I just purchased the same car 4 days ago. 2019 Giulia Ti Sport Carbon. I have been wanting an Alfa for years and finally got it. Couldnt be more thrilled. Its everything I imagined. I ate pizza for lunch AND Dinner AND drank a bottle of proseco the day I got it Great Video! I really enjoyed this! dreams do come true
thanks Ryan! I am sure you are gonna be even more thrilled after the first canyon drive with her! ahah 2 pizza in a day sounds really too much 🤣 Enjoy my friend!
I am in Canada. In the early 1990s I had an Alfa Romeo 164L. It didn’t like the snow, it didn’t like the rain, sometimes overheated, but I LOVED driving it - it was a manual. I am now seriously thinking about getting a Giulia. I would like to have it as a kind of a retirement gift to myself…
I have the Giulia and an Alfa 4C. Like you said “Just go and buy it!” We have had all the German and English family sedans. My Giulia has been my favourite family car of all time! ❤
I want one really bad! I would take it over a German vehicle any day. Also, awesome English video! Thank you for doing one! I subscribed because of this video alone!
Great video Luca. Regarding fuel consumption on long journeys - I recently did a relaxed drive across France in my 2018 Veloce with very little hard acceleration, mostly in 8th gear - which of course is overdrive. 40 miles per gallon was easily achievable. On quiet roads in England, staying below 70 mph, 42 mpg is possible. Of course high mpg is not the purpose of this car. In normal mixed driving on England's slow and busy roads 36-38 mpg is the normal consumption if it's not driven hard. This Veloce is a truly brilliant car, with 0 - 60 mph times very similar to a 4 litre Maserati or a 5 litre Mustang, whose fuel consumption is of course vastly greater. Top speed of 150mph is also similar. A low weight of 1400 kg is part of the reason - those aluminium panels really make a difference. The perfect balance of the car is another factor in its fabulous handling and driveability. The sheer joy of driving this beautiful car is expressed very well in this excellent review. Many thanks.
You English is very good, and your videos are good detailed, make more videos in English language...you know the Alfaromeo better that a lot American youtubers
Luca - Thank you for making this... it's the ONLY review I've ever seen from an Italian Alfisti in Italy (it's always in Italian which I don't understand). You should do more Alfa and Italian car videos, you're very good at it !!
Ciao e grazie! Hello from Los Angeles! Che bella machina! I love my Giulia Ti Sport in Missano blue! I had a bmw and this is way above. I wish they had a manual, but the transmission is very fast in d mode. Ciao and wish you well cari amici italiani. My papa had an alfa sprint veloce and later alfa 33 ti, i lerarned to drive in sprint, and after so many years i wish i can show him what a proper Alfa can do...Molto grazie sono Croato di America.
Ciao Robi! Grazie! Misano blue is absolutely stunning, congrats! Yeah we wish too there was a manual RWD 280hp (maybe 250 for Italy, to avoid the obnoxious "superbollo"). I am sure taht with your beautiful TI Misano Blue you'll show him 😍 (33 ti is stunning, we just tried one on piedi pesanti channel)
I always loved the way Alfa Romeo made the Giulia. The car was built beautifully. I sat in the giulia at the Orange County Auto Show in anahein California and the seats were very comfortable and I also loved the way they also had put in those huge bull horn paddle shifters. One day this year I'll buy one of my own.
Nice video. I have owned two Giulia 2.0 280hp in the US. First was a 2017 drove it to 100,000 miles and now have a 2022. Both were (are) daily drivers. A couple of things I noticed are the quick steering ratio (as the reviewer mentioned), 32-33 miles per gallon on the highway traveling 70 miles per hour, the placement of the engine (it's weight / inertia) nearly 100% behind the front axle (check where Audi positions the engine), the carbon fiber driveshaft, the ZF transmission which holds high revs upon and right after hard acceleration assuming you'll want to mash the pedal again plus slightly downshifts on declines to help save brakes. The hood is light aluminum and this car is perfect for long 80-83 mile per hour cruises even if there are steep hills.
Most excellent review!! Thank you for doing it in English!! Literally Within 20 seconds of driving the car I was sold. And I didn’t even drive the one with the adjustable dampers. I’m not kidding, 20 seconds! Everything else I drove (m240i, g70 3.3t, s60 t6, new Acura tlx) Didn’t come close to making me feel one w the car. I was chasing horsepower, but that became irrelevant after driving this car!
