Right and I don't have any problem with Aussie shampoos but with curl shampoo I'd imagine that's something you want to wash in your hair before you curl it. I have the Aussie curl gel and I just put it in my braids before I go to sleep. Then you wake up apply a mouse to the curls and go if your hair is not curled and you don't plan on curling it then don't buy a curling shampoo.
Treseme or Pantene proven for damaged or dry hair works good. There's all kinds of hair products out there but it's very important to know what your buying sometimes over washing hair or coloring hair can dry it out too.

As a curly hair girl, sulfate shampoos kill my curls and make my hair feel disgusting. Skincare and lotion are completely different products. With silicones, it depends on the type of silicone and the amount of silicone in the formula. If you’re referring to the trend of people demonizing “harsh chemicals” and touting “natural” products - I completely disagree with that sentiment bc nature is made up of chemicals and not everything natural is good for you. But when we’re talking about silicones and sulfates in haircare, especially for curly hair, they do cause significant issues and avoiding them is warranted. Since using sulfate-free hair products I’ve grown my hair past my waist, my curls are beautiful, and my hair in general is much healthier. That doesnt mean I don’t want sulfates/silicone in my makeup or skincare products.

If you’re washing your hair regularly, with a silicone shampoo, the silicone continues to build on your hair shafts and coats it, leaving tons of buildup. That’s why when you use the same silicone/sulfate shampoo for a while you have to switch to a different one, which feels great at first but eventually that one does the same thing: makes your hair dull, heavy, and feeling gross. ETA: it also depends on the type of silicone. I’m not against silicones, tbh I’d prefer just a sulfate-free shampoo, but speaking to the cheaper drugstore type shampoos, the silicone buildup is real.

There are active ingredients in head and shoulders used to treat the problem, and her swap does not contain it. Dry and itchy scalp is not the same as dandruff, massive difference- there are better options that are cheaper than that alternative.
Most people are perfectly fine with using silicones and sulfates regardless of hair texture. They’re not as a whole bad, really just got to figure out what works for you. I have curly hair. Not wavy. And my mom has pretty pin straight hair. And we love alot of the same products

Head and shoulders shampoo is great for people with dandruff
And if you use any of these shampoos and they work for you keep using them, there is no reason to throw them
Out if they work, she is just speaking about HER perspective

do y’all know if Maui moisture is good? I’m really struggling with finding the right shampoo and conditioner for my hair. I have medium/coarse 2c/3a hair, but it dries out fairly easy.

As long as you use a clarifying shampoo once a week or however often you need based on the oiliness of your hair all that stuff you listed is not bad for the hair at all.
All those “natural” “safe” products made my hair look and feel worse.

Harsh sulfates and silicones 😂😂😂 y’all are too funny with that miss information…I’m not sure whos old enough to remember but back in the day like 90s and 2000s our hair looked amazing and that’s back when we were destroying it on a daily basis before olaplex before K 18 back, when we would flat iron it wet then curl it lol then tease it then flat iron the bangs again lol the Pantene…the “harsh sulfates” 🙄 the silicones used to keep our hair looking amazing and still is for a lot of us…just remember while y’all are out, STILL trying to find a product that works swearing it all has to do with not using “ harsh sulfates and silicones” Just remember these products that you hate on have been around forever and are working for a whole lot of us. I would literally give up dating men for the rest of my life before I give up silicone hair products nothing keeps my hair, looking like actual hair, and not a thin frizzy mess like some good ol silicone. It’s the heat tools and the bleach that’s destroying your hair and the extensions that are giving your traction alopecia that you swear doesn’t break your hair 🙄 not the products.
