Black Honey is the only lipstick I have repurchased multiple times. It has been in my collection since I started wearing makeup and I always made sure to purchase a backup before opening a new tube. My lips are more of a deep pigment and it was difficult to dip my toe into lipstick when I wanted something easy, light, for everyday use and this was on product. My grandma gave me a sample of this when I first started getting interested in wearing lipstick as a teen. My mom noticed it and asked what I was wearing and I showed her the sample tube. She laughed and said that she wore this exact shade when she was a teen and thought it was fitting that I discovered the same shade!
What a lovely shared lipstick experience Lia! A really special makeup connection to those family members forevermore. Thank you for sharing this with us ☺️🖤 x
I'm 56. I used to babysit when I was 14/15 so I could buy the Clinique lip gloss pots, my favorite was Black Honey. I used to have a cool aunt who bought me the pot gloss as well. They were $5 back then. Also Revlon Blackberry is iconic. My sister wore it in her wedding in 1998 but it was around long before then. I have a few of those in my bag as well. It's amazing what remains iconic. Thank you, Matilda.
I’m an old fart (58) and started wearing Black Honey in 1980 when it was a pot gloss. I currently have 3 tubes, 1 in my purse, 1 in my makeup collection at home, and 1 for a backup. Just love it!
I had the original black honey in the early 90’s used it to the end .. then fashion changed & it was abandoned in my drawer. I can’t believe it’s made such a huge comeback after decades .. 💋 I think the secret of its appeal is it suits all skin colours and all natural lip pigmentations .. effortlessly glides on & enhances your natural beauty
I was OBSESSED with this shade back in the day!! Clinique put it in one of those classic department store gift-with-purchase sets and my mom ALWAYS timed her face lotion purchase with those types of promotions. Anything she didn't want she'd give to me or my sister and she hated this color!! Said it made her look old lmao But it became my new everyday go-to! Gotta repurchase when it comes back in stock. If ever lol
Growing up (during my teens) my grandma would give me lipsticks to try out. I’ll never forget this shade. 10 years later here we are! Lovely to see another generation enjoying (and ensuring it stays on the shelves!) 🥰
I'm 66 and started with Black Honey when I was in college, and the product came in a little jar called a pot. Now I have it in the silver twist-up stick like she shows.
I have both a pot and a tube of Clinique Black Honey. Not sure what the hype is about, because I never loved the shade or the formulas. I always found Clinique's glosses in general to be too sticky for my taste, and they used to give Black Honey away with purchase all the time. I just don't get it. Can someone enlighten me, please? Prescriptives formulas were a different story: perfect in every way.
Clinique Richer Raisin is definitely a gorgeous alternative if you must have the actual Black Honey shade. I wasn’t a fan of the Nivea formula but the Burt Bees is a good drugstore option. I also heard the Dr Pepper Lipsmackers was a dupe too. Thanks for the suggestion!
I've heard people rave about black honey for years and haven't tried it myself. I HAVE tried the Nivea Blackberry and LOVE IT! And, after watching your review I think the fact that it is less brown it would suit my completion better. Sooo soothing on the lips... it's even replaced my Fresh Sugar Tint (I know it's a different colour) Poppy as my current go to lip.
Burt's Bees lip shimmer in *plum* is closer to red dahlia and black honey, and Revlon's rum raisin is relatively close. what I desperately miss was the best (and even better, texture-wise) dupe, Revlon's lip butter in fig jam. I wish they'd bring those back!
I’ve worn Burt’s Bees fig for so many years, but the most recent formulations in the various colored tubes are different. They made it a bit more matte and more red. 😣 I’m going to try plum. I have lip butter in fig jam but it’s quite dark and more opaque. How I wish they’d bring back lip butters. I loved pink truffle, but the current pink truffle has little similarity and hardly shows on the lips. I also have the Revlon shine rum raisin and it’s got more pink. I loved this video. So many options. Love chubby sticks and plan to get richest raisin next.
Yes!!! Finally Matilda addressing this trending topic hahaha i love your videos!!! Black Honey has been a very popular shade for a lipgloss and in my country is non existing so I'm glad to see various brands with a variety of options, thank you Matida!
