I'm so glad that you posted this! As a fine-haired wavy girly I struggle SO MUCH with getting definition and not weighing my hair down with product. I am in absolute awe that you are able to get a wash day to last 2-3 days.
I feel you!! These products would probably work really for you bc they’re pretty light and don’t weigh hair down. Just don’t use too much and experiment with only using 1 or 2 together! Something like the The curl smith styling soufflé could also work well for finer hair 😊
Your frizzy hair is so pretty. I actually love frizzy hair because of all the volume it gives. A lot of people think that frizzy hair looks damaged and unhealthy but I disagree with that. Many people cannot afford all those curly girl products and a diffuser because it's expensive and people didn't have those products many many years ago. They just used to oil and wash their hair and had beautiful long, thick and healthy hair. I just embrace my natural frizz lol.
This is EXACTLY the straightforward explanation I really needed! My hair is exactly like yours and I've been struggling with what order to do everything in! Thank you!!!
Idk fs rn if my hair is straight or a bit wavy, it depends on how it dries(air drying makes it wavier & using a hair dryer js makes it straight w a few streaks of hair being wavy), as i got older my hair got shorter & wavier. Im just glad there are people who are able to help others recognize their natural hair type which they didn't know of before and now they know how to care for their hair properly & embrace the natural hair(if they want to)
A hair drier (w out diffuser) will always make your hair dry straighter bc it forces the wave/curl to drop out, so your hair is likely wavy and just needs a bit of help
Reaching my late twenties and going through a weird phase in my life where my hair is suddenly wavy (must be a genetic thing bc it happened to my mom too). You could try brushing your conditioner into your hair while in the shower (use a Wet Brush or something safe for soaking wet hair). It makes your hair really smooth and tangle free that way you don't have to brush and break up your curls. Also I would try a leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower

It happens because your ends weigh down the roots. Cutting them shorter especially in layers might help. But sometimes it's impossible fix. And you should be careful with cutting your hair shorter because if you have a very loose pattern it might make you hair appear straight
The gel has alcohol which WILL dry your hair out especially when u leave it on overnight. Best method is LIGHT vegan oil on ends. no alcohols, no gel unless you are washing it that night. Dont sleep in gels or hair products unless u wrapped ur hair or use only oil. Using Diffuser is good. Wide combs and finger combing is good too.

Instead of two products, use light hold mousse. Using two products for wavy/curly hair WILL actually weigh it down. (And also make it look like ramen noodles.) Also, if you use the diffuser while your head is upside down, you can dry your roots first, that way, your ends wob't get dried out. Also, you don't want it to completely dry, it's bad for your hair. Have you tried brushing it in the shower with a Wet Brush while the conditioner is still in it? That works for my daughter’s hair. Mine is stick straight so it’s all trial and error figuring out what works for her, which is why I’m watching this!
My hair really doesn’t get tangly but I also do detangle in the shower with conditioner! Do you do that? What you see in the video is my second detangle just to apply products
I detangle in the shower with conditioner and then I don't touch it with a brush or comb until my next shower lol
Use a wide tooth comb in the shower before you rinse your conditioner out-it’s made a big difference for me!
Do you use anything at night like a bonnet to help preserve the curls and avoid frizz?
I love this so much thank you. Just ordered the products. So, when I wake up the next morning what’s my next step? Should I just wet it down and redo the process?
@@willowrudolph753 you should get a spray bottle and get it a little damp and add just a pea sized amount of the leave in and jelly and you should be good to go!

Hi! What is the name of the product brand you are using?
i have wavy hair but sometimes i have straight strands in my hair i really don't know what causes it. do you know why that is? also amazing videoo i love itt!
do you use heat protectant or no? I'm composing my shopping list lol.
Before washing my hair looks straight.. Aftee washing it looks wavy;) now I'm confused about my hair type;)
What kind of shampoo and/or conditioner do you use? Do you use sulfates and silicones?
@@Merelmay007 I use a variety! I don’t purposely avoid silicones and sulfates. I like a lot of the umberto giannini shampoos and conditioners, I like briogeo and even some drugstore ones! I’m not too picky with those. I’m more picky with stylers
How do you sleep on your hair to preserve waves? Up In a "pineapple" with a scrunchie?