Thanks man. I undestand you. I bought my first Giulia (a super diesel) in 2016 after the first roundabout. As you say, with a sedan that drives as a sportscar, horses come second.
The best video I’ve seen that describes all the pros and cons of the Giulia. Please keep making more videos in English brother! Would love to keep getting your perspective on everything
Old Alfistis waited for a rwd sporting sedan from Alfa Romeo (I believe the phrase sporting sedan was coined by Alfa Romeo) for almost 4 decades. But for us in Malaysia, we still can't get hold of one yet because no one is bringing it here. :-(
@@luca__2649 Malaysia being a country that drive on the left, our supply of grey imports are small, mostly from the UK and Japan, hence, to get the 4C at attractive prices is getting slimmer....
Greetings from Ohio, USA! Nice review Luca. I bought by my Giulia new 3 years ago and still loving it! It’s only my 2nd Italian car (I owned a Lancia Fulvia coupe a long time ago). SUBSCRIBED!
Great feedback Luca, I have been a BMW man all my adult life, however, currently the best 3 series is a Giulia. I will be getting one very soon and saying good bye to the last great 3-series the e46. All the best and keep your Alfa talk coming. Ciao.
Thanks man! I’ll try 😃 got talks in Italian with subs in the other channel but i’ll try to make more english content. Excellent choice, you’ll really enjoy it! Let ne know 😀
Honestly I don’t understand the critics about the interior design!! For me it looks amazing! Specially the navigation being so well placed. Not like a mini monitor attached to the panel like a quick fix in Audis and BMWs
Hello Luca, you are totally right about the standard 2 liter Giulia. I love mine, and it doesn't even have the paddle shift. It is an amazing car, I hate to stop driving it. The best car I have ever owned. The Quadrifoglio would only mean trouble...505 horse power doesn't make sense on public roads...you just can't use the car's potential But the standard Giulia is perfect. Love your video. Thank you.
I have finally tested a QV and it was too extreme for me. A bit too uncomfortable for a daily driver. Brembo brakes took 20 min to warm up and get a gradual feel. Really more of a street-legal racing car. Veloce is a much better driver. Less torque, ok, but with 8 gears and a quick transmission you feel quick enough.
@@jacopovalentino Again, I have to agree. As I approach my 80th birthday, the QV is just more car than I need...and probably more than I can handle. My base model Giulia is just as fast and aggressive as I want to get. And for those who have the QV and love it, I totally understand.
Hi, thanks for the english video, appreciate it a lot, I look forward to more of the stuff like this. I am planning to buy a Gulia Veloce in the future myself and am a bit undecided between gasoline and diesel versions as I do quite a lot of highway driving. A video (or just some comments here) comparing the gasoline and diesel Veloce versions would be highly appreciated as well. Keep up with the nice and enthusiastic reviews!
Hi Peter! thanks for stopping by! It depends a lot about your average milage and cost of fuel. Here in Italy the gas engine is also charged with the "superbollo" (supertax) because is above 250hp. The 210 diesel it is really pleasant in highway driving due to the powerful torque. at 130km/h (italian legal speed) it runs 16/17kms with 1 liter diesel while the gas 280hp can go up to 13 km with a liter. The diesel can be also very funny in tight corners as with all that torque tends to oversteer almost immediately while the gas is a bit more tricky. Two great engines, in the end: in my personal opinion if you drive more than 25,000kms per year (and gas is more expensive) maybe you could consider the diesel, otherwise i'd personally go for gas. 💪🏻
I did a test drive with the diesel before buying a petrol and it felt like driving a tractor. If you want this car, the petrol is worth the extra money! Great car, great engine, love my Giulia.
Thanks for the review in English, just bought mine here in the uk. 2018 TD Specaile, loving it! Italians know how to build a car with soul and emotion.
Great to hear you speaking in English, enjoyed your description. I know you are in Italy because STOP signs mean nothing. 😎 Here in Australia the long arm of the law takes a dim view of ignoring road signs. Keep up the great driving
@@luca__2649 Yeah I was thinking the same about stop sign vs Canada too. Since the sign looks like Ferrari red, I think it's more of a high five sign, lol. Excellent real world review.