I remember showing so many people Black Honey at Ulta when I worked there! So beautiful. I have it and love it, but personally I love the Burt Bees ‘Red Dahlia’ way more! Super hydrating, a little more sheer and inexpensive! These are so great! Thank you for sharing!
I absolutely love seeing Clinique get more recognition for their lip products. They used to make long lasting formulas for both lipstick and lip gloss but but both were discontinued several years ago :( Their lip products are definitely among the most comfortable ones available on the market. I also adore their Chubby Stick cream blushes, which I definitely think you should try out.
I used to wear Black Honey back in the early 2000s after hearing it was Cameron Diaz's go to shade. Was a total staple until it got overshadowed by newer purchases. Just ordered it again recently and can't wait to try it out again 20 years later. I love the natural depth tot adds to my lip color without feeling excessive..
Black Honey has been in my collection since 1995 and when I went to undergrad, the bookstore at school had a Clinique counter, so that was dangerous ;) It's the perfect my lips but bitten look for me!! I can't wait until we don't have to wear masks so I can blow through a few more tubes. Your nails look great as always!!
I love Nivea blackberry. It’s my everyday go-to lip product. The color lasts really well for a lip balm. I use it on my cheeks too sometimes. Also, the smell is amazing
I've bought black honey recently and i FELL in love. I have read many negative reviews about it not lasting long, not coloring people's lips well etc. But honestly, it works like a charm for me. I have never been able to wear a lipstick before because i never liked the way they looked on me so lip balms were always my go-to. Black honey is my favorite one so far. I am using it literally every day if i have to go out. It makes me feel so natural, it looks natural but it doesn't make me look like i didn't put any thought into my looks like some other lip balms, and it lasts just fine. %100 recommended if you like the natural look!
Clinique's Black Honey is the first colored lip product I owned back when I was in 7th grade in 1996. Love seeing it having a comeback moment. Thanks for the lovely recommendations.
My mum used to have a collection of brown shade lipsticks in the 90s. I never understood why and used to tell her to buy more in red shades ( as a 4 year old). 30 years later I'm searching for the dupe 😁
I subscribed to your channel about a year and a half ago. Got myself Chanel Rouge Coco Flash in a shade Moment in spring following your recommendations, and never looked back! I always struggled with lip color suiting my skin tone, and sheer brown shade instantly became my favourite. I've been getting compliments all year long! Thank you so much for what you do, Matilda♡♡♡ I'm 17 and it's lovely how many different age groups you united in this community♡
This is so nice to hear, thank you for sharing! I'm glad you've been enjoying Moment, sounds like it looks great on you ☺️🤎 Very lucky to have such a lovely varied community of viewers here! x
I have black honey and I love it. My most favorite look on the lips is when they are slightly tinted with a red/berry/mauve color..I just adore the look of it. I think it's very sultry, and looks so naturally pretty. I now plan on trying out the victoria beckman lip stain, since it caught my interest the most. c:
I feel like black honey had a youtube resurgence a few years ago because I remember buying it on recommendation from someone online and since then it has been my #1 fav! I've been through 3 tubes and I normally never go through lipstick. So happy to see more people trying this awesome shade.
Thank you Kelly! Burt's Bees Red Dahlia in this video could be a nice subtle option, otherwise you'll find some of my favourite sheer reds in my old Sheer Lipstick video 💄 x
Black honey always felt so personal to me, at a very young age falling in love with ads for it in a vogue or instyle magazine when I first loved lipstick at about 13 . Later loving it again when I found out it’s what Liv Tyler wore, always seeing Arwen as a symbol of beauty. I never forgot it and always went back to it. My heart sank a little when I saw it trend on tik tok but remembered this revival will keep it produced much longer
I would love to see another video using other famous shades/products that are in the same sort of color vibe because sometimes as good as the color is the formula may not be my cup of tea. Love to see that list on your blog updated if you find more. I actually just picked up one of the elf dupes for black honey the other day myself, the lip oil core in ecstatic. I found it leaned more berry, not enough red to get a really close look for black honey and not very flattering on me but I enjoyed the formula. It’s very sheer and comfortable. One of those lipsticks that you don’t mind reapplying even if it doesn’t last all day because of the feel. As always lovely video, always a pleasure to see your clean informative edits and lovely swatches. the overlays of the names on the swatches is so helpful for a recap at the end!
