I thought to myself, "Didn't Matilda make a video like this recently?" And then you said, "It's been two and half years..." 😭I can't believe it's already been so long! I love these videos so much I tend to watch them on repeat anyway. Favorite lip balm: Cocokind's Matcha Moisture Stick, which is just coconut oil, beeswax, and matcha powder. My lips have been so smooth and I rarely feel the need to exfoliate anymore. Cocokind has a fantastic SPF lip tint as well.
It’s been 2 and a half years?? I revisit your videos whenever I’m looking to shop because I find that your recommendations have this timeless quality. They’re not necessarily trendy, but things that one can use, enjoy and cherish irrespective of what social media tells us we should be liking. That is what always draws me to your content. I never feel like I’m watching an “old” video when it’s yours xx
OMG Matilda, that bioderma lipbalm is bananas!!!! I'm using up my first stick and I already have 3 spares (sold in duos on most pharmacies in Montreal). Sooooo good. Will try the Caudalie too but I think that'll be my forever lipbalm!
Your videos convinced me to buy the lanolips all over balm, and it has quite literally saved/healed my split, scabby dermatitis ridden knuckles this winter. I don't think I could survive another winter without it.
Ohh Grace, I'm so glad to hear it's been a huge help for you! 👏❤️ Was that the Golden Dry Skin Salve or their All Over / Everywhere Cream? They have so many different products but they're all so useful! x
Please don't ever use Lanolips, their company name is derived from the word lanolin, which they use in their products. Lanolin is fucking terrible for your skin, you should not be putting that stuff on your body.
I begrudgingly admit La Mer has my favorite lip balm! I’ve tried to ditch it for something cheaper but every winter it finds its way back into heavy rotation. The smell is divine, too! Nothing else compares, even By Terry!
@@matildaonvideo I actually really didn’t like Bader! I finished it, but nearly threw it out I disliked it so much. I might be in the minority on that one.
I love aquaphor ! I have a lip repair tube in every car and purse and bathroom. It works great and feels great. I love that it’s not glossy looking. I’ve been trying out the Paula’s choice lip treatment, it’s been great, but it’s in a pot and I find it unnecessary compared to aquaphor I just like that it has lanolin. But I’m thinking lanolips it the better alternative, so I’m going to try that out based on your recommendation. I’ve also been enjoying the naturium balms as well when I want a plush glossy look. They actually feel nourishing, unlike every other glossy lip I’ve ever tried! Just put 2 lanolips in my Amazon. And wanted to get a stick of Caudalie but it looks like it’s not easily available in the us 😢
As someone on a budget my favorite lip balm is the basic Nivea ones! It’s a nice thick texture, spreadable but not prone to melting in your pocket like some other lip balms. Vaseline lip products are also really nice for use before bed- less convenient on the go though.
Love the bioderma lip balm! Has a slightly thinner feel to it but its super comfortable to wear under lip products since it doesnt feel too thick. I love the yummy smell of it too
Caudalie conditioning balm and the Go to lip balm are my faves! Burts Bees and Lanolips are also fab and are probably my 3rd and 4th faves! Also these days I am using the Mecca Cosmetica Lip de Luscious and it is fast becoming a brand new fave!
I've tried the Caudalie balm after whenever it was that matilda had it on favourites, I got it as a holiday pack with an handcream. It is truly good. Also the Vin du Rose handcream is beautiful. Now I have the Lanolips 101 ointment and a tinted one. They are both absolutely good!
Thanks so much for the updated lip balm video! I'll have to try By Terry Baume De Rose someday. I've been using Aquaphor Lip Repair, and Vanicream Lip Protectant SPF 30 for sun protection. I also use the BeauteHacks Moisture & Collagen Booster Sleeping Lip Mask from Amazon sometimes at night. It's super moisturizing! 😁
Blistex has one in a little blue pot and it smells like menthol it’s amazing. Really wakes me up in the morning. I live in Scotland so it’s often chilly and this helps with any colds. Also a fan of lanolips 101 ointment. Still to see that stick version.
Lovely balms! I'm currently using a store brand organic lip balm because they're adequately nourishing, dirt-cheap, only have a few ingredients, and come in a three pack, but I'm looking for more of a luxurious balm that's still reasonably priced, so this came at the perfect time.
My tried and true is definitely Fresh Advance Therapy Lip Treatment! I can't justify the price all the time, but it's worth it once a year during the winter months. I also love the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask at night. My budget (and the one I use most before and with lipstick) is the Vaseline Lip Therapy with shea butter!