I adore my 17 Q4, it's at 62000 miles, and I will be holding on to it for the foreseeable future. I do not care about about the "quirks" it is a wonderful car and focused in way I didn't know a sedan could be.
Bravo Luca! Great review from a genuine journo that obviously enjoys good cars and real driving fun. So tired of listening to "pro" reviewers that just focus on tech gizmos and regurgitate tired old Alfa tales exaggerating reliability issues that these days in reality, is no worse than Audi, BMW or Mercedes ... Keep it up. Grazie mille.
I hit the like on your first laugh driving the Guilia. The only thing you did not mention is that AR first build Qv Guilia and then the rest of the series that is based on the QV . Thats the reason that any Guilia model or AR model is not to compareable to the competition. AR worked the opposite way , like AR is doing it ever ,all these years, and make us ALFA HOLICKS!!!! Great driving and fun of an amazing car. Looking fo ward for more riviews. Thanks from a Big ALFA fun from Crete.
Superb video, very informative, thank you. I'm trading in my Giulietta QV 240bhp for a Giulia Veloce 280bhp, I pick it up in two days 😃 The Giulia will be my 7th Alfa. Love them, every Alfa I've owned has been an experience and a pleasure to drive.
Hi Luca from Vancouver Canada. I enjoyed your way of showing the car the way driver's should experience them. I have owned may Alfa's in the past mostly while living in Europe. I even raced a 2000GTV many decades ago in touring car championships. I was thinking of buying a Giulia TI and you have convinced me to go ahead. BTW your English is great and I wouldn't buy an Audi just because the interior feels of higher quality.
Thanks a lot for the kind words, Gordon! Absolutely stunning knowing that you raced on A 2000GT. What a car! Glad that you are going to have a TI. You are going to enjoy it!
I have driven the BMW 3-series for over 8 years (E92 and F31). But test driving the new 3-series (G20) and then the Giulia, made me decide to have the Giulia (actually the Veloce Diesel). And I must say, it is the best steering and handling car I've ever owned. Now more than one year and over 30k km. No problems or issues whatsoever. Great car. A true sports-sedan.
Finally, waited for such video from you for long time .... I like the way you are explaining how car behaves not in a journalistic way that everybody is sick but in a way your friend will tell you about his car. Absolutely agree with you but the problem is that people don't know that the strongest point on a car is the way it drives but not multimedia and rest of tricks. And btw your english is very good.
Agree with you totally. Choosing a motorcar should not be about the other ICE, that is how big the LCD touch screen is, but how it drives, handles and perform. The lesser driver's aid the better.
Well done! Great review. 👍 I was waiting for you to begin making reviews in English. I love listening to you speak Italian but prefer to understand more than 10-20% of what you’re saying. Greetings from a proud owner of a Giulia Veloce Ti Q4. ♥️🇮🇹🇧🇦
Have a uk late 2018 veloce misano blue, q2 (sports pack) and I love it. Beautiful car to look at and drive. Added the sunroof more for the looks because in uk I don’t get to open it much. Like others, I just wanted something different to German cars to drive.
Fantastic car and color! And even more excellent the fact that in the UK you can get the veloce with Q2 only. Much more sharp if you don't need the AWD. Well, probably in the UK you'll be using it as much as down here as in Italy in the summer is always too hot to give up air conditioning 😄
Enjoyed the review, my Giulia Veloce arrives in two weeks and I’m hoping it’s as much fun as all the road tests have claimed. Monthly payments will be stretching my finances, but as a disillusioned 54 year old family man I’m hoping it can give me more to enjoy each day and will be my first Alfa for three decades. I owned 8 in the 80’s and very early 90’s, one 79 Sud Sprint Veloce, two 1.5ti Suds, four 116 Giuliettas and one Alfetta GTV/6.
Thanks Brian. If you owned alfas in the 80s you'll surely have enjoyment by the Giulia. And, yes, as disillusioned men we can achieve satisfacion in driving such old school beautiful machines
Fantastic video I am in the USA and I have never experienced a better performance car for sub 30k I get a smile every time I hit the gas around a turn.