Thank you Alexandra! Absolutely, I'd be happy to keep sharing the other products in my collection that fit this colour theme. A part two (and maybe three) is on my filming list for the new year! 🖤🍯 x
i'm so glad this shade and in effect, clinique itself, is getting some love! i have the clinique cheek pop in cola and it is so beautiful, i think if you patted it on the lips it could almost pass for black honey. i will always associate that bobbi brown crushed lip with you :) i have it in ruby
aaaaaah such a classic. It was the only shade I wore when I was in high school in the 90s. My personal dupe recommendation is the Henné Organics lip tinted balm in the shade Intrigue 💫
This brings me back to the 90s! I was born in 1990 and my first type of makeup I ever owned as a kid was that bullet style balm same as the black honey! The berry-purples was so popular and some of them even had scents!
Finallyyyyyyyy I live in India and cannot get black honey here unless we order via sephora usa and it gets super expensive due to customs. But we do have nivea, burts bees and clinique chubby stick so I will the this
I just got into the Black Honey train. I'm 22 and saw that it was trending. I typically love a dark, vampy color- especially when it's sheer. I knew I had to try it, and now it's an everyday staple. The hype was definitely for a good reason.
I used to wear the mascara, eyeliner, lipstick, nail polish …of course the lip color. Never got so many compliments. This color makes my green eyes look like they could glow in the dark.
i love clinique's richer raisin!! i had gotten a full sample set of all the chubby sticks two christmases ago and realized that a more gentle, rosewood color worked best on me instead of the lively pinks. i got the full size richer raisin a year ago and i swear by it. i'd love to try black honey someday :) p.s. richer raisin really works well as a base. it feels great under lip glosses, lipsticks, or just on its own!
The Pacifica lip oil stick in crimson crush is a super good dupe for black honey. Clinique has been my moms go to makeup brand since her young adulthood so their products have always been a staple for me. I have gone through a couple different lip products that I hoped would be similar and this is the best one I have found
This was in my recommendation and IT IS PERFECT. I also loovee sheer lipstick, they are perfect for teens like me as they look natural. I also love brown/ nude/ mauve shades because they look flattering for my skin tone. Def. going to subscribe! ❤️
i’m have very fair skin and don’t wear super heavy make up just bold ish eyeliner, but OMG i found the last one hidden in the back of the rack in the biggest ‘boots’ store in my area and it was so worth it!!! It’s helped me dive into bolder lip shades with its build ability that really suit me and it has such a lovely consistency
Have had this for 20 yrs and wore it to so many different memorable events (I'm in my late 30s). Such a classic and will forever have it in my collection. Kids these days haha.
I owned Black Honey for the longest time and decluttered it last year - my natural lip colour is quite deep. So I opted for the Clinique Chubby stick in Raisin instead and ELF, surprisingly. I also found that NARS Afterglow lip balm in Wicked Ways and Milani's Black Cherry is quite nice. Thank you, as always, for your comprehensive and well-researched videos !
I always love Matilda's recommendations since I love makeup but I'm not always keen on makeup that can come across as quite heavy. Definitely found some of my favourites through her. ♥
My mom always had black honey on when I was growing up, and it was the first lipstick I ever wore. I love it for looks that I don’t really want a lot of lip color for, and I love that I can build it for a more dramatic effect.
I've been wearing it since 1992, so 18. I think it has regained popularity due to Emilia Clark advertising it for Clinique. I personally love Red Dahlia from Burt Bees, Revlon Lip Butter in Fig Jam (ugh, discontinued unfortunately), and Revlon Toasting Glasses (not really a true BH dupe, but gorgeous). I love this video, love shades like this, my favorite shades. MAC Sheer Plum is discontinued.
