- This video was shot at the New Bridge Road grade crossing in Bergenfield, New Jersey
I was planning on spending the weekend with Millenniumforce, but due to some complications that arose, those plans were cancled, so i decided to come down to the River Line to do some railfanning. Choosing a spot i have not been too in at least 2 years, proved to be a good omen as i caught 6 trains, one with 7 engines, (most of them were dead, being towed to Selkirk to be scrapped) and one train with all UP power, including the lead engine showing its American Spirit! Overall, stayed between 10:30 am and 3 pm and saw 6 trains, not bad for a Sunday.
Crossing Info:
Signals #1: 1 MI cantilever with 4 pairs of GRS Plastic 12x20 inch lights.
The gate which is on a seperate pole has a Safetan gate mechanism
Signal #2: 1 MI cantilever with 4 pairs of MI 12x20 inch lights.
The gate which is on a seperate pole has a Safetan gate mechanism and a Safetan and a NEG electronic bell
Both Pedestrian Gates have US&S Model 75 gate motors.
This crossing is located at CP10 on CSX's River Line.
Enjoy!

So standard cab dash 8's are dying now? Also, how can you tell the difference between a gate motor and a gate mechanism