My go-to is Nooni Applebutter Lip Mask. My lips get used to lip balms so I rotate what I use, but I always go back to that one and use it the most. I have not tried the ByTerry lip mask yet, but your review inspired me to order it. It would be really interesting to hear you review some of the pricier balms. I've always been intrigued if they are worth the hype and how they compare to drugstore brands.
I enjoy the Caudalie one as well! The other two that I used and loved were the Les Beiges healthy glow lip balm from Chanel and my all-time favorite, Farmacy Honey Butter lip, so very hydrating and comforting to use. I highly recommend these! ❤🥰
By Terry is good stuff but Lanolips is horrible. They use lanolin in all their products, meaning they're putting an ingredient that actively dries out your skin and clogs your pores.
the klavuu lip sleeping back is my all-time fav. so thick and nourishing and smells like cupcakes. no matter how dry my lips are it always makes my lips the most plump and soft it's ever been.
One of favorite kind of videos. Love Blistex as well- we mostly get the stick version. For a good lip treatment, love using our own Pure Fiji lip scrub and lip mask as an overnight treatment.
Love your lip balms and skin care videos! Thank your for introducing Blistex lip Conditioner pots . I have used up at least 4 pots since I first learnt about it from one of your videos. And is definitely my favorite lip care ever!
Blistex and Aquaphor are my go-to lip products. My favorite of all time is the Aritaum Ginger Lip Mask, but sadly it has either been discontinued or is no longer sold internationally.
love this video!! much needed :) i personally use the Laneige and it’s been life changing for me! i hope to try many, many more soon though (you can never have enough lip balms!)
I’ve tried Lanolips in the past, but had an allergic reaction. My favorite stick balm is Vaseline lip therapy. My favorite pot is Laneige. My lips are extremely dry, so I usually have to layer tinted balm over the more moisturizing balm, if I want a little color.
I tried zillions of lip balms when hunting for something that actually hydrated my finicky lips rather than drying them out and was having no luck when my sister recommended I try the Bobbi Brown lip balm in a pot. I think I tried it once, and I've been using it ever since (easily for seven years now). Definitely my holy grail, and I always make sure to have backups on hand! I would have never tried it if it weren't for my sister, and I'm so glad I did!
Love this list, thank you so much 🙏💖 My favourite at the moment is Jouer overnight conditioning lip mask, the one in the giant pot! It’s cushiony and works amazing as a lip balm, night mask and lipstick base 💋🙌🏼💕
They're so dreamy Pramodha, but I know Summer Fridays is delicious too! 😍 I haven't tried it since they repackaged and launched new shades. Do you have a favourite tint? x
the bioderma one is my OG. I've been using for like, 5 years and still having one on my purse, one on my desk, one on my skincare zone and many spares. at night I usually layer the lucas pawpaw ointment on top of the bioderma as the oinment 'slug' the moisture of the lip balm. this video of you makes me want to try all the lanolips haha. really enjoy your videos. can;t believe it's already been 2.5 years since your OG lip balm video
I recently discovered the la Roche posay lip balm and it has done wonders for my lips. I slather on a thick layer every night before bed and I wake up with plump, soft lips. I found it also does an awesome job at healing split lips too. Would love to give the bioderma one a try tho.
Ooh interesting Leni, thanks for the tip! I'd trust French pharmacy brands with my life at this point haha, and I love LRP's Cicaplast Baume B5 as a barrier repair cream so I'll have to try the lip balm too 👍💙 x
@@matildaonvideo It's the only lip balm that has ever had any kind of effect on mine. They used it to prep the models badly chapped lips for lipstick in the professional makeup school I went to as well!
You are absolutely right, lip balm is a personal thing - but more specifically, it’s a skin/chemistry thing imho. I’ve tried some of the brands in the comments here and it just basically sat on top of my lips. Will try Hermes, La Mer, and Caudalie next, but so far, Dior and good old Cherry Chapstick have been my go-to balms.
My hands-down all-time fave has to be First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm. It’s a short wide pot and a little goes a long way, almost matte looking but so smooth and a touch minty. It’s the only lip balm I can still feel in the morning after putting it on before bed.