Covergirl bliss you berry tinted lip balm is a good alternative too👍 i dont know exactly how similar its shade is but based off this video it looks to be more similar in tone than all these plus its quite cheap. Its usually my go to for carrying around and reapplying.
Me, who has half of these : Hmmm maybe Mom had a point when she said I had the same colour. Wonderful video as always, Matilda, these videos are keeping me safe during Mid-week !!!
Omg, i had the clinique black honey almost 10 years ago. And now became a hipe. How crazy. Is good, but at the time i didn't wanted to buy it again cause i had tried the Nivea one , wich is similar/identical. And I liked nivea better. Now I don't care much... prefer other products. Its insane how its show this kind of video to me all the time, just because i like makeup videos.
I adore Black Honey and have been using it for over 20 years - but as of last year I’m committed to only buying cruelty free brands so really excited to try Bobbi Brown’s Blackberry xxx
You’re the best person to do that kind of video! I stopped myself from buying the Dior lip glow in mahogany during the Sephora sale but you make it very hard to resist any longer! Might be a gift from me to me for Christmas…
I remember black honey from reading Allure and Glamour UK magazines I saved my pocket money for. I would always beg my mom for a tube but she always said it looked too vampy (in the tube) and it was just a lip balm haha. Not worth the money ($$$ in the Philippines) now I think my closest dupe is Revlon glass shine in toasting glasses which looks like a taupe brown berry. Loved this video Matilda!
Thank you for sharing your Black Honey history Yola 😄🖤 I loved collecting magazines when I was young too... I probably saw this shade without realising! x
My all time favorite lipstick. I have been wearing this for over 20 years and always have three tubes. One for my vanity , one for my purse and one in my vanity drawer as a back up. I had no idea there was a shortage! I have a tiny lipstick brush that I use to get down into the tube to get every last bit left when it's worn down. And it truly looks good on every skin tone.
The blackhoney dupe I usually wear is Apivita Lip Care Chestnut. It's not mauvey/rosey enough to be considered a proper blackhoney dupe, it's a warm browney lip balm, but I love it so much that I can almost forget blackhoney.
I was watching this video yesterday when I got a notification that black honey was back in stock at my store! Matilda’s videos are a good luck charm 🤣💖
I’m so happy I watched this video. I’ve always wanted Black Honey but this type of “berry-adjacent” (I’m sorry I’m terrible with colours) stained sheer lipsticks always look fuchsia on me and this particular one is outrageously prized in my country (for being a tiny thin bullet of sheer colour I mean) so I just didn’t dare. I made do dabbing a smidge of opaque matte vampy lipstick like Velvet Midnight on and then sometimes using some lip balm on top, looks very nice yes, but sometimes I don’t want to fuss so much. I honestly had no idea that Lisa Eldridge Painterly, which I own and adore and doesn’t go fuchsia bright on me would swatch so similarly, it isn’t the same magical effect when the bullet looks almost black, and I still want one that has more purple because why not look like I’ve been eating poisonous berries if I can, but I’m so glad! … I might also have just put an order for thr VBB Bisou stain.
I remember having out of nowhere (probably snatched it from my mom's box of ex-balms) a mint-green thin case lip balm that was a true black honey tone, it was the most beautiful sheer color for 17-20 year old me, i kept it for that long, took it everywhere, it even looked gorgeous post-crying lol. I never knew the name or brand, it had none, even the smell was like honey. I miss it, it got lost on a punk concert back then.
I would occasionally buy black honey back in the late 80s, but it actually looks a bit too brown against my cool and rosy complexion .. The lipstick that did the perfect job for me back then was Max Factor’s Transparent Burgundy. I dabbed it on and it was the perfect just-bitten MLBB. It’s been discontinued for years and I’ve never been able to find a shade as perfect… The quest continues…
brilliant. i wear these sort of colours myself. and find it hard to get the right shades. some don't even resemble the colours they're supposed to be. keep them coming.