Bought a diesel cloverleaf Giulietta new in 2016, 36,000 miles later and it has not missed a beat. Not even a failed light bulb. Looking to change it but cannot decide between the Giulia Veloce or the Jaguar XE, really torn!!🙄🙄🇬🇧
Bought a 17 Giulia base last year with 13k on it ..except for a b.s. sensor it's like no other car I've owned! Waiting for the right circumstances to swap it out with QV. Luv it!!!
Very good video. I enjoy your Italian accent! I have had a 2019 Giulia 280 hp for 2 years. I love it! Quality is as good as any car I have owned and that includes Porsche as well as Japanese and American cars. Wherever I go in the Giulia people want to talk to me about it. From Florida USA.
Thanks a lot Ray! Very interesting to know from an experienced owner and connoisseur! Yep i noticed in USA people was attreacted by giulias when i saw them passing. Enjoy beautiful Florida
Thanks for replying. I first noticed the beautiful Giulia when I saw them as police cars in spectacular Florence, Italy in 2011. I knew if Alfa came to America, I would want to get one. I think the Giulia will be seen as the pinnacle of the internal combustion engine automobile as we the industry converts to electric vehicles..
@@raya4358 I do absolutely agree. It will be taken as example as a Delta Integrale of the 21st century. As you said. The swan song ICE. The police car you saw in 2011 I believe was the beatiful Alfa 159. At that time the Alfa flagship. :)
@@luca__2649 Thank you Luca. I didn’t know about the Alfa 159 and I appreciate you telling me about it. When I saw the car in Firenze, I thought how lucky the Italian police are to be paid to drive a car that is so beautiful and sporty. All the best to you.
I needed to replace my Ford Edge and fortunately my wife reminded me that we had been in the Alfa store to have her 500 Abarth serviced and that we should look at Alfa's. We drove out with a Ferrari red Stelvio and I could not be happier. The design is beautiful, especially the front aspect, and I love the performance and the fuel mileage. Never mind that I am 93.6 % Italian (23 and me). I have owned 4 Merdeces and 5 Porsches the latest being a 996 Twin Turbo. Alfa makes a great car!
I am American and have never owned a European car. But something about this one really grabs me. I am looking at getting a 2 year old Veloce with low miles for around $27k USD. I don't think anything compares to that in this class of car.
Your English is great!! Thank you for your review and your opinion. I will own one soon. It will go with my 164 and GTV-6. So how much more does the steel trunk weigh??
thanks a lot for the kind words pal. Wonderful fleet and amazing addition! You'll be in love with it! Could not find any infos about the weight penalty even asking directly to FCA. I bet a couple of Kilos (4 pounds roughly) but I'll let you know if I get the info
I own a BMW but I want this Alfa so bad. I am a wine salesman that averages 300-350 miles per week. Wondering if this would be a good car to run my route. Great video
Hi Willy, thanks! I've been commuting on roughly the same amount of miles as you do for a couple of years. Fuel cost left apart (in Italy is 2-4 times more expensive than US) it's quite a nice place to be on the road
Thank you for the review and all the details especially the steering aspect ratio that's interesting stuff and that this is a magnificently handling machine
amazing color. When it came out I was a bit unsure 'cause it felt a bit "bmwish" but when I saw it on the road, with yellow calipers I felt in love! If not red I'd definitely go for the Misano Blue
Hi Luka! Wonderful video, loved it! Your english is very good as well. Please make more Alfa Romeo English videos. I would like to make you a question, because I'm saving some money for buying this pure Italian blood wonderful and beautiful car. Which will you advise? The Giulia Q2 or the Q4?
Ciao Luca, nice review. My opinion is 90% of drivers stop messing with the paddle shifters after a month. I just bought a Stelvio Lusso which thankfully doesn’t have those paddles. I don’t know why reviewers are so enamored with them. I will be at the Alfa Museum this June and will wave when we drive through Milan!
Hi tom! Thanks for writing. I don’t know I still mess a lot around with paddle shifters in D but I understand that big majority of people don’t 😂 well that’s cool! Write me if you stop by. Should be cool
hey man. i live in the states and i purchased my giulia Q4 for $31,000 with 20,000 miles on it. These are amazing cars and they are starting to sell hot cakes. It took me two months to find one.
Really enjoyed that, and your English is perfectly understandable, and for the most part, has probably fewer errors than some 'native' speakers!🤣👍 Ciao!