Thanks for sharing, I’ll be trying a couple of your suggestions, my go to is the Bobbi Brown lip balm, lipstick goes over it beautifully without making it bleed x
I use the original Burt's Bees for out and about (I keep it in a little sleeve on my keychain so I don't leave it somewhere and wash it... lost too many tubes this way) and the Laneige lip sleeping mask at night. I have very dry lips that always crack and this combo has kept them from cracking and peeling
Still holding onto the last little squeeze of the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm! I use it more as an overnight lip mask and almost never need to reach for it in the day time.
Hey Matilda! Another lovely well done video! Blistex has been a staple in my family for years as well! Especially the mint version in the blue tube as I remember! I’ll definitely have to try that little pot version! 💄😄
I got Lanolips and byTerry thanks to you! The byTerry liquid one felt really strong for me, like i was chewing some rose petals 😅 but it was hella nourishing! So i wish they would bring out a lesser scented version (a la EDT or EDC rather than this EDP 🤣). Lanolips though !! BANG ON. i love it soooo much.. the rose gold 101 is my go to in my bag, it's the perfect summer shade, lips and flushed cheeks ! And i looove how full and moisturised my lips feel for hours! My personal favorites are: -L'Occitane 10% Shea Butter Ultra Rich Lip Balm in a tube (i would love for you to make a video on L'occitane especially their hand creams with gorgeous scents btw, plus their shea hand cream is the single best thing in the winter if you can get them in AU) -Nuxe reve de miel ( especially at night in winter oof the best😮💨 this one i know won't come off easily as the other softer ones it feels like a longwearing/waterproof lipstick that you wont have to check and reapply every 5 minutes.. plus it's matte so i don't look like i just ate greasy chicken 😅and you only need a tiny amount if you dont want too much of a waxy feel, and it still lasts all day and night 😇) - burt's bees pomegranate -blistex lip relief cream -sebamed stick spf30 -Laneige lip sleeping mask (less of a lip balm function for me but i love how plump my lips look in the morning) -bioderma atoderm levre stick -byTerry liquid one (I'm trying to not get into my tinted ones coz we'd be here all day 😭😭😭)
What. A. List!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share. Very happy to hear you loved Lanolips and Baume de Rose (despite the eau de parfum intensity 😂🌹). I haven't really tried any L'Occitane products surprisingly enough, but I know I need to in future! x
@@matildaonvideo thanks for reading my rambling and replying lol😅 since it's my favorite brand for scents and treating yourself and I currently have 2/3s of their store in my collection, i'm gonna faithfully wait for a potential future l'occitane video.. whenever it may be, if ever😇
I've been a Burt's Bees Vanilla kid for years - the mintiness of the original irritates my lips, and it's more waxy than buttery or oily or otherwise generically emollient, so the texture doesn't always get the job done either, but the flavored ones are softer (some to the point of not protecting at all) and Vanilla soothes and protects my lips while also being a neutral enough taste/smell to not interfere with anything I eat or drink and also not distract me. Lately I've also gotten into the Cherry and Caramel flavors, and I still miss the old Chocolate Blueberry that got discontinued, but Vanilla is everywhere and works great. The only lip splurge I've ever liked was Glossier Bomb Dot Com, whose Mint is actually very soothing for my lips and whose Coconut is deliciously buttery in both aroma and texture. My only other splurge, the Seed Organics lip balm, kind of sucked; the texture was both sort of flaky, like it had too much wax, and melty, like it had too much oil, so it neither protected nor moisturized particularly well, and the cardboard tube was a nightmare. I also liked the Neutrogena Hydroboost Lip Conditioning Treatment okay, but I can no longer find it in stores and I mostly used that as a sleep treatment rather than a full time lip balm. Ooh, wait! I don't think of it as a splurge, which is silly, because the price does keep me from buying it, but the frank body lip balm (and scrub) are definite favorites; texture, taste, and function off the charts, but I hate the scrape-y threads on the opening - they have to be there because it's a screw top, but they make direct application uncomfortable, and I like a lip balm I don't have to play middle man for, so I mostly use it as a stay at home balm.
Thank you for this mini essay Jaimie, I can tell how much you love your balms! 😄👏 Coconut is one of my favourite Glossier flavours too, but Chocolate Blueberry sounds like it would have been amazing... x
There was a time when light balms did their job for my lips but from the last couple of years only thick balms do it for me! I loveeeee the lano lips 101 and glossier lipbalms, they are only ones I can trust for an overnight moisturization. Is blistex that thick too ?