Eeeek I clicked so fast on this! One of my all-time favorite lipsticks, thank goodness I still have a ton left in my tube right now. It’s probably one of the only lipsticks I’ve completely used up and repurchased multiple times!
this is so good to know! ive been lusting over black honey and searching avidly for dupes but i already own red dahlia and i didnt realise it was so close! fantastic day
@@matildaonvideo update: I was browsing makeup online at midnight and saw black honey was back in stock on boots with a small discount so I just went for it! Also, as an aside, we have a cherry tree in our back garden and make a batch of jam every year. Now let's just say I misinterpreted instructions when cooking down the fruit and ended up burning it a bit. The jam was still edible, Judy very set and slightly caramel-y but!! The jam is EXACTLY the same colour as black honey! It looks basically black in the jar but then a warmer burnt berry when you spread it on toast! So now you know "burnt cherry jam" is a very accurate shade description of black honey, with evidence :)
I've been using Black Honey since the 80's, but am always looking for a similar color thats more moisturizing for my dry lips ( the Almost Lipstick has none!) So far the ELF cosmetics color mentioned has my vote, but I look forward to trying the Dior Mahogany.

Anything she didn't want she'd give to me or my sister and she hated this color!! Said it made her look old lmao But it became my new everyday go-to! Gotta repurchase when it comes back in stock. If ever lol
I remember my Mum had some of those Clinique gift with purchase sets too Riley! 😄 x
SAME. My intro to makeup as a teen was through those kits.
Growing up (during my teens) my grandma would give me lipsticks to try out. I’ll never forget this shade. 10 years later here we are!
Lovely to see another generation enjoying (and ensuring it stays on the shelves!) 🥰
This is so sweet! What a wonderful memory with her ☺️💄 Thank you for sharing it! x
So fun! My first purchase of Black Honey was in the late 70's...when it came in a pot! 😉 I almost always have one in my purse, plus a back-up.
So excited to hear that Lu! The Black Honey gloss pot purchasers were way ahead of the trend 😄👏 x
Thanks for the suggestion!
oh yeah! I used to wear the Dr. Pepper all the time for that reason and completely forgot about it, haha.
Glad you're a Richer Raisin fan too Brandie! Thanks for watching 😄 x
That Dr. Pepper Lip smackers is the truth.
I had no idea Black Honey has been so iconic for so long! And here I thought it was my little secret! 💁🏻♀️
same 😂😂
It's everyone's secret product now Krystal! 😉 x
Interesting, thanks for sharing! 👍 I hadn't seen those shades in my dupes research. Someone else mentioned Fig Jam, it sounded lovely! x
I have this! And back-ups really of all the colors. I was obsessed, and yes they need to come back!
Fig Jam was the damn bomb, I even bought some on Ebay because it was so damn good.
Rum raisin is so good
I’ve worn Burt’s Bees fig for so many years, but the most recent formulations in the various colored tubes are different.
Thank you! I'm glad this helped you learn about some other options ☺️🖤 x
I love how you even pay attention to your nails ❣️
Always! 😉💅 x
I have an old Chubby Stick blush in Amp'd Up Apple! 😄🍎 x
Thank you Stacey, I bet it looks gorgeous on you! Also, a bookstore with a Clinique counter?! Wow 😱😍 x
What college did you go to that you got to have Clinique at your campus bookstore?
@@Iworkwithnitwits University of Missouri. This was 25 years ago 🙃♥️
Kansas didn't have a clinique counter.
Is it moisturising? And I'm guess since you've had it, it's worth $$$?
I love Nivea blackberry. It’s my everyday go-to lip product. The color lasts really well for a lip balm. I use it on my cheeks too sometimes. Also, the smell is amazing
Glad you enjoy it Tábata! ☺️🍇 x
I appreciate you matching your nails to the shade!
Thank you! 😄💅 x
I love the matching nails!! Everything in this video is so aesthetically pleasing 🎉
%100 recommended if you like the natural look!
love how to the point and descriptive, yet warm and calming matilda is in all of her videos. 💕
Lainey! You're too kind 🥰 Thank you for the lovely feedback! x
This is without a doubt THE BEST “Black Honey” video I’ve seen. I truly appreciate the effort. Happy holidays to all!
