Been a week now with the tune. The car is much more alive. Oh and the little pops when you let off the throttle after a hard acceleration. It really puts you in your seat, more so than from factory. I'm so getting an exhaust next.

Cool video only thing I pretty much have to say is I don’t feel like the comparison between your car and the euro compulsion car is an even comparison due to the fact that you have a Q4 versus theirs is a Q2. Yours is going to have a whole lot more pull due to the fact that you have all four wheels having power versus there’s only have one rear wheel power which is only pushing the car versus yours pulling and pushing at the same time! But hey not saying I know everything just going based off of my own experience. I would say race a car with the same modifications but different tunes to have a straight up even comparison. Other than that I love what you’re doing and keep up the great work!!!

Did you do any similar tests with the GoPedal? Does it actually give performance results or just a new throttle map for throttle sensitivity when not at WOT
Yeh man gotta be scientific! Haven’t tested the GOPedal but I bet there is definitely an increase if I was doing a standing start with no brake boosting

Well it locks the throttle into N mode, but hearing stays the same in all modes with the addition of race mode which has its own “gearing” and shift points Race mode in automatic is consistently about 1 or 2 10ths slower in the 1/4 mile when you let the car shift on its own, compared to dynamic, because 1: the gearing in dynamic is more aggressive and made for acceleration and 2: race mode disables traction control and takes the car to redline in pretty much each gear before it shifts Race mode however has way more aggressive throttle response than any other mode, and when in manual (for which it’s designed) is an absolute BEAST. Can reach top speed much quicker in race mode, and I believe that if you nailed the shifting right you could probably get a faster 0-60 1/4 mile in race mode on manual than dynamic in auto, but I have yet to test that…. So essentially: Race mode is fastest mode when used in manual in conjunction with squadra tune with the top speed raised to 167.7 mph Dynamic mode is fastest mode in automatic from a stop

Its all the same throttle mapping and response in all modes. Race mode locks them all in N and squadra chooses to keep that N throttle mapping for all modes as well .

Literally everyone with it attests to this No idea why. That may be because the revs are higher at idle or it defaults to a lower gear more often idk
@@_fast4lfa its because of the body "feeling" things is extremely inaccurate. Per actual logs of the throttle position vs throttle body and of course as squadra states they use N mapping for all modes. It could be shifting strategy you're feeling and the body is confusing it with throttle response.

Great review. Nust a couple points of clarification. First you said jb4 overheats. This is not the case. we've discussed that you were monitoring the wrong temps (pre intercooler temps). Post intercooler intake temps do not get too high with any tune or piggy on stock turbo. Its a very good ic system and more than adequate for stock turbo. Another point of clarification for your video is there is no special tune for the catless downpipe. They simply turn off the secondary o2 monitor. Good video just a couple points of clarification. Id definitely hit up squadra for a flash tune.
I’ve experienced the car getting too hot with the JB4 and pulling power until it cooled down after 2 runs, hasn’t done that with this tune Also, they actually optimize the tune for the addition of the catless downpipe, they don’t just disable the cel That’s per squadra
Since you just recently asked me how to replace the relay for a failed auxillary water pump relay that was likely your issue. Remember in science that correlation does not equal causation. It would have been odd for no other jb4 car to overheat but just yours. You were likely having intermittent water pump failure from that relay that you had to replace.
@@bhvrdr oh by the way so far so good! Replaced it and car has been running excellently I didn’t get the code until I switched to the squadra tune. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t an intermittent failure before, but it became more prominent with the flash tune, maybe because squadra really alter the cooling strategies and it simply pushed an already intermittently failing part to failure Either way, I’ve experienced the JB4 without the code, and the squadra tune without the code and the squadra tune is leagues above in both performance and driver experience. JB4 is also not safe on the track unless you run it in bypass mode

Technically the car performed better for you with jb4 then with squadra because it overheats with squadra...its just it was always from a mechanical failure of the relay If you cant track the car on jb4 theres a mechanical failure lol. A bunch of us do. I also do weekly 150mph torture testing on more boost than anyone with stock turbo runs and no problem at all. Likely was you cooling system all along. As for performance im waiting for you to do as well as my stock turbo jb4 runs ;)
@@bhvrdr we live in 2 different climates. And have 2 different setups. I have heavy 17mm spacers all around and 245/35-19 tires on. A car with no spacers and skinny 225s is going to run faster in a straight line all day. Your car didn’t run faster than 12.9 stock.

ik this video is old but was your car under warranty when you tuned it and did dealer still honor the warranty if so? I'm getting a Certified Pre Owned specifically for the warranty and don't want to do anything that will void it after I'm paying thousands extra purposely fora car under warranty.
I've looked through the net and some users put on a hybrid turbo which doesn't seem to improve performance by much. We might be looking at 11.5sec 100-200, but as for a 2500-3000$ mod, gains don't seem to be justifying its price at all. Looks like Squadra is bang for the buck then.

Be careful with that intake the filter isn’t very good at keeping your engine clean, for very minimal gains over stock. EC v4 intake is the best or stock. Straight pipe sounds like ass tbh get an Italian system. Costs a lot but sound quality is fucking nuts. I’m in Italy and these Italians treat me like royalty. Germans, French, Italians love the sound of my car. Pay for quality my bro Tune definitely makes the car sound more aggressive as well as downpipe Also, do race mode with a go pedal

Ah yes, I remember 18 years ago having a 12.5 second 1/4 mile car in high school. Was a fun little turbo-4, but compared to todays cars the average sedan can basically keep up. Things have moved forward in the auto industry so far since then.
Out of curiosity - wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to go to some local respected tuner and have it tuned individually? Racebox is always just a racebox, individual tunes are said to be more oriented towards a specific car.
Your ECU has a counter that if the dealer checks can show them time date and info on what was flashed to the ECU. Like the number of times the car overall has been programmed. So yes you can change back but it will still show it was modified.