My favorite is the Jack Black intense therapy lip balm. I've given up on other lip balms since they do it all (perfect over liquid lipsticks, perfect texture, fragranced but not overly). I can't stand their stick formate but the tube is perfection.
I love the by Terry balms and use both, however I love all their Rose products. I’m definitely going to take a look at the Lanolips. I use a lot of balms and one of my favourites is the Pat McGrath Clear balm which I always have in my bag
My cheapest tubes that I carry around are usually either one of the raw sugar balms or the sunbum coco balms. (NOT the sunbum SPF balms… those are terrible) At night I like to use a liquid of some kind. I used Lanolips for a while but I like something thinner in the summer. I last left a store with a “lip karma” for Sahajan and was pleasantly surprised. Also the Ilia Lip Wrap is great but I wish it was scented!
I’m not gonna lie, I am one to be influenced. Used almost every highly ranked, high-end TikTok trendy balm in the book but the balm I keep reaching for that is always in my jeans pockets when I need it is the cucumber mint Burt’s bees 😭 I hate Burt’s bees personally, but this is the one scent/flavor that I lucked out with the factory texture. It’s so creamy and actually moisturizing and doesn’t leave my lips sticky at all. My HG is the dr bronner’s peppermint balm stick though. So so good. And aquaphor on top or right after a shower/before bed.
How do you always time your videos so well to what I’m looking for?!? That Blistex I find hard to find in Canada. Lip medex is more common. Reminds me of my favourite ride or die Carmex pot. After watching years of you raving about by Terry, I think it’s by time I try it out. Great video as usual. Never disappoints
Milani rose butter (10$) is supposed to be a by terry rose lip balm dupe. I've repurchased twice. I use a heavy layer at night and in the morning it's still there!!
I’ve been stalling on trying lanolips for almost a year now, and this video convinced me to finally take the plunge. I love the salve. I really enjoy thick, enveloping lip products and that’s exactly what the salve is. I admit I’m a sucker for vanilla scents, and this is what I hoped that Summer Fridays would’ve been. Plus, considering how much comes in the tube, it’s actually quite a bit cheaper per ounce than a lot of other lip products.
Personally, I am in love with the scents of the Glossier range (Birthday Cake and Mint at the top of the 4 I've tried) but that would be something that I just pop on through the day. For overnight, I reach for the Laneige sleeping mask (either in Mint Choco or Apple Lime but I want to try Gummy Bear if I see it at Marshall''s) only if it is just to wake up with smoother lips. For ultimate repair, I use Bag Balm wich originated in Vermont. For those of you that know the smell, I am sorry and for those that don't, it smells like rubber tires and something else that I have yet to place. Despite the smell, this is a great multitasking salve for scrapes, chafeing, cracks, and lips if you really need it.
Right there with you Allison, Glossier's flavours are delicious 🎂 Sadly Laneige didn't do much for me but they've nailed the flavour expansion idea too! x
Big fellow lip balm fan here. For a luxurious lip balm moment I love my Blue Lagoon rejuvenating lip balm, which is gorgeous and keeps my lips hydrated for a long time. I also love some of my k-beauty lip balms that are more affordable when I’m on the go like the Sioris and Dr Ceuricle lip balms.
Right now I have 3 lipbalms, the one I want to use up it's a cult product, and it works very well for me is the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, I put a bit in a small tin at a time and I'm trying to use it up, but it's not my favorite, just part of my project use it up, but I enjoy it very much! Right now my favorite pot lip balm is Leneige Sleeping Mask in Gummy Bear, it makes me happy when I put it on, I like it as a sleep mask or lip prep before color, same with the 8 hour cream. Then my favorite stick lip balm is one of your favorites! The Bioderma Atoderm Lipbalm stick! I love the smell and the light texture, but it truely works, I love french pharmacy! My daughter likes it too, it's not one that feels uncomfortable, thank you for sharing your favorites!
Summer fridays lip butter balm is my FAVORITE! I know you said it didnt work for you but oh my god! Never had a balm actually make my lips soft like this one does
Long time Baume de Rose Stan as well here ❤ my other top favourite would be Canmake Lip Serum - similar nourishing/repairing and smoothing like BDR but in a squeeze tube and very mild if any fragrance Also special mention to the Ultra Violette sheen screen 💯
love this video matilda!! for the blistex pot, in the usa would that sliver pot be equivalent to the lip medex (blue) pot here or the DCT pot (tan) one?