I was looking at it since 2016 and waited till 2020 for all the minor issues to get resolved. I love my blacked out 2020 Verde Visconti Giulia 19" Y spoke wheels and yellow Brembo brakes. Even BMW owners come tell me how nice it looks. I very seldom see one on the road. BMW and Mercedes are all over and in used car lots.
Yep it is quite uncommon outside Italy, and here as well a "well configured" Giulia is a rarity (90% of the Alfas are quite basic, grey/blue corporate fleet diesel ones). I personally love less common things. The Model Year 2020 has resolved almost all the issues, especially quality related ones. Now it looks really sleek
I have ‘17 Ti sport and she is best sports car I’ve had even with 4 doors. My mother is always amazed the her Mustang weighs less but feels several hundred pounds heavier than my Alpha. So perfectly balanced that she feels like 300hp Mx5! No issues with 32k miles.
Great video! I live in the U.S. and the Giulia is my dream car! I was surprised at how high the "superbollo" taxes are in Italy, birthplace of so many high powered cars! Starting to understand why the efficient diesel engines are so popular!
Hi Glenn! Thank You! Yes indeed! Sperbollo and fuel costs led euro drivers and constructors to invest in small diesel engines. Consider that Gas here in Italy is about 1.5$ Liter (roughly 6$ gallon). 😓
@@luca__2649 My wife is originally from Japan. I was so surprised when we visited a gas station in Tokyo and it cost almost $40 (€34) to fill up my brother in law's tiny Honda Civic!💸 But I still saw several "Supercars", Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.! But there were so many "microcars" (> 660cc engines) since the yearly taxes are much lower!
Had to laugh when you said the most annoying thing was the start-stop... So relatable. Can be 'fixed' with a chiptune though, my start-stop magically stopped working. Had a 147 1.9 JTDm, which was fun to drive, and while the handling was a bit quirky and tricky, it was still a ton of fun. It was pretty reliable but had a lot of cosmetic issues (squeaks and rattles only only months after buying, leaking glue in the interior after a few years, armrest failing, ...) - but nothing serious, until the gearbox tore itself apart after 360k km. The 2.0Giulia however is leagues ahead of it and has been super reliable, very solidly build, now have driven it for 2 years with 40k km on the clock. It is just an absolutely brilliant daily driver. Also got the 2.0l for taxation reasons, and the original 200bhp was holding it back, but the chiptune brought it to 280/300bhp (it's the same engine) really made it come to live, and it's more than enough for a daily driver.
Nice and funny video. My average fuel consumption with my Giulia Super 2.0 (tuned from 200 to 280 ps) is 6.6 li/100km. Mostly at highway max 100km /h and 10% city (and 90% highway). For the short trips I take the bicycle of course 🙂.
Also I drove every German, and yes, the Giulia QV is the best car I’ve ever driven. Really, I challenge everybody; just drive it! I didn’t fit just really well (I’m 1.96...) so I settled for a Maserati.... no offence: I have nothing against German cars. Porsches are also fantastic cars!
off course German cars are great cars indeed! Their prestige has been well deserved over the years as they had delivered consistency and constant improvement. But driving wise Giulia is just another planet.
Many thanks for the review from Germany. Very good film, one is feeling it is being made by a car enthusiast. Great, enjoyed it immensely. Only in the beginning the camera is a little nervous.😉. Please go in in making english films.
As someone said, great car - great country. I am driving the AMG C 63 (but where to shall your drive in Corona times?), but for a daily car the Alfa would be perfect.
You can tell that he is driving in Italy by 3 things: turn signals are optional, speed limit is a suggestion and stop signs are there to allow birds to rest on it. And of course 1 or no hands at all on the steering wheel, because talking without flail your hands is not possible if you are Italian :P Nice video, I was very interested in hearing more about reliability, since this car has quite some nasty reports at least in US
how can you talk without hands, come on 🤣 Thanks pal. Except some issues with customer service no major complaints about reliability whatsoever. Now she has 40,000 miles on the clock.
@@luca__2649 I know ! :D I am just worried about not having parts available if a sensor goes out... You said that your car was sitting at the shop, and honestly this is quite unacceptable (yes, the car is "just" 40K USD; but that is a lot of bread! ). Beautiful car nevertheless; thanks for the video!