@@RiyaEditss maybe try using less of the hold products and more of the hydrating ones! It can take some playing around with product amounts. Also applying the products to soaking wet hair can help with this!
@@melindab ok ty❤️
My main issue is the top of my head. My hair is drying now and everything else looks good but i just can't get my flyaways to chill
I love this! My hair is super similar to yours. Do you sleep with anything over your hair to protect the style? I haven't found a method that works the best for me so I end up having to refresh my wash days the next day.
I just refresh in the morning if I need to! Some wash days can last several days without needing to but I’m not bothered if I need a little refresh. I hate sleeping in protective styles ☹️
@@melindab thanks!
How long do you wait to do your hair after you get out of the shower? When you start does the hair have to be more wet than dry?
@@aprilcherrybomb soaking wet hair is ideal. I squeeze some water out in the shower, put my robe on and start styling immediately. This gives me better curl clumps and tighter waves. If I style on damp hair my hair ends up more stringy and beachy so it just depends on your preference! I like both
@@melindab thanks for responding!
This is beautiful, thank you for sharing - can I ask how you sleep with it? This is why my issue lies 😭🤣
Get a bonnet fr fr or I put my hair in a super high bun and put a claw clip as close as I can to the middle/beginning of my scalp closest to my forehead. Make sure it’s pretty loose unless your hai is short then a bonnet fs
How do you sleep for it to last that long? A bonet? I sleep with a satin pillow case and my hair never lasts without some sort of refresh.
That was so informative thank you so much 🤝
Uhm I have a weird hair type and a bunch of the products make my hair greasy so is there any other products that won’t make hair greasy?
You can apply just a few quantity of the product (leave-in, conditioner...) when your hair is really wet, like when you just got out of the shower. Then let it dry naturally or with a diffuser/Dryer. It always works to me. (My hair is a 2c/3a)
Hey what can I do if my roots are frizzy (motorcycle driver - the helmet is killing my roots after coming from the beach) if I don't brush it and use a hair dryer it frizzles up and looks ridiculous the rest what comes after the ear is working like charm
As much as I scrunch the back of my hair never gets wavy 😫

Okay don’t laugh but I just turned 60 and my hair has changed so much omg hate it anyway I have 2b one length hair until I can get to the dressers my hair is like 2a underneath and 2b on the top except for the back of my head by the end of the part it so freaking bad it actually springs up I mean even in the shower so I guess I may have 2c as well back there anyway it’s driving me crazy. 😮now I know how oh wow thank you!!
Whaat. So every cgm video ive seen says curl cream or mousse before gel. I'd love love looove to know how you sleep to protect your waves
For wavy hair I suggest a light weight leave in conditioner instead of cream! I don’t use sleep protection 😬 I have a satin pillow case I used to use but other than that I don’t do anything special!

Ok there is One thing . When I put shampoo on my hair or comb my hair with my hands like you did . A lot hair fallz out like all the hair pull out and i don't even feel pain like WHAT IS WRONG With my HAIR
hey!! we can lose up to 250+ strands daily, and a lot of those strands are loose, so when a lot of hair is coming out it can look like you’re losing a lot of hair but really the hair was ready to shed anyways, so it just comes out easier. Just try your best to make sure you manage stress well and eat well to help keep your hair healthy! hair length can also make you think you’re losing a ton of hair too, so if you have longer hair know that it may just look like you’re losing more when you’re actually not.

Do you brush your hair in between washes? Do the curls stay in?
@@bmcdermott If I need to brush it, I’ll do it right before I wash it but I typically just detangle in the shower. My curls last differently based on the wash day but overall, they are pretty low maintenance the next day or 2. I wash my hair every other day or every 2 days

Weirdo
The top of my hair is straight but the bottom is curly how do I fix this
It happens because your ends weigh down the roots. Cutting them shorter especially in layers might help. But sometimes it's impossible fix. And you should be careful with cutting your hair shorter because if you have a very loose pattern it might make you hair appear straight
Is your hair low porosity or high?
@@febiemorales761 low!
My hair is naturally wavy, but no matter how light the products I use, my hair ends up weighed down and basically straight if I try to add any gels or mousses. No wavy hair routine for me 😂

How do you brush it after you sleep though?
@@Aria1913 I don’t! My hair doesn’t get that tangly. If it needs a light detangling, I’ll get it damp and add some leave in and gently finger detangle. If it needs a full detangle, I’d brush it out and wash it but that’s not often. Styled waves don’t need to be totally tangle free bc you shouldn’t be running your fingers through it
Not me searching for people saying ‘forced curls’ so I can hit them with a slipper
i dont get it, i tried several products , several different vidoes/ techniques and eery time i scrunch or flip and scrunch or try to use a difuser it just tangles up and it just breaks up the curl locks into frizzy individual strands and end up looking frizzy and tangled throughout the day 😐 it def never lasts , i have to end up washing it every day cause then its so frizzy and a rats nest that it has to be washed to start over- and how low is the difuser even on lowest it looks like my hair is in a wind tunnel
Your hair should definitely not be blowing around at all. You might need a new diffuser. Wavy and curly hair needs gentle air flow that won’t disrupt the curls as they set. Also, you need a little more product when you diffuse
You can definitely try air drying if you don’t wanna buy a new diffuser though! I love air drying

@@tleetlee1797 low!
Curly hair is course and should be treated gently and with as little heat/product as possible.

My hair literally puffs up like that 😭
