    How I RE Stretch Carpet With Furniture
    How I RE Stretch Carpet On Stairs
    Gold Coast Flooring | JustSayGold.com
    Here is some video footage showing how I re stretch carpet in rooms with furniture and how I re stretch carpet on stairs. Carpet can be tricky to fix and re-stretch in a room full of furniture, but it can be done. By using furniture moving sliders and a tool to lift the furniture, the furniture can be moved throughout the room to properly re-stretch the carpet. Take a look at this video and watch this carpet re-stretching job I did for a client in El Dorado Hills.

    No cutting corners, just lots of extra carpet! Nice job, Nick. When you do it right, never have to stretch again. The knee kicker is no match for the power stretcher.

      I do a lot of re stretches for elderly folks and will usually discount moving furniture
      out of respect so these tools are very helpful to save time and effort when stretching or installing.

    I agree the power stretcher is the only tool where you can use properly to evenly provide tension wall-to-wall. Too many people in our industry used knee kickers and you cannot keep even tension unless using a power stretcher

      😂 You always crack me up with your comments Christian.
      I only do that with extremely heavy solid pieces of furniture against the wall and still I'm very cautious.

    Oh, God. My husband can pretty much do Anything, but I think to fix our carpet will have to call in a pro to fix our stretched carpeting. 😁

    Hello from Ukraine, Nick! My local carpet installer suggests me to buy the tile carpets instead of wall to wall carpets. I would like to have your opinion on that. How do the tile carpets behave with time (will the lines beween them become visible with time)? Thanks.

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  5 років тому +2

      Hello! I'm not too familiar with carpet tiles but I do know they are great if you ever damage am area you can replace that tile. Also with a good installer the lines will not become visible over time so no issues there!

    So how do you handle the cutouts for floor-mounted HVAC vents? Once you stretch the carpet., the rectangular cutout for the vent shifts...now to make sure you have a new cutout over the vent hole and carpet where part of the cutout shifted?

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  3 роки тому

      Great question, if the carpet pulls a lot and there is a gap then that area will have to be patched. Sometimes the carpet that is cut when stretching can be used to patch those areas.

    good ... where can you get a stretching tool? what kind of knife do you need to cut the carpet at the edge (you didn't show that)? Thank you.

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  2 роки тому +1

      If you have a Home Depot near you that rents tools you can rent a power stretcher if they have it available. You can also buy a carpet knife there made by Roberts tools. But here is the carpet knife I use - www.tools4flooring.com/orcon-13322-action-knife-plus.html

    How much is a job lil this gonna cost ?

    • @justsaygold
      @justsaygold  2 роки тому

      Every job is different but for example a room like this would cost about $300 to stretch and fix since there is furniture involved.