Ciao Luca. Great review! May I ask acouple of questions? 1. Can you deactivate the "Start-Stop" system? 2. (I know it is a strange question...) How do you compare the Giulia TI with a Golf 2.0 R?
Ciao Jacopo. (ma sei italiano?) 'course you can deselect the start and stop system by the dedicated button on the left side of the steering wheel! :) (there is no strange question whatsoever!) Comparing the Golf to a Giulia is quite impossible. I love the Golf but RWD is always RWD. Another world, another story. The steering of the Alfa is just beyond everything else and the joy of driving given by this machine is difficult to achieve with almost anything else. Having said that, Golf R is faster. I'd personally go for the Giulia because is RWD architecture.
@@luca__2649 Ciao Luca.
Resto dietro alla colonna B. Idem all’entrata!
Thanks for the interesting review. You mentioned that you had reviewed the Jaguar XE but I can't find it. The XE and the Giulia are on my final shortlist! You said that the Giulia was way better, so it would be good to know why. Have you stopped making videos, as I see that there's been nothing on this channel for a year?
thanks to you! The XE review is on Piedi Pesanti channel but it's in italian. Xe anyways was a big disappointment, especially on the driving side. I should do more videos in english, I know :)
👋 Ormai mi vedo pure i vostri video in English 😁. For who wants to buy a sedan car about 2.0...you MUST consider the Giulia, Giulia veloce etc. Good and powerful engine, precise steering and very beautiful design (outside and inside). It's something like a Ferrari Sedan 2.0 for family... Ferrari doesn't do car like this, but Alfa Romeo yesss... Alfa and Ferrari/Maserati has the same owner. 👋👋👋👋👋👋

@@michlep258 yep. Just had a problem with an engine warning light last Summer and after 2 months troubleshooting by the customer service turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor. After changing the sensor and updating the related software (all done by the dealer at no charge) car runs smooth. Even driving often like a hooligan no problem whatsoever! Great car. The only real problem is the central armrest padding quality. Affer 2 years it is way too worn out. I’ll need to restore it in another year i reckon. Annoying but definitely can live with it.
I have only the 200hp but the reaction from people is amazing they come to look at it as they are still pretty rare here in the UK but she is wonderful my first alfa romeo
@@milowales7899 indeed! Even own here in Italy where they are less rare still a lot of people are taking pictures or posing questions about it. In the UK where you seldom see them I can imagine. In Nottingham I used to see a red one pretty often. It was quite of a head turner 😃

I don't mind getting a 2.0 Veloce Ti, less road tax, better mileage and cheaper maintenance. I can live with 280 hp, nobody drive above 200 kph all the time.
Tnx Luca. Ofcourse I like better when you speak Italian, with subtitles perhaps, but, interesting video. I am in doubt about 2 cars, the Giulia and the BMW 3GT. I am not against German cars, neighter Italian cars. Only French cars ... ;-) I wanted to buy a petrol 180 hp Giulia, but the engine did not sound nice. Sort of a duck sound was in it. So, now I am looking for a 180 hp diesel. Drove that one near Salerno last summer, very nice. But also the 3GT is very nice and comfi, I have a family. We will see, depends what they will give for my Merc. Anyhow, have a good time in Milano, hope everybody will do well, hope Corona will die soon, and have fun with your Alfa. Tante buone cose. Regards from Olanda.
Ciao my friend! Thanks a lot for your feedback and much appreciated comment. We are working on english subtitles on Piedi Pesanti page but it's a hell of a work indeed :) Neither I am against german nor anything else (I actually like a lot some german cars as anybody else). The 200hp gas Giulia as well as the 280 is a bit too much "muffled" from the outside while pretty ok from the inside. At east the 280hp. 180hp diesel is very sharp and fun to drive even though a bit rough (italian diesel engines are quite famous to be so). Thanks a lot, hopefully everything will fix soon and we'll be free to feel europeans again! Enjoy beautiful NL! Dankjewell, tot ziens
How’s it doing after 2 years I’m looking into getting one myself
Best Italian-accented commentary since Father Guido Sarducci
😂 thanks Jim
I am in Canada. In the early 1990s I had an Alfa Romeo 164L. It didn’t like the snow, it didn’t like the rain, sometimes overheated, but I LOVED driving it - it was a manual. I am now seriously thinking about getting a Giulia. I would like to have it as a kind of a retirement gift to myself…
I’m fixated on those expressive hand movements while driving, lol. Appreciate the English review from an Italian perspective. Wonderful car.
