I loopve rouge devetu as welllll! I think i m going to pan it, it s the best for zoom calls. I personally love the full opacitiy as well. Rouge paradox is the most unique red in my collection . As a chanel lover i have to bow to this unique range :) .

Loved this video as I do all your content. You have a very calming presence. Since I feel we share a love of all things lip, I wanted to recommend the Clarins lip oil in any shade really. I have tried the raspberry, red, and red shimmer shades. I think you would love the red. I find it very nourishing on my chronically dry lips and I know how much you enjoy a sheer red. ♥️

Ive had the same issue with the summer Fridays mask. I've found it's not as moisturizing as it claims. The effects feel good at first but doesn't have any lasting impact past a few minutes. You're not alone in your experience!

my aunt owns TONS of lip makeup and I've always liked using them as multitasker! I always put the tiniest bit of lotion on my hand and mix it with a lipstick and use it as a cream blush
Absolutely! Using lipstick on your cheeks is a great beauty tip 💄 Cream blush formulas are usually a little softer and more lightweight so they work better on my skin x
I have bought the lip oilf diror in berry after your video and the maximizer in rosewood. Omg i love them both. Moisturizing , glossy and cushiony . And much less slippy than the fenty one. Personaally the fenty i found to slippy and i gave to my mom. I remain a dior fan. I may splurge on the bobbi brown gloss after i finish some more glosses :)

Hey Matilda! As someone who has very dry skin, I initially had the same opinion as you in regard to the summer Friday’s jet lag mask. Didn’t do enough for me. But then I decided to use it as a night time moisturiser and woke up the next day being amazed by the result! I’ve now used it every single night as a moisturiser for the past 6 months! Would definitely recommend giving this a go. It’s the only rich and heavy ‘moisturiser’ that hasn’t broken me out. Of course the only downside is, you go through the product much quicker and therefore you’re not really getting your money’s worth but on the other hand there are definitely more expensive moisturisers out there that don’t compare to this!
