I have wavy hair and I tried cgm but I hated how long it took after every shower and how dry my hair felt from using so many products. I remembered how I used to braid my hair before bed in elementary school and I had frizz free hair the next day. So I got a hair rod with silk and cotton and use it every night. My hair is so silky and the best part is that the curls stay the whole day.
My hair is long, and braiding makes my arms numb, but it works! After taking a bath, I would squeeze it for a bit and then apply baby oil (I'm prone to fungal acne, so I can't use any kind of oil like coconut or castor oil except mineral oil Johnsons baby oil). I just air dry it even though it takes longer to dry because of the baby oil, but it stops the frizz!
Thanks for this! I also hate how long it takes and most weekdays, I don't even have the time. I have thin hair so I find all the products just weighs my hair down and makes it oily a lot quicker.
so i saw a lot of comments saying they wouldn’t spend this much effort or money heres an easier way: wash ur hair use leave in conditioner scrunch if you don’t have a leave in, mix your conditioner with water in a spray bottle.
I haven't used any products ever. I wash my hair and scrunch with my regular Conditioner, wash and let it air dry. Then it becomes frizzy (and curly/wavy as it already is)
I am 30 years old and I’m CRYING that I found this! I’ve looked like “Albert Einstein” my entire life with my frizzed out, wavy hair. It’s not straight, but it’s not curly. My mom is of Nordic decent, and my dad is of Cuban decent. He had beautiful curls, and my mom has pin straight hair. I flat iron my hair all the time, but I actually want to embrace my natural hair. I was never taught how to care for this “in between” hair because it was always straight or curly. Nothing for “wavy” hair. I appreciate this video SO MUCH, and I can’t wait to try this out! 🩷🩷
Yeah, this is called curly girl method ..these many steps are not sustainable for a normal person..what I have really taken away from CGM is never brush/comb dry hair..comb when wet.. So now I just comb when wet, apply just one leave in conditioner and tie them in a bun or braid..they fall into waves accordingly
@@deejoetc So after you wash your hair, you pull it back into a braid? What do you do to control the frizz when you let the braid out? I’ve tried that, too. Hi, I just found this video and am planning to follow this. Is it necessary to put the gel? I kind of have a low budget right now, so I'll have to skip some things.
One thing I recommend is combing your hair with your hands and with your conditioner in the shower, it’ll damage your hair way less, if you have curly and wavy hair ofcourse. I stopped using a brush all together as it splits and damages my hair and makes it coarse

OMG: Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these tips. 🙌🏼 I had gotten my hair relaxed and blow dried since I was preadolescent… My daughter inherited my hair texture and that (besides getting tired of my fried and high maintenance hair) got me started on this journey. Now I’m learning to embrace and care for my wavy hair; I’m loving the journey and the result. It’s so worth it! 💖
I also have thick, coarse, 2a-2c hair that tends to be dry and frizzy. To prevent breakage, I never brush it with the Denman brush unless it's already detangled and has product with some slip in it - the Denman's bristles are too stiff and more likely to damage my hair. Wet Brush has some great brushes that I actually use in the shower to detangle and to ensure my conditioner has been thoroughly applied but if these are too soft, there's still other brushes with more give than a Denman. One other thing I wanted to note: I've seen a great improvement in my hair's dryness not with using leave-in conditioner (I do still use a very light one) but by using oil on my ends before washing AND by using hair night serum before putting my hair in a bonnet at night.
I can honestly relate with your hair type took me 6 years to learn it to much product weights it down down to little product it’s so dry now I just use oil and a little I Mean very little like pea size of Vaseline on my hair never best my curly have never been better❤
Ive tried your routine. It did work. But due to most of the product is expensive. I couldn’t keep up with the routine. Im still searching more affordable products but keep following your routine.
Hi I'd LOVE to know how you maintain these curls second and third day? I always have such beautiful waves and the next day they're gone :/ you're a queen!!!
Omg I cant believe I found someone with the same hair as me. The ends of my hair is bleached so its extra dry as well. I've never tried the wavy technique you're doing with the brush but when I want my hair to be wavy and not tangled while in the shower I condition and brush it while it has conditioner in it. I just let it air dry and it curls up naturally. Sometimes my towel makes the curls messy looking so I use a comb (NOT BRUSH) to fix the messy parts. P.S. using a brush in my wavy hair makes it frizz up and loose the waves.