😂 After all... How can u speak without hands, innit?
Me too! and the accent! love it
I have the Giulia and an Alfa 4C. Like you said “Just go and buy it!” We have had all the German and English family sedans. My Giulia has been my favourite family car of all time! ❤
It’s hard to find a negative Alfa Romeo review. Everything is glowingly positive from the reviewers and owners.
They fun asf get one!
Awesome fun with my Giulia. I agree with all the reviewers.
I love Italian people,Italian country,and Above All,Italian cars!!! Giulia is a MASTERPIECE.
bought it, the 200HP version, with RWD. best car I've ever driven by far.
glad to hear! indeed man

Everything else I drove (m240i, g70 3.3t, s60 t6, new Acura tlx)
Didn’t come close to making me feel one w the car. I was chasing horsepower, but that became irrelevant after driving this car!
Thanks man. I undestand you. I bought my first Giulia (a super diesel) in 2016 after the first roundabout. As you say, with a sedan that drives as a sportscar, horses come second.
Giulia will steal your heart. She steals mine every day back in the states. Wish I could drive mine in Milan! Enjoy!
She actually does. Every day even After a couple of years is like just having picked her up at the dealer. Enjoy back in the US pal
The best video I’ve seen that describes all the pros and cons of the Giulia. Please keep making more videos in English brother! Would love to keep getting your perspective on everything
Thanks a lot Brian!!!! I’ll try to make more english content!
Great review Luca! I just ordered the same car yesterday and I cannot wait to drive it!
Hi Lazlo, thanks! You'll love it! Keep me posted 😃
Old Alfistis waited for a rwd sporting sedan from Alfa Romeo (I believe the phrase sporting sedan was coined by Alfa Romeo) for almost 4 decades. But for us in Malaysia, we still can't get hold of one yet because no one is bringing it here. :-(

Greetings from Ohio, USA! Nice review Luca. I bought by my Giulia new 3 years ago and still loving it! It’s only my 2nd Italian car (I owned a Lancia Fulvia coupe a long time ago). SUBSCRIBED!
thanks a lot Martyn, really glad that you kined it! The Fulvia is one of my dreams, absolutely beatiful car! Enjoy the Giulia and thanks again!
Great feedback Luca, I have been a BMW man all my adult life, however, currently the best 3 series is a Giulia. I will be getting one very soon and saying good bye to the last great 3-series the e46. All the best and keep your Alfa talk coming. Ciao.

Thanks man! Really glad that petrolheads from UK appreciate italian products. English cars have in common the soul with italian ones.
Great to hear you speaking in English, enjoyed your description. I know you are in Italy because STOP signs mean nothing. 😎 Here in Australia the long arm of the law takes a dim view of ignoring road signs. Keep up the great driving
😂😂 here we are a little “flexible”! Thanks mate! 💪💪💪

I do not care about about the "quirks" it is a wonderful car and focused in way I didn't know a sedan could be.
totally agree. I'll be holding mine as well. 62000 miles is a very good value. i've got roughy 30,000
I have a 17 Q4 with 19k on it ,bought it last year with 13k ,absolutely love it!
Thanks a lot for appreciating!
I hit the like on your first laugh driving the Guilia. The only thing you did not mention is that AR first build Qv Guilia and then the rest of the series that
is based on the QV .
Thanks a lot Nick! Oh you’ll be amazed with it! The Giulietta 1750 is thing of joy but the veloce will be addictive! Congratulations!!!
And btw your english is very good.
thanks a million mate!!!!!!
Agree with you totally. Choosing a motorcar should not be about the other ICE, that is how big the LCD touch screen is, but how it drives, handles and perform. The lesser driver's aid the better.
Picking up a ‘23 Estrema next week in Alfa Rosso. Could not be more excited.
That’s cool! And the color is simple the best on the Giulia 😊

Complimenti!
Love the video, I’m trying to get one soon.
Please do more videos in English. I have a Giulia ti sport and I enjoy the videos
thanks Carlos, I'll try! I am working on a new content
👋
Ormai mi vedo pure i vostri video in English 😁.
