I like how you pointed out the intelligence of Izuchi, 'cause that is something they have a lot of! In fact, just their behavior alone shows enough intelligence that if they were to be put on Earth right now, they'd be among the 10 most intelligent species, probably among the top 5, and possibly even the top 3, with the lowball for their intelligence being comparable to dolphins. Little things like having actual tactics beyond "Everyone gangs up on the target", stealing items that are worthless as food and thus must have been taken purely out of curiosity, such as clothes, and other such details all point to impressive intellect.

@@GlydeBorealis Haha me too! And to be honest I had been rewatching some videos from Unnatural History Channel's catalog of MH speculative ecology videos, and wanted to look and see if anyine else had done something similar, once I searched for it, and browsed a bit, I find you!
The passive monster mod that's linked in the description is the closest I think we're going to get in a while. The only caveat is that you can't touch the monsters (like even bumping into them)
OK, guys, hear me out. Monster Hunter needs...no...it REQUIRES the Prehistoric Planet treatment. You saw the realistic behaviors exhibited by the Izuchi pack here. Now just imagine him doing that in photo-realistic 4K CGI! If there's any video game franchise that needs the Prehistoric Planet treatment, it's Monster Hunter. I don't think any other video game franchise has as many nature documentaries as the 5th Gen games. It's got everything going for it. No magic and stuff, a functioning ecosystem, a menagerie of monsters that use their tools for more than just carting you, etc. I mean, come on!
If you take pictures, you can replace the entries in your books for the pictures you have taken. This goes for small monsters, large monster, and endemic life as well. I dunno that there is a game reward for it, but it's certainly someone can do for their own amusement.
Unfortunately not. That was just a bit of video editing magic. If they had, I'd have shown them within the same frame. Rise's monsters aren't nearly as... alive than the ones in world/iceborne
