By the way in the comics both venom and Eddie brock do become anti heroes so a heroic venom can work and has work in the past. I will say venom does not need spiderman to be good or interesting it's just the execution
I feel like Carnage had the potential to be a really great villain but sadly they really screwed him over in the movie. People talk about mcu spiderman not being accurate to the comics should really look at this movie.
Here's my thoughts on venom let their be carnage pretty mediocre and i sadly didn't enjoy it. With that being said though I'm glad some people were able to enjoy the movie. It's often very easy to say oh they have bad taste or think less then other people views on a movie or whatever but sometimes I'm glad to see people get something out of something i didn't or can't enjoy. As a old saying goes theirs a movie for everyone and if a person liked or loved the first venom movie then they should enjoy its sequel. I will say i like it better then eternals. I know blasphemy but venom 2 was more interesting mediocre compared to eternals just being boring. If eternals wasn't connected to the mcu i doubt many would even give a crap but hey this is just my thoughts if you like eternals more then more power to you. Getting to the post credit scene of venom I'm honestly excited. I personally am just curious how this version if venom will play off of tom spiderman. Despite my complaints with the movie i did like the after credit scene. This version of goof ball venom might actually work within the mcu spiderman if given the right material and writing. Maybe it's just the venom fan in me i have read all of venom,Eddie brock, and carnage stories and currently reading the new venom series but i just can't hate this movie and I'm looking forward to tom spiderman fighting or teaming up again in a film with venom. Overall theses are my thoughts on venom. If you're looking for interesting venom or carnage reads i recommend donny cates venom,absolute Carnage, the current venom run by al ewing.