I have hair just like yours and I'm half viet. I do a very similar curl routine and style and I love it. This gives me more ideas about how to do my hair and I loved this video thank you! :)
Omg, I think I have wavy hair. But my hole life I didnt know how to take care of it. I’m from Kazakhstan, and not sure that we have all of those products, but I want to found annalogs, and try this. I’m really thankful. My hair is really dry and pored. So my hole life I thought that I should’ve straight hair, but it is so hard. So I’m thankful that I found your video
Your hair is gorgeous, I’m curious how it would look with less manipulation though! Using a denman brush to twirl every chunk is pretty high manipulation of your natural pattern, I wonder how it would look with just some normal but intentional brushing and scrunching. I used to feel like I “had” to finger coil my hair and now it looks curlier with even less effort once i stopped forcing it into a particular shape
So I have textured hair but even a heavy conditioner weighs and frizzes the hair where the curl pattern is lost and it looks really unkempt. This is probably too much product for me but your video helped me learn a new technique for styling! Thank you!
When I was a toddler my hair used to be really wavy and maybe I can even call it curly. When I grew up I used to brush my hair after showering. My hair used to look exploded. Then my bestfriend told me I should try to do a curly hair routine. I started to watch ur videos and now seriously my hair is just coming back. step by step it's looking more healthy and hydrated too. Do you have a tip about how long I should cut my hair? or maybe my bangs? they're pretty long now.
Another banger of a video, your hair is looking a lot curlier and shinier I think you’ve conducted an amazing routine 🤩 And I’m going to order that second leave-in conditioner! I hope it’ll help as I have the same hair texture and it sometimes still looks dry after my whole routine it’s like I have days when my hair won’t allow anything to penetrate ☹️ Can I know what that song at the end is called? Your videos always bring me in a peaceful happy mood thank you so much 💖🥰
Please don't be so naive. You can clearly see her hair still looks extremely dry and undefined in the back. She just waves it around and uses filters. No one's hair is perfect but I'm sick of these fake influencers who aren't transparent and the gullible kids falling for everything
i love this!! thanks for all the great tips :) i have pretty oily, thick, and frizzy hair, and i've seen a lot of stuff online saying that i might have more defined waves. i see you were saying that your hair is coarse and dry, so what would you recommend for someone with oily and soft hair?
You're so welcome! I would do just 1 leave-in product since your hair is oily and skip the sealing oil. Try the Kenra Hydrating Leave-in. It’s super lightweight
My hair is naturally wavy. It's actually a little curly at times. My hair was straight and maybe a little bit wavy, when I was younger. When I turned 10, my hair started to get wavier. Frizz became a problem for me around age 12. It has turned into an irritation. I have been looking for a routine that helps with frizz, makes my waves more defined and not so messy, and I want my hair to be shiny. I also have mild problems with dandruff. I'm willing to spend any amount of time needed to get my hair the way I want it. I'm not really looking for volume. In fact, I think it's just as bad as frizz. I don't want volume. What would you recommend for someone not looking for volume?
You can use denman brush to style and do everything I do but don’t go all the way up to the roots. Just style til mid length of hair and that will lessen the volume. You can also grow your hair long so it will get weighed down and that helps with reducing volume as well
I told like brushing my hair because it makes the frizz pop out more. I'm not sure how you all manage to keep your hair looking great. Still figuring out what works for me without brushing my hair after the shower. I only brush before and wonder if washing my head every day affects how pretty it looks.
Since my hair is really short bc I decided to cut it last novembee, I have to use my fingers to define the curls bc it's still not long enough to use a brush 😭 but anyways, Imma try your routine! And your hair is sooo gorgeous 😍⭐
Better off brushing it in the shower while full of conditioner and with some water to help loosen the conditioner so it’s easier to brush through. Try using a paddle brush just so it has short prongs
Brush while wet. Scrunching technique, leave in plus oil, light weight curl def. Do not touch while it dries Separate and scrunch again Do not brush afterwards.
OK so I tried this yesterday basically with my products, I’m finding that less is more and after seven years of following people with wavy curly hair you’re finally the one that helped me finally a routine that works for me. I was ready to give up and I cannot believe how good my hair looked yesterday and I like that you air dry I want to air dry I do not want to use heat and a lot of them suggest using a diffuser and I just don’t want to and I don’t have the time I need to do it and get out the door… i refresh every day, I just damp in it and a little more curl cream/ gel and on my way I go what are your thoughts on doing a refresh every day?
So when waking up and it’s not a wash day, you still want to wet your hair with the spray to style it? I was looking for a video where it’s not a wash day and how to style it. I saw a wide tooth comb 😅 in one of them.