Wow, thank you so much! This really means a lot 🥰 Happy holidays to you too (one year later haha, just catching up on comments!) x
Clinique's Black Honey is the first colored lip product I owned back when I was in 7th grade in 1996. Love seeing it having a comeback moment. Thanks for the lovely recommendations.
Thank you Lizzy! What a special lipstick memory ☺️💄 x
My mum used to have a collection of brown shade lipsticks in the 90s. I never understood why and used to tell her to buy more in red shades ( as a 4 year old).
30 years later I'm searching for the dupe 😁
I remember buying and falling in love with Black Honey after watching one of your videos years ago. Now we’ve come full circle 💞
Love this full circle lipstick moment! ☺️💄 Thank you Enna x
Thank you so much for what you do, Matilda♡♡♡
I'm 17 and it's lovely how many different age groups you united in this community♡
I now plan on trying out the victoria beckman lip stain, since it caught my interest the most. c:
Thank you for watching Estel! Very well described ☺️ x
I feel like black honey had a youtube resurgence a few years ago because I remember buying it on recommendation from someone online and since then it has been my #1 fav! I've been through 3 tubes and I normally never go through lipstick. So happy to see more people trying this awesome shade.
I've been searching for the perfect everyday 'natural' red. You have fuelled my obsession for red brown lips. Thanks. 💋
Thank you Kelly! Burt's Bees Red Dahlia in this video could be a nice subtle option, otherwise you'll find some of my favourite sheer reds in my old Sheer Lipstick video 💄 x
@@matildaonvideo Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check it out. Looking forward to the next installment. 😁
this was such a lovely watch. i don't even want a black honey dupe nor do i really like the shade on myself. you've made me want to pick one up!
That's a great way of looking at it Bailey! I'm sure Black Honey will be around for many years to come ☺️🖤 x
I love these comments talking about their youth and how this beautiful lip shade could bring so many women together ❤️ so wholesome
It really is wholesome! So lovely reading Black Honey memories from different generations ☺️🖤 x
I think the elf dupe for black honey is supposed to be the sheer slick lipstick in the shade black cherry?
@@khanhuyen3068 I've listed both Elf dupe shades in the description box 👍 You can see Amanda Z compare them in her review! x
@@khanhuyen3068 there's two from elf that i've seen listed in articles as a dupe for black honey the lip oil core is one, that's the other.
loved the aesthetic of this video!!!
i'm so glad this shade and in effect, clinique itself, is getting some love! i have the clinique cheek pop in cola and it is so beautiful, i think if you patted it on the lips it could almost pass for black honey. i will always associate that bobbi brown crushed lip with you :) i have it in ruby
Thank you Emma, I agree! I'm glad more people are discovering it ☺️🖤 x
Thank you for actually showing the packaging! I need the visuals
Glad you enjoyed seeing all of the product details! ☺️🖤 x
aaaaaah such a classic. It was the only shade I wore when I was in high school in the 90s. My personal dupe recommendation is the Henné Organics lip tinted balm in the shade Intrigue 💫
Love hearing that you wore it in high school Melanie! Ps. That shade is already in the rest of my 'close to Black Honey colours' product pile 😉 x
Thanks Melanie ordered henna organics Intrigue today!!
@@clover4me awesome! hope you like it!
But we do have nivea, burts bees and clinique chubby stick so I will the this
Hope the swatches of me testing different dupes are helpful! ☺️👍 x
The Fuller Fig chubby stick from Clinique has been my go-to for years. Beautiful color. Love that this unique shade is getting popular again.
Love that colour too Kit! ☺️ x
i love clinique's richer raisin!!
i had gotten a full sample set of all the chubby sticks two christmases ago and realized that a more gentle, rosewood color worked best on me instead of the lively pinks. i got the full size richer raisin a year ago and i swear by it.
i'd love to try black honey someday :)
p.s. richer raisin really works well as a base. it feels great under lip glosses, lipsticks, or just on its own!
What a find! So satisfying scooping up the last product on a display 👏 x
Have had this for 20 yrs and wore it to so many different memorable events (I'm in my late 30s). Such a classic and will forever have it in my collection. Kids these days haha.
