New Milford Ave RR Crossing Dumont NJ (9/19/21)

This video was at New Milford Ave RR Crossing in Dumont NJ. This train was a southbound mixed freight train on the CSX river line. This was a nice train to see. This is also a nice crossing that has the bells ring when the gates are down. They do that because the gate mech closest to me does not go down all the way to hold the gate up. Although it is too bad CSX replaced the old conrail signals that were here. But I am glad I got this video!

Surprised they didn't just repair the gate stabilizer that the remains of are hanging from the arm.
Great catch with that solid YN2 lash-up, BTW!

I am surprised too. It is probably creating a lot of pressure on the gate mech. Sometimes the bells ring on and off because the gate mech is on the switch.
