Sequel to the successful "Venom", in which the eponymous symbiote and his host Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) have to deal with the serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who turns into the bloodthirsty Carnage after also coming into contact with an alien life form. Kasady already appeared in the credits scene of "Venom," where he was in jail, but warned that there would be slaughter after his escape. In the comics, Kasady infects himself with the Carnage symbiote during his outbreak. Moreover, the villain Frances Barrison alias Shriek (Naomie Harris) is also said to be involved. Thus, Venom will be facing two opponents at once...

One thing I didn't really like about this. Is what was pointed out that Carnage and Cletus Kasady are not symbiotic. In the comics they actually are because they are both Chaotic and Psychotic too the point where they are ideal for each other.
Yeah I completely agree. Also disappointed how much of a threat they didnt really display him to be. In the comics Venom and Spider Man had to be like, “cut the bullshit, we gotta come together or we both gonna die.” and I just feel like he was ultimately taken down way too easily
They were symbiotic at first but hit a disagreement when it came to eating Cletus' wife
@@TotherKoalaThat's the thing though, they're supposed to be perfectly symbiotic. Venom and Eddie are supposed to be the ones that aren't a perfect match because Venom's perfect match is Spider-Man. They decided to flip that and turned Carnage from a continuous, massive threat to a one-and-done villain.

The venom movies are a guilty pleasure for me honestly, I’ve got no idea why but I’m just fascinated with them and how although they have so much expectation and so much pressure put on them to be one thing they don’t care, they’re not here to tell something meaningful or try to be something bigger or more important then it really is, it’s just unapologetically fun that just wants to give people something fun to go through without needing them to be analysing it
I know it can seem like missed potential but considering just how many stories of venom already exists it’s kinda refreshing to see one that’s so unapologetically its own thing and not pretending to be something that it isn’t

If people are watching Venom 2 then they have seen Venom 1 and they are most likely people who know about Venom as a character. It's a parasite that works differently in these movies. I haven't seen the full film, I'm sure it's fine, but there's something about a comedic relief Venom that needs a pep talk about the power of friendship that really doesn't sit well with me.
True abd also I mean for a PG 13 movie. There's a lot that has to be changed/not added. They did good with it for a PG 13 movie but still felt lacking. Specifically cause Carnage had to fit in a PG 13 movie. If you know anything from the comics especially the Carnage comics. You know how violent he can get. It's like the difference between The Mask movie and The Mask comics.

People who say they messed up Carnage I disagree.
They messed up Kletus.
They got Carnage right.
Carnage wasn’t nearly violent enough. Kletus wasn’t psychotic enough. They got the casting right, but the writing was awful.
1:22 Frances knows very well that Carnage cannot stand her wild screams, but stubbornly continues to scream specifically so that the monster will eventually sincerely wish to tear off her head.
I like the details of the transformations between carnge and venom. Venom and eddie switching is so much smoother and pretty painless to look at showing how well they are connected.
But with carnge and cletus its so much more violent to look at and it seems like carnge is fighting to take control. Showing how they aren't working that well togather.
So many references to Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man 2. Also Carnage is red just like Spider-Man. Sound was used to win.

Loved the awesomeness in this fight scene, but the first one in my opinion was better, it had more action ending off the fight with a big explosion and it was more of a 1v1 fight. Makes me think who would win in a fight though between Riot or Carnage, their both very strong symbiotes.