Hurraw! Balms are my favorite. I really enjoy their Wintermint or just mint flavor and for sleep, their Moonbalm is the best. It's vegan and cruelty-free.
Lovely video 🥰 I have only tried Blistex from the ones you've mentioned. The by Terry looks wonderful but is so expensive 🙈 No matter what Lip Balm I try, I always go back to one from a local farmers market. Ist a mixture of Propolis, Eucerin (I suspect Aquaphor) and Beeswax. Its in a pot though, so not convenient for on the go. And it doesn't have a very pleasant smell or taste, but the result is unmatched. I'm currently testing a Eucerin lip balm, so far I do like it ☺
I’ve already commented this once, but that was on the one two years ago, so I’ll say it again… *I LOVE the MCoBeauty Mega Balm* First of all, she’s THICC and pretty tall so she never runs out, she comes in multiple scents (coconut, peach and watermelon last time I checked) and she’s SOOOOO moisturising!!!!! Also, I used to get a bunch of dry patches around my mouth from so much mask-wearing, but this lip balm healed all those dry patches! It’s my all-time favourite lip balm 😍
Message received Lara! 😄👍 Adding this to my list to check out next time I'm in Woolies or going past Big W. Do you have a favourite flavour? Thank you! x
I would love to try caudalie, by terry and bioderma. I have been using Loccitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm in a tube for years. I have dry chapped lips and it always comes rescue me ❤
The Elizabeth Arden 8h cream lip protectant is amazing. I prefer the stick form but i'm sure the pot or even the 8 hour cream should work wonders on the lips. I found that the Rimmel lip balm from the Kate Moss collection (it's in a white tube) is a very close dupe for the Elizabeth Arden lip protectant stick, so that's an idea ;)
I make my own lip balms using beeswax, mango butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and essential oils. For night lip mask, I use Lansinoh nipple cream (amazing!)
I've got 2 favourites: EOS lip balm - keep this by my bedside, love the strawberry flavour and find it creamy and soothing. My other favourite is Mr Kerrison's Honey Lip Balm from Beamish Museum in the UK - I'm not sure if they ship to other countries but if you're ever over here it's worth a visit, I use this lip balm on my nails too and always have a pot in my bag, does hydrate and smooth lips very quickly and has a lovely honey and lemon flavour!
The Summer Fridays balms are an absolute fav, especially on the go with their tube applicator. My new fav is the poppy shade but classic vanilla will always have a place in my bag.
Ooh yes Kristin, I do enjoy the original too but found the flavour more impactful than the results. I haven't tried it since they repackaged them so I'll have to give them another go! 👍 x
I wish I could enjoy rose flavored balms, because I loved the texture of the byterry balm. My favorite lately has been the naturium phyto glow lip mask. My favorite lux is the la mer”the lip balm”. I hate the taste of most spf balms so I’m open to any suggestions!
Would have to be Mecca's Lip De-Luscious Treatment balm. I get my mum to either bring it over or ship it to me when I run out as I live in London now - perfect for that winter weather! Still on the hunt for the perfect balm to throw in the bottom of a bag. I'm thinking I'll have to stockpile Blistex when I'm back in Aus soon x
My favorite lip mask in the world was Bite's Agave lip mask before they reformulated it! I think I may have bought out a whole warehouse of the stuff. Thick as honey, so moisturizing, the prettiest sheen on the lips, and you never had to worry about it vanishing in the night. The new version is just not quite the same. I curse the skies! ;)
& now they are no more so I can't even get the new version. I still have 2 (almost empty) tubes of their lip balm....& am now trying to find something else...
You're absolutely right! the only thing I have found somewhat similar to the Bite's lip mask is the Ilia one, but if you find something else, let me know!
my favourite lip balm ever is by Weleda. It is called Everon and sold at drugstore prices here in Germany. I've been repuchasing it for almost 20 years. Very emollient, smells like beeswax, rose and vanilla. And the stick format is very practical, I have one in every bag. My other balm is the 101 Ointment Original by Lanolips- a bit more of a splurge, but it lasts me about a year.