I was just wondering - what's your hair porosity type? I'm also Asian with wavy hair and my hair has a similar texture to yours, but I just wanted to know if the products you use would work for me too
Have you ever used a hair diffuser in your routine? My hair is so thick and takes forever to dry, I’m wondering if a hair diffuser would work well with this routine.
I’ve tried most waxy/curly/ fizzy hair routines and still nothing works I can’t touch my hair after a shower because it’s so thin it just goes straight. I can’t use products because my hair gets oily and it gives me allergic reactions, I have straight hair at the back curly hair at the front and wavy hair at the bottom . My hair is little a disaster 😂. If I wanted perfect curly I need to keep my hair wet 24/7. Love your vids though
I have fine straight hair but my ends too are so effing dry!!!!! I learned frizz shows up way more on fine hair (and i already use priducts to control that but with where i live at, that seems to not be enough). I might try to use my leave in conditioner and see if that helps
I have wavy hair and I tried cgm but I hated how long it took after every shower and how dry my hair felt from using so many products. I remembered how I used to braid my hair before bed in elementary school and I had frizz free hair the next day. So I got a hair rod with silk and cotton and use it every night. what kind of hair rod did you get?
What length is your hair? That sounds so nice 😊
do you use any product alongside the curling rod? how does ur current hair wash routine look? ❤
My hair is long, and braiding makes my arms numb, but it works! After taking a bath, I would squeeze it for a bit and then apply baby oil (I'm prone to fungal acne, so I can't use any kind of oil like coconut or castor oil except mineral oil Johnsons baby oil). you shouldn't use regular conditioner as a leave-in conditioner.

FINALLY SOMEONE W MY HAIR TYPE LOL😅
i love this!! thanks for all the great tips :) i have pretty oily, thick, and frizzy hair, and i've seen a lot of stuff online saying that i might have more defined waves. i see you were saying that your hair is coarse and dry, so what would you recommend for someone with oily and soft hair?
You're so welcome! I would do just 1 leave-in product since your hair is oily and skip the sealing oil. Try the Kenra Hydrating Leave-in. It’s super lightweight
Such beautiful hair! Would you recommend these products for thiner hair?
CONDITIONER GOES ON THE ENDS GIRL😭😭💀💀
Since my hair is really short bc I decided to cut it last novembee, I have to use my fingers to define the curls bc it's still not long enough to use a brush 😭 but anyways, Imma try your routine! And your hair is sooo gorgeous 😍⭐
Anyone who have tried all the products? Which are the best of them? Love the video btw
When you were applying the conditioner my shoulders cry cuz being afraid of having backne
Hi hang your videos are awesome but can you please tell how to tc of hair on daily basis?your hair care routine really worked on me
Better off brushing it in the shower while full of conditioner and with some water to help loosen the conditioner so it’s easier to brush through. Try using a paddle brush just so it has short prongs
Brush while wet.
Scrunching technique, leave in plus oil, light weight curl def.
Do not touch while it dries
Separate and scrunch again
Do not brush afterwards.
This is awesome ❤
Those r 3A curlssss ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I came for the Bepo video but stayed for the hair tutorials 🥰
Do you know if there is a name for your particular cut and style? I adore it and feel it might also suit my hair.
0:37 I love it 😂
I’ve tried most waxy/curly/ fizzy hair routines and still nothing works I can’t touch my hair after a shower because it’s so thin it just goes straight. I can’t use products because my hair gets oily and it gives me allergic reactions, I have straight hair at the back curly hair at the front and wavy hair at the bottom . My hair is little a disaster 😂. If I wanted perfect curly I need to keep my hair wet 24/7. Love your vids though
Do you know if this routine will work the same on curly hair? I really want the same results, but I have curly hair..
How do you do your hair when you sleep?
im trying this rn n i didnt use the exact products but i used gel hairspray n leave in conditioner ill update
What happened?
I’d love to try this routine. Question: Your hair didn’t look soaking wet after your shower, did you dry it with a tshirt at all?
Hey how do u sleep after doing all this to ensure ur hair is not a mess the next day
This is also the best way with my hair too
Thank you girl !! 🫰🏼
💕💕
I don't usually get this much time to take care of my hair...
I have exactly the same type of hair as you have... isn't there a shorter version?
I have fine straight hair but my ends too are so effing dry!!!!! I learned frizz shows up way more on fine hair (and i already use priducts to control that but with where i live at, that seems to not be enough). I might try to use my leave in conditioner and see if that helps
Could you please share what haircut do you ask for?