👋👋👋👋👋👋
grande Antonio
@@luca__2649 Thank you 😁
If you want an UNRELIABLE CAR, buy ANYTHING GERMAN !!!
FORZA ALFA BABY !!!
THE KING IS BACK !!!
Is alfa reliable?? I want to get one, I have a infiniti Q50 bro. I want a alfa but I'm curious of the reliability
@@carlossotelo1507 American here. So, you want reliability? Then buy Japanese and be happy! However, if you want to be entertained daily, then buy Italian! I've owned/driven Alfa Romeos for 52 of my 80 years. I currently own/drive a 2018 Giulia Ti Sport Q2. [At my age, I still drive it like I stole it ... LOL!] Life is too short to not drive an Alfa Romeo! Ciao!
It’s true. I have the Giulia Veloce - my first Alfa. I have owned German cars and they are unreliable. I love my Giulia. Best car I’ve owned.
@@wallacem41atgmail epic comment....you made my day ❤
@@wallacem41atgmail Thank you for your comment, you made my day too. I would like to meet you.
Awesome review, I bought my first Alfa Romeo... which is a Giulia and I absolutely love the thing! What watch is that on your L wrist? Sieko?
Thank you Tommy! Glad to hear that u love Giulia as well 😎 the watch is actually a pretty basic Casio, i don’t even remember the model but ti is a one Of those “vintage casio” on Amazon 😀 (even though mine is actually quite old)
Luca, I am in Canada and because of your review I think I am going to get one of these. Great review!
Thanks Ray. Really flattered
Very interesting video, thank you for sharing your experiences and honest opinions. 👍
thanks a lot Saji
Great video and very informative! I think this is exactly the car I want - thanks!
thanks David!
Great video! Thank you for your honest review! I am thinking of getting this engine Giulia next after my Giulietta 1.4 170BHP. Big jump but I am sure I will enjoy it :D
Thanks a lot! It will be a big improvement! Thing of joy
@@luca__2649 Reliability wise after those 2 things that you mentioned, has it been good for you?
@@michlep258 yep. Just had a problem with an engine warning light last Summer and after 2 months troubleshooting by the customer service turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor. After changing the sensor and updating the related software (all done by the dealer at no charge) car runs smooth. Even driving often like a hooligan no problem whatsoever! Great car. The only real problem is the central armrest padding quality. Affer 2 years it is way too worn out. I’ll need to restore it in another year i reckon. Annoying but definitely can live with it.
In the cabin you can hear giulia growl I loves mine
I have only the 200hp but the reaction from people is amazing they come to look at it as they are still pretty rare here in the UK but she is wonderful my first alfa romeo
@@milowales7899 indeed! Even own here in Italy where they are less rare still a lot of people are taking pictures or posing questions about it. In the UK where you seldom see them I can imagine. In Nottingham I used to see a red one pretty often. It was quite of a head turner 😃
Awesome video, keep the interesting facts coming.
thanks Fadel! 💪🏻
Loved driving in Italy 🇮🇹 just wish it was in a Giulia
glad to hear! 🙂 where did you drive?
@@luca__2649 Went from Nice through Monte Carlo down to Monterosso al Mare. And also Roma to San Gimignano and through most of Toscana. Have also been in Puglia, where my “genitori” are from and Verona for Vinitaly but did not do the driving on those occasions. Great video! Statti bene.
@@cmemorra beautiful road trip! 👏 Statti bene 😃
Finezza italiana !!!! non viene copiato, nasce !!!! Ιtalian finesse !!!! it is not copied, it is born !!!!
esatto 😎
I don't mind getting a 2.0 Veloce Ti, less road tax, better mileage and cheaper maintenance. I can live with 280 hp, nobody drive above 200 kph all the time.
very true! A manageable daily driver that has still more power than the large majority of other cars, especially here in southern europe.
Aaaarghhh I need to get one of these to keep my 1966 Giulia TI company ....
Definitely 😎
Tnx Luca. Ofcourse I like better when you speak Italian, with subtitles perhaps, but, interesting video. I am in doubt about 2 cars, the Giulia and the BMW 3GT. I am not against German cars, neighter Italian cars. Only French cars ... ;-)
I wanted to buy a petrol 180 hp Giulia, but the engine did not sound nice.
Great Video. This is needed for sure. Ciao
Thanks a lot!!!!! Ciao 🙂