Wow! That sounds SO good Sophie **books flight to Germany** 😂✈️ I love Weleda's Skin Food Light formula so I hope I can find their balm in Australia too x
10 minutes ago before going to bed I put the Lanolips 101 ointment coconut that I bought on your recommendation. I love it! A staple for me is also the baume rêve de miel from Nuxe in a pot. I think you would love it! Great video as always! ❤
So nice to hear that! I was really tossing up between the Peach and Coconut on which tube to include here, but the Coconut stick is great too 😅 The Nuxe pot didn't do much for me a few years ago but maybe I should give it another try! x
My go-to has ALWAYS been First Aid Beauty's pot balm (which got discontinued!!), but Lanolips is amazing. I also use it as a cuticle balm, super multi-purpose
The Sol De Janeiro has been sold out for months , so I’m trying a Farmacy balm and I really like it. Also the Kopari lip glossy hasn’t left my bag for a for awhile.✨
I always use Innisfree Lip Sleeping Mask with Green tea which keeps my lips in good condition! I do love Bioderma moisturizers so I think I’ll try their lip balm for something on the go.
Thanks for sharing Megan! I'm the same with La Roche-Posay - I always trust their Cicaplast Baume B5 as a barrier repair moisturiser, so I need to try their Cicaplast lip balm too 👀💙 x
Hello i have sensitive and dry lips and i try so many lip balms from all over the world and 90% from your videos and after 10 years i discover Eucerin Aquaphor and that saved and heal my lips🙂
I recently tried to find a budget friendly version of my all time favourite lip balm (from a local company), and was lucky with my first try: Carmex chapstick, looks like blistex just with in red and yellow :) 5 bucks and really effective🥰
im curios if you'll ever do an anti haul or products that where a fail for you or just dind't liked them. always looking for new videos from you. im addicted to the way you make your videos and your voice, makeup and ASMR. best combo
Unfortunately I tend not to film anti-hauls or fail style videos - just because something doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't be someone else's favourite so I prefer to be respectful of that. Thank you Victor! So flattered that this feels like ASMR for you ☺️ x

Aquaphor! Budget friendly, great for an overnight lip mask and for daytime wear it gives a nice gloss finish!

Aquaphor makes a balm with sunscreen in it too. That’s my go to for with sunscreen and I keep it in the car for kids.

I love Glossier’s lip balm. It does the trick for me and has never let me down♥️
As someone on a budget my favorite lip balm is the basic Nivea ones! It’s a nice thick texture, spreadable but not prone to melting in your pocket like some other lip balms. Vaseline lip products are also really nice for use before bed- less convenient on the go though.
So many nice flavours! 🍑🍒 x

Thanks for sharing Genie! Some of those are new to me, always so much to learn in the lip balm world 😅 x
Aquaphor is a good alternative for lanolips (it’s basically all lanoline as well).
Blistex has one in a little blue pot and it smells like menthol it’s amazing. Really wakes me up in the morning. I live in Scotland so it’s often chilly and this helps with any colds. Also a fan of lanolips 101 ointment. Still to see that stick version.
Lovely balms! I'm currently using a store brand organic lip balm because they're adequately nourishing, dirt-cheap, only have a few ingredients, and come in a three pack, but I'm looking for more of a luxurious balm that's still reasonably priced, so this came at the perfect time.
honestly i alwayssss go back to aquaphor healing ointment, it’s an oldie but a goodie it’s healeddd my dry and chapped lips
Sometimes the oldies-but-goodies are all you need 😄👍 x
I love this so much. Lip balm reviews are my absolute favorite. I love your hand touches.
Thank you! 😘 x
Lanolips and By Terry are also mainstays in my collection, Matilda 🥰 The Sol de Janeiro one has also been sneaking its way into my daily routine!
Love your work Kat! 👏 Ooh yes, I really enjoyed that Sol de Janeiro stick a couple of years ago too x
Once I tried Lanolips I never looked back. I haven't tried the Allover salve I assumed it was the same formulation. I'll give it a try for sure!
a much needed video! my lips are always chapped and lip balm is a must. thank you!!
Thank you Hannah, hope you enjoy it! ☺️ x
I still see it on Amazon but I live in the US.
love this video!! much needed :) i personally use the Laneige and it’s been life changing for me! i hope to try many, many more soon though (you can never have enough lip balms!)
Thank you Roheen! Sadly Laneige didn't do much for me but I'm so glad it works well for you 😄 x
I’ve tried Lanolips in the past, but had an allergic reaction. My favorite stick balm is Vaseline lip therapy. My favorite pot is Laneige. My lips are extremely dry, so I usually have to layer tinted balm over the more moisturizing balm, if I want a little color.
This has got to be one of the most useful videos on YT. Lip balms that are actually hydrating are so hard to come by.