You were well ahead of the trend Angela 😉🖤 Thank you for sharing! x
Thank you Tianna, so nice to hear that! ☺️ x
Glad you're a fan of this colour group Erin! 😄🖤 x
MAC Sheer Plum was absolutely fabulous! They need to bring it back
This video is very well done, your voice is so relaxing too!
Thank you! Really appreciate that ☺️ x
Covergirl bliss you berry tinted lip balm is a good alternative too👍 i dont know exactly how similar its shade is but based off this video it looks to be more similar in tone than all these plus its quite cheap. Its usually my go to for carrying around and reapplying.
It's very, very similar and also Bliss you berry lasts longer. Definitely the best dupe for Black honey. 😊
I’ve been wearing black honey for at least 25 years. I love it.
Me, who has half of these : Hmmm maybe Mom had a point when she said I had the same colour.
Wonderful video as always, Matilda, these videos are keeping me safe during Mid-week !!!
At least you're consistent Nuzhat! 😄🖤 x
BEEN WEARING CLINIQUE BLACK HONEY SINCE I BEEN 13... NOW I'M 64...
I adore Black Honey and have been using it for over 20 years - but as of last year I’m committed to only buying cruelty free brands so really excited to try Bobbi Brown’s Blackberry xxx
More Bobbi Brown suggestions coming in the next video on this theme Ceri! 😉💄 x
You’re the best person to do that kind of video!
I stopped myself from buying the Dior lip glow in mahogany during the Sephora sale but you make it very hard to resist any longer! Might be a gift from me to me for Christmas…
Thank you! This was so fun to make 😄🖤 I'll be working on part two (maybe three)! x
Black Honey is my favorite sheer lip color shade, but I don't think that I could wear a dupe of it. The formula is just so perfect.
Thanks for sharing Lori! Love hearing that you always have a trio of Black Honey on hand 😄🖤 x
i really appreciate the wide price range of the dupes.. it’s nice to see dior and burt’s bees in the same video LOL
Gotta love having high/low balm options! 🖤🍯 x
Your colour descriptions are so good, like you point out the differences i can see but can't name!
Thank you so much Nia! I always try my best to come up with different ways to describe shades ☺️🖤 x
Yay! Perfect timing 😄 x
Thank you so much! So happy to hear this helped you see Painterly in a new light. Enjoy your VBB stain too! 💄🖤 x
I BEEN DYING FOR VIDEOS LIKE THESE!!! and nobody makes them! I been obsessed with the red/berry tones! Thank you a tone!
So glad you enjoyed it, thank you! 😄🖤 x
6:46 "THAT IS MaHoGaNY" -Effie Trinket.
Ooh I love the sound of that colour Anna! Why do our 'perfect' shades always end up being discontinued 😭 x
i dunno if its on purpose but i love the fact that ur nails are matching the lipsticks!!
brilliant. i wear these sort of colours myself. and find it hard to get the right shades. some don't even resemble the colours they're supposed to be. keep them coming.
Thank you! Keep an eye out for part two in future 😉💄 x
Eeeek I clicked so fast on this! One of my all-time favorite lipsticks, thank goodness I still have a ton left in my tube right now. It’s probably one of the only lipsticks I’ve completely used up and repurchased multiple times!
Thank you Natalie! Glad you're a big Black Honey fan 🖤🍯 x
this is so good to know! ive been lusting over black honey and searching avidly for dupes but i already own red dahlia and i didnt realise it was so close! fantastic day
There you go Ellie! Enjoy wearing it 😄🖤 x
Good luck on your similar colour search Heidi! I'll be back with more suggestions in the new year 😄👍 x
I have been wearing Black Honey for over 12 years, every fall and winter. It goes with everything - I love it!
Love this lipstick loyalty Amanda! Thanks for sharing 😄💄 x

I love Black Honey but hate that it's not cruelty free so finding a good dupe was important but difficult!! I do really like Honest beauty tinted balm in plum drop.
The Glossier, Undone Beauty and Lisa Eldridge options in this video are cruelty-free 💄 I'll have to check out that Honest Beauty shade, thank you! x
My mom just ordered this for me. I'm excited to see how it looks!
