Love my Squadra Tune. I was without my car for a week. Normally it should be 5 days for anyone that sends their ECU to be tuned. UPS didn't pick up my ECU from Alfissimo on time and I got screwed and had to spend the weekend, THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND, without my car. Jason at Alfissimo did make it right and offered me $100 credit towards any other purchase. Make sure to include $100 when pricing out buying a tune to FEDEX your ECU to Alfissimo so they get it next day and can get your ECU back to you ASAP! I used Modded Motors and a few other channels to make my decision to get my tune. Best decision I have ever made w/ my car. I came from a JB4 tune and it's night and day difference in the feel. The car feels so much smoother and stronger now.
Awsome video guys! Super informative I personally have had the Squadra tune since 38k miles now going on 58k almost. No issues ever loved the power gate option and the performance!
This is by far my favorite video yet. Collaborating with Jason was a great idea. He’s very knowledgeable and knows his way around Alfas. I will be going with the Squadra bench tune soon. I will make sure he knows that you sent me! When I eventually pull the trigger….
awesome video! Jason did my Squadra tune. He is such a cool guy and super knowledgeable. Squadra is the best tune and have zero regrets. Looking forward to the ST Hybrid Turbo!
A bit confused, at 11:50. Is he saying that we need Race mode to get any of the hp/torque performance gains from the squadra tune? Or is there just extra tuning for a race mode for those that have it? I was originally under the impression that in Dynamic mode the performance gains would still be there.
Real good episode, it was cool to hear from Jason especially. He's been very helpful to me with all my dumbness with my modding. Highly recommend Alfissimo to anybody that wants to mod in a quality way. Thanks kids!
Can't wait till I have the spare funds to get my tune done. Even with your previous video and the sketchiness of Alfa future we are going to enjoy the car and keep it for the long term as long as there are no major issues.
Great video about Squadra. I haven spoken to Stefan several times, also about the Challenges to tune the Giulia. Can't wait to have the Giulia tuned including the Race mode 🏁
Already been a year? Damn. Excited to get mine. I have the active suspension so it will be some extra steps putting race mode in when i get squadra tune. Going to be expensive but hopefully worth it
Question for whoever can answer (@ModdedMotors, or Jason, or @alfmaods2.0T, or anyone with the Squadra tune), how has the squadra tune affected your fuel efficiency (MPGs)? If nobody knows I think that would be valuable data to gather. I personally keep close track of my fuel efficiency because it matters to me for obvious reasons. As much as I would love to get this tune, I would definitely need to know at least an estimated affect on my cars MPGs before making the jump.
Has no effect on MPG. You may notice that the MPG reduces after the tune but that is likely due to the owner driving it harder because it's way more fun to drive. ;) D mode is tuned mode, N/A are standard power. I have not seen lost MPG in D mode and normal driving. Nothing to worry about here.
Awesome channel. I just recently did the squadra tune from a JB4 and go pedal. I do have race mode done as well, my tune came with two files , one without race mode and one with it, obviously used the race mode file, I will say that the squadra tune runs nice but without the go pedal not as much fun as JB4 and gopedal, i mentioned this to squadra and they said they do not adjust the lag in throttle and said I need to do the transmission tune to get better throttle. What are your thoughts
Multiair Tuning and Development so far is the only company that has a cam but I have yet to see any real results from it. Ideal Race has expressed interest in making a cam if enough people show interest in it.
Front Hood is Fire. Wondering if Alfissimo has the Q4 suspension ready (/w sunroof >< )? Looking forward to that. Bleed Screw is a must; props for the design.
Does Alfissimo put out an engine fault code reader, so you can define the check engine source? Or, do they just make performance upgrades? AND do you recommend a dyno provider if I want to measure the HP on the dynanometer?
You don't need any of this if you don't want it. You can do the tune without it. If you decide later you want to add these then yes we would have to retune the ECU but at a minimal cost about $100 to retune.
Great video man, very informative. I have one question to ask. Does Alfa Romeo care about the tune? Like if I were to buy the squadra tune and my car broke down, would Alfa care if they saw it while checking my car out?
in my experience they didn’t say anything, really depends on dealer. it’s riskier getting the power gate option, i would recommend getting the ecu benchmark which would be better and more hidden i could say if that’s your issue.
The white nose actually looks pretty good, but why don't you extend the white back onto the fenders like the GTAm livery cars have. Having it end at the front bumper means the lines are not straight. Just a thought...
Hai messo il muso della GTA sulla Giulia 2.0? Hai fatto una mappa della cenralina? Have you put the nose of the GTA on the Giulia 2.0? Have you made a map of the control unit?
Hey I’m planning on squadrons tuning my 2020 giulia soon. I have a muffler delete and resonator removal. How much louder would it make my car with the tune?
Tune doesn’t add sound, adds performance. You’ll no longer have a rev limiter so you can rev higher, but if you want sound a downpipe would be your best bet.
@@ModdedMotors no no I understand that the tune doesn’t add sound lol, sorry if I worded it wrong. But I mean how much difference would it be when revving on neutral or park.
are these detectable by the dealer? i want to tune mine soooo bad but i only have 24k miles still under factory warranty and dont want to blow that out of the water 😢
99.9% of the time. NO. Not at all. I have had many customers in the dealer for heavy diagnostic work and they never saw a thing. These are the best cars to tune. I would not worry muc about it.
Ooo I’ll answer this one as best as I possibly can, I think euro makes some cool products. I personally wouldn’t ever run their tune again, but other people seem to be happy. There’s only a few people who’ve made the switch and it’s a completely different car.
As my daily driver, I think ill send my ECU in right before going on vacation in Japan for 2 weeks and jope its back by the time I'm home. Otherwise its time to uber to work 😂
The only downside that I see about squadra is that they are "alone" in Europe. They have no collaboration with garages in Germany, Italy, France, Balkans etc. That being said, it is not ideal for somebody to visit the tuner and have some SW updates or tunes done in their car, unless they travel quite some km to meet them in Netherlands... I would expect a better network especially in Italy where they have quite a lot of base model Giulias...
One reason the powergate option is available. Or mail the ECU to them. No problem. Too many collaborations with other garages etc creates more headache.
I mentioned this above: 99.9% of the time. NO. Not at all. I have had many customers in the dealer for heavy diagnostic work and they never saw a thing. These are the best cars to tune. I would not worry much about it. Dealers are unaware.
Squadra tuning is the way to go. Watching fast4alfa, alfamods and you guys. Theres a reason why you guys all run Squadra.
1000% and we’ve all tried other tunes 🤝

I really need the squadra tune now
Oh soooo worth it!
Exactly the information I needed thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Really detailed and great information. Hope you guys test their transmission tune and hybrid turbo as well.
That transmission tune if definitely next on the list lol!
Thank you, many questions answered 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
I was thinking of going with eurocompulsion, but now squadra is looking kinda good!
I promise you’ll thank me for going Squadra 🤝

Why no cams for the 2.0T like other makes? Genuinely curious.
There’s a company that does make cams , I’ve considered running them just not too sure

JB4 for piggyback or Squadra for flash
