Alatreon has evolved ability to go from different states so it can survive in different environments like it's body starts and bracing for the heat like if actually was in a hot area I guess if it's ancestors lived there and for the cold apart who uses is Ice time mode so it would be really adaptable
@@dixiboyart I'm currently working on something at the moment but I do eventually want to cover all monsters in this game =) it's a tall order but hopefully it'll get done
This is fantastic! I kinda wish they would expand more on the lore of MH in the games, or at least release a companion book to address some of the questions that I've always had about MH like: 1) Are EDs really ecological disasters? Seems kind of counter-intuitive from a survival standpoint to wreck your local environment since you'll be living in it 2) Did the Equal Dragon Weapon really exist canonically? i.e. not just as a concept art, but as a part of MH history 3) What really went down in the past with the ancient civilisation? Apologies but I can't see such an advanced civilisation, which had the ability to enslave EDs, getting overthrown by EDs. My headcanon is that if the EDs really did overthrow their oppressors, they must have had help from sympathizers of some sort 4) How does the guild / RC handle relations with the riders from Hakum village? This is likely a non-issue for most cities, but for those near Hakum village, I can image there being some level of curiosity among hunters and other people now that the riders existence has been exposed as per the story in Monster Hunter Stories 5) Are Teostra and Lunastra the only EDs that have sexual dimorphism? Cuz right now they're the only EDs that are stated to be specifically male and female respectively. None of the other EDs have that treatment
@@GlydeBorealis IKR I sometimes wonder if the RC would tolerate the presence of an ED near a city if it was seen to be non-hostile. I know that the standing policy is to drive away any EDs that are near settlements, but its fun to think about the other possibilities, especially with the New World given how a lot of the EDs there seem to be pretty chill (minus the scripted story fights). Imagine the Seliana RC branch setting up a research post deep in the Hoarfrost Reach to study a Velkhana that decided to move in close by, but by and large decided to keep to itself. Think of the possibilities of studying a live ED OwO Bonus points if they stumbled upon a breeding pair XD
@@Unazaki though, even if they're non hostile, you can't deny the passive environmental effect that they may cause. It's their very existence that can cause problems whether they're hostile or not
@@GlydeBorealis Very true, tho it does beg the question about their latent terraforming capabilities. Sure its bad for people living there, but life adapts. Creatures that aren't suited to the new environment move out. This can be seen in the real world with forest migrations. As the climate changes, new trees bloom on the side that is more favorable while those of the other side die off, with the animals within moving with the forest. There's also an interesting chicken and egg problem. EDs are attracted to environments that best suit them, even tho they can terraform the environment to suit themselves. So except for instances where an off-element ED moves into an unfavorable environment, its not so clear how much the ED influences the local flora and fauna. Take Velkhana for instance. According to the in game lore, its frequently found in icy regions like Seliana. Were those regions already cold and the dragon moved in because its a favored environment? Or did the dragon make it cold, so perhaps previously it could've been a tropical region with relatively high temperatures. You are right if a Velkhana drops into Astera and decides to stay there, that would probably mess up the local environment pretty badly. But if a new 1 drops near Seliana, then nothing might change environmental wise. Its already a frigid area.
I think number 3's answer was because Fatalis came and killed them all. Probably not the Fatalis we know today, but instead an unusually powerful White Fatalis most likely

Yeah the audio mixing on this one was rather poor in hindsight. Thank you for your comment! There is CC though just in case I made sure of that just in case!

This should be a full series.
"Avatar of Destruction"...
I like that title, actually. More fitting than just "Blazing Black Dragon".
If I remember correctly, the title is a direct translation from the Japanese kanji, so I can understand why they stuck with it.