Thank you Aarati! Helpful is what I love to hear ☺️ x
I'm obsessed with Kiehl's Buttermask because it smells incredible.
Love this list, thank you so much 🙏💖
My favourite at the moment is Jouer overnight conditioning lip mask, the one in the giant pot! It’s cushiony and works amazing as a lip balm, night mask and lipstick base 💋🙌🏼💕
Thank you for watching! Ooh interesting, I haven't tried any Jouer products but I'll keep an eye out for that one next time 🇺🇸 x
❤️💖❤️💖❤️ I’m in Sydney and got mine from Mecca. Love your channel 😘
The By Terry products seem to be amazing! I'm still stuck to my Summer Fridays lip balm because of the gloss and overall feel.
They're so dreamy Pramodha, but I know Summer Fridays is delicious too! 😍 I haven't tried it since they repackaged and launched new shades. Do you have a favourite tint? x
@@matildaonvideo My favourite is Poppy because of the darker shade x
the bioderma one is my OG.
Thank you Nicola! ☺️ Ooh do you use the pot balm or the clear Extra Lip Tint tube? x
I just ordered the lanolin’s all over you suggested. Really looking forward to getting to use it. Thanks for the gorgeous content Matilda ♥️
Lip balm on your keychain is genius Tina! 👏 x
Still holding onto the last little squeeze of the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm! I use it more as an overnight lip mask and almost never need to reach for it in the day time.
Summer Fridays lip butter balm =holy grail!!
That one is delicious! 😍 x
Sol de Janeiro lip balm - def on the pricier side but it’s sooooo hydrating it lasts through the harsh drying office AC for me :)
That one is delicious Aditi! Really enjoyed it a couple of years ago 🥥 x
Hey Matilda! Another lovely well done video! Blistex has been a staple in my family for years as well! Especially the mint version in the blue tube as I remember! I’ll definitely have to try that little pot version! 💄😄
Thank you lovely! So nice to hear Blistex is big in your family too ☺️ x
My personal favorites are:
-L'Occitane 10% Shea Butter Ultra Rich Lip Balm in a tube (i would love for you to make a video on L'occitane especially their hand creams with gorgeous scents btw, plus their shea hand cream is the single best thing in the winter if you can get them in AU)
-Nuxe reve de miel ( especially at night in winter oof the best😮💨 this one i know won't come off easily as the other softer ones it feels like a longwearing/waterproof lipstick that you wont have to check and reapply every 5 minutes.. plus it's matte so i don't look like i just ate greasy chicken 😅and you only need a tiny amount if you dont want too much of a waxy feel, and it still lasts all day and night 😇)
- burt's bees pomegranate
-blistex lip relief cream
-sebamed stick spf30
-Laneige lip sleeping mask (less of a lip balm function for me but i love how plump my lips look in the morning)
-bioderma atoderm levre stick
-byTerry liquid one
(I'm trying to not get into my tinted ones coz we'd be here all day 😭😭😭)
Eau de Lip Baume xD
What. A.
Tropic Lip Fudge is my ongoing favourite and I’ve purchased repeatedly for nearly 3 years. Its incredible!
Ooh sounds tasty just from the name Sarah! 😄 x
Ever since I watched your vid in 2018 about lip balms the blistex lip conditioner has been my holy grail 😊
Oh wow, that's amazing! So happy to hear that, thank you for sharing
Nghi 😄👏 x
I've been loving the Nudestix lip balm!💖 It keeps my lips moisturized and plumped without tingling.
Didn't even know they had one! Thanks for sharing Cintia ☺️ x
ugh yes another lip balm video, honestly one of my personal favourites !
Thank you Heydi! 🥰 x
My Favorite is the Eucerin Acute Lip Balm as well as the Bepanthol Lip Cream
My favorite is the Jack Black intense therapy lip balm. I've given up on other lip balms since they do it all (perfect over liquid lipsticks, perfect texture, fragranced but not overly). I can't stand their stick formate but the tube is perfection.
I remember trying a Jack Black tube! The flavour was quite minty from memory? I quite liked it! 😄 x
Hi Matilda I love the Innisfree lip masks, the Ilia and Emile Cordon . As well as by Terry Blume the rose le stick care, wonderful for the bag
Never disappoints
just restocked on blistex last week! glad to see it still holds up x
Absolutely Eden! It's truly a won't-leave-the-house-without-it situation for me, and if I forget, another family member usually has one 😅 x
Milani rose butter (10$) is supposed to be a by terry rose lip balm dupe. I've repurchased twice. I use a heavy layer at night and in the morning it's still there!!