The tune has only made the car more reliable tbh hahah. Lots of fail safes and safe boost increases. They are the best for a sporty daily The Quad is a different beast but remember it’s only RWD, and costs a fuck ton to fix out of warranty If you have a spare car and PLENTY of spare cash, go for it man. But tbh I think that a well modified Q4 carbon pack + hybrid turbo + race mode + suspension/wheels/tires is going to serve you better and cost less in the long run. I’m not a rich guy or even very wealthy. I have the fun my wallet can afford bro

And if you want the quickest and fastest versiin save the $ and drop the weight and get rwd. Sticky rear tires on a lightweight 8.5"x 17" wheel will do wonders.
Its recommended because boisted engines will always run 25-30% hotter with more boost. Cooling like intercoolerscjust keeps temps at stock levels with more boost, they dont add more power, just keep whats there , stable in high heat.

It needs some top end baaaad. Only thing that stopped me from buying this car. I went with a Lexus ISF. Still a fantastic car. Until it’s easy to achieve an aftermarket turbo in hands, I won’t be getting one.
Yes the turbo is made for low and mid range. There are hybrid turbos available that people have already applied and are going as fast as 12.16 in the 1/4 with 112mph trap speeds. However I personally like the characteristics of this car as is for right now. Tops out at 167.7 with the tune. I should’ve showed a top speed run, it pulls much better up top in race mode but accelerates the quickest from a roll or stop in dynamic
@@_fast4lfa I then stand corrected and that’s very impressive with the tune and down pipe with race mode! ISF has its luxuries but with the right modifications it’s a road course and straight line beast. I bought it with the intention of road course in mind. If it had a better tire set up from the factory, along with better bushings and more supported seats, it would throw a lot of cars out of the water.
@@jrizzyjoeBe glad you got the isf. Its reliable compred to any alfa/chrysler. And you can supercharge or turbo the V8 for 625 to 750 hp. No Alfa Giulia Quad fully modded can touch the isf in acceleration, only handling.

Madness makes the catless downpipe. Squadra says 320chp/360tq
They have high flow cats. They're pricey! So if you feel guilty and need a cat you can get one. Catless is less weight and better air flow of course

ik this video is old but was your car under warranty when you tuned it and did dealer still honor the warranty if so? I'm getting a Certified Pre Owned specifically for the warranty and don't want to do anything that will void it after I'm paying thousands extra purposely fora car under warranty.

I've looked through the net and some users put on a hybrid turbo which doesn't seem to improve performance by much. We might be looking at 11.5sec 100-200, but as for a 2500-3000$ mod, gains don't seem to be justifying its price at all. Looks like Squadra is bang for the buck then.

Be careful with that intake the filter isn’t very good at keeping your engine clean, for very minimal gains over stock. EC v4 intake is the best or stock.
Straight pipe sounds like ass tbh get an Italian system. Costs a lot but sound quality is fucking nuts. I’m in Italy and these Italians treat me like royalty. Germans, French, Italians love the sound of my car. Pay for quality my bro

Your ECU has a counter that if the dealer checks can show them time date and info on what was flashed to the ECU. Like the number of times the car overall has been programmed.
So yes you can change back but it will still show it was modified.
Sure. But flash count will increment. But dealerships flash upgrades all the time. So they don't know any better.

The tune has only made the car more reliable tbh hahah. Lots of fail safes and safe boost increases. They are the best for a sporty daily
The Quad is a different beast but remember it’s only RWD, and costs a fuck ton to fix out of warranty
If you have a spare car and PLENTY of spare cash, go for it man. But tbh I think that a well modified Q4 carbon pack + hybrid turbo + race mode + suspension/wheels/tires is going to serve you better and cost less in the long run. I’m not a rich guy or even very wealthy. I have the fun my wallet can afford bro

I’d say low 400s is the max
On these engines, fuel and internals then trans and axles. High torque and or high rpm is what destroys parts
And if you want the quickest and fastest versiin save the $ and drop the weight and get rwd. Sticky rear tires on a lightweight 8.5"x 17" wheel will do wonders.

Its recommended because boisted engines will always run 25-30% hotter with more boost. Cooling like intercoolerscjust keeps temps at stock levels with more boost, they dont add more power, just keep whats there , stable in high heat.

It needs some top end baaaad. Only thing that stopped me from buying this car. I went with a Lexus ISF. Still a fantastic car. Until it’s easy to achieve an aftermarket turbo in hands, I won’t be getting one.
Yes the turbo is made for low and mid range. There are hybrid turbos available that people have already applied and are going as fast as 12.16 in the 1/4 with 112mph trap speeds.
However I personally like the characteristics of this car as is for right now. Tops out at 167.7 with the tune.
I should’ve showed a top speed run, it pulls much better up top in race mode but accelerates the quickest from a roll or stop in dynamic
Also, ISF is an awesome car, just a little too luxury and not enough sportiness/fun for my taste
@@_fast4lfa I then stand corrected and that’s very impressive with the tune and down pipe with race mode! ISF has its luxuries but with the right modifications it’s a road course and straight line beast. I bought it with the intention of road course in mind. If it had a better tire set up from the factory, along with better bushings and more supported seats, it would throw a lot of cars out of the water.

Try 11.8 at 118 mph and 3.9 0-60 for a 2019 5.0 Mustang. Stock tune, everything including all season tires.
MasterCarguy44 alfa has 4 doors not even a 2 liter gets 33 miles per gallon and will kill your stang on any curvy road....don't even try to play with a quadrifoglio you will get ur butt handed to you