For princess Diana fans,Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream and by terry baume de rose were Diana‘s go-to‘s!
All new discoveries for me here Cecilie, thank you for sharing! 😄 x
Thanks for sharing your favourites with me Marie! Gummy Bear sounds delicious 😍 x
Summer fridays lip butter balm is my FAVORITE! I know you said it didnt work for you but oh my god! Never had a balm actually make my lips soft like this one does
Maybe it was too delicious, I wasn't letting it stay on my lips for long enough Olivia! 😂🥥 x
Long time Baume de Rose Stan as well here ❤ my other top favourite would be Canmake Lip Serum - similar nourishing/repairing and smoothing like BDR but in a squeeze tube and very mild if any fragrance
Also special mention to the Ultra Violette sheen screen 💯
love this video matilda!! for the blistex pot, in the usa would that sliver pot be equivalent to the lip medex (blue) pot here or the DCT pot (tan) one?
Hurraw! Balms are my favorite. I really enjoy their Wintermint or just mint flavor and for sleep, their Moonbalm is the best. It's vegan and cruelty-free.
Lovely video 🥰 I have only tried Blistex from the ones you've mentioned. The by Terry looks wonderful but is so expensive 🙈
No matter what Lip Balm I try, I always go back to one from a local farmers market. Ist a mixture of Propolis, Eucerin (I suspect Aquaphor) and Beeswax. Its in a pot though, so not convenient for on the go. And it doesn't have a very pleasant smell or taste, but the result is unmatched. I'm currently testing a Eucerin lip balm, so far I do like it ☺
I’ve already commented this once, but that was on the one two years ago, so I’ll say it again…
*I LOVE the MCoBeauty Mega Balm*
First of all, she’s THICC and pretty tall so she never runs out, she comes in multiple scents (coconut, peach and watermelon last time I checked) and she’s SOOOOO moisturising!!!!!
Thank you! x
Kinship Supermelt Vegan Lip Jelly mask is one of my favorites.
Interesting, thanks for sharing Petra! 👍 I always found the Elizabeth Arden scent a bit off-putting, but that Rimmel balm sounds like a good find x
My must have is lypsyl lip balm!! It’s so underrated
Discovered Caudalie lip balm all thanks to you 😊😍
I make my own lip balms using beeswax, mango butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil and essential oils. For night lip mask, I use Lansinoh nipple cream (amazing!)
Ooh yum, it sounds great! Good for you creating your own 🥭👏 x
i just started using a lavender lip balm from glossier and i love it!
Ooh I love the scent of lavender but don't know how I'd feel about it as a flavour! 😅💜 x
My FAV is the Summerfriday one! I stoped searching it’s so good and works for me :)
So tasty Asieh! 😍🥥 x
It looks so tempting! I'd love to give it a go! 🥰
Still not over the loss of that one 😭 x
my favourite lip balm ever is by Weleda.
Nothing like a favourite product being discontinued Constance 💔 but I'm glad you found Lanolips instead! x
The Sol De Janeiro has been sold out for months , so I’m trying a Farmacy balm and I really like it. Also the Kopari lip glossy hasn’t left my bag for a for awhile.✨
Fresh Hydrating lip balm is my favorite. I have Lychee and Lemon and I love them
Ooh yes, I have a very old Fresh Caramel balm pot Sandra! Sadly didn't find it that effective but it's so tasty 😄 x
@@matildaonvideo that’s too bad.
Yay Doris, I'm so happy to hear you've found balms that helped you! ☺️👏 x
I recently tried to find a budget friendly version of my all time favourite lip balm (from a local company), and was lucky with my first try: Carmex chapstick, looks like blistex just with in red and yellow :) 5 bucks and really effective🥰
Sounds like a great find Linda! 😄👍 x
im curios if you'll ever do an anti haul or products that where a fail for you or just dind't liked them. always looking for new videos from you. im addicted to the way you make your videos and your voice, makeup and ASMR. best combo
Unfortunately I tend not to film anti-hauls or fail style videos - just because something doesn't work for me, doesn't mean it won't be someone else's favourite so I prefer to be respectful of that. Thank you Victor! So flattered that this feels like ASMR for you ☺️ x
Now you’ve reminded me that I’ve got a few Lanolips in my stash! I’m going to go find them!
Go Val, go! 😄🏃♀️ x
