I switched to Samsung in February, after 14 years in Apple’s phones . I’m not a tech professional and had a hard time learning about clouds, transfer and everything else. I missed videos teaching the step to step how to do it. But now, with my android, I’m really happy! Thank you for share your experiences!

Freedom of brand/device is the most interesting point.
I find it most ironic that in the USA freedom and rights are held so high but consumer choice and behaviour reflects the opposite in this tech space

So true. I recently changed from my IOS to Android, and I was afraid so much that I will not get used to it, it will not be safe. I don't see something in my everyday use that is not safe. I totally agree with you about these myths for the first time I can tell that I enjoy my device so much. I don't have any problems with it , on the contrary, I can say that my life is easier the way I use my phone right now.

3:50 android phones have quick share built-in, if you have a windows pc/laptop/device u can install quick share through the Microsoft store and then u can share files between your windows and android devices the same way as u do with airdrop , and because quick share is developed by the oems its more reliable that 3rd party workarounds

@errole generally and vaguely apple is better right that's what u all say but when u go in reddit, iPhone users report as many bugs as Samsung users isn't that crazy? I mean apple should be better, they make the os and the chip themselves and ios has less features than android so less features to maintain stable ,yet the only difference is the cameras on social media and a handful of games lol

@codelava yee , quick share on Samsung phones is same as other androids but it also offers qr and link generators.( it uploads on Samsung cloud the file u wanna share and gives u qr or link , u can let someone scan the qr from your phones screen and get to the website to download the files.. this is helpful if the other person has an iPhone wich doesn't have quick share. And link is the same as qr but it gives u a link instead and u send it through text wherever u want) u can upload up to 10gb and the files get deleted after 2 days and it's free there's no cloud subscription. I use this feature and lot to share images at their original quality and beats. I wouldn't need link sharing if in Greece people used telegram or WhatsApp instead of instagram to communicate. But qr still very usefull.

Of course an S24U blows a 5 year-old iPhone out of the water. In even comparison they are much closer. iPhone 16 Pro scored 72 on photography test and S24U scored 70. Slightly lower but well in the margin of error to say they are equal.

People forget about the learning curve. When I switched over to iOS with the iPhone 11 series from the Note 9, I was frustrated and annoyed because I didn't know where Apple put stuff. I'd always used Android. It took a few months but I slowly became more comfortable and it got easier. The same is true in the reverse. I recently bought a Samsung for a 2nd phone, both to have an extra phone just in case, and to refesh myself on the changes to Android over the years. So I'm experiencing the frustrations all over! I'm used to Apple and now have to re-learn Android! I like them both. Strength and weaknesses in both as we are all aware.

Although I’m full Apple at the moment, I did want to add one security aspect. On Android you can always install encryption software for files etc. Sure you could use Apple’s Advanced Data Protection but you do not have control or options. This was one comment from a friend of mine in cybersecurity. I have to admit, as a fan I am now feeling trapped in this ecosystem.

After 7 years of using Samsung flagships only, I switched (back) to Iphone. Mainly because of camera problems, "we'll fix it with updates" lies and phones losing their value pretty fast (no trade in in my country). Zero regrets, the only thing I miss is split screen and that's about it. 4:47 The biggest reason I use android!
I don't like my phone/computer telling me how to use them
    Also at 10:21 Freedom
With android You can go with multiple different brands, and MOST IMPORTANT THING is every single brand/company has 3 different SEGMENT
Unlike apple who only makes high end products
With android, take Samsung for example They have Galaxy S series as their flagship, then A series for the middle end and M series for the low end
Xiaomi has 3 brands; Xiaomi itself, Redmi and Poco
If you already have a Samsung flagship and need a secondary phone but you don't want to spend your money on another high end phone and don't want to get another Samsung maybe because you want to try what other brand offers. You have a lot of choices
Also every single android phone is highly costumisable
You can change literally anything from the Theme, or you just want to change font, or just the icon, etc. You can do it
Not only the looks, You can customise your phone all the way to the Operating System itself like installing a Custom ROM and run your phone with absolutely no google services
I watch this video using my Poco X6 which is also my daily driver, for whatever reason I prefer this over my S23. I only use my S23 for banking apps, saving my passwords and storing important notes since it has KNOX and Secure Folder.
I do my work using Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro and Windows Laptop.
I also have a cheap Sony wireless headphone, Huawei Freebuds 5 and a random generic wireless keyboard.
Every single one of them works flawlessly with every single one on my device.
Except for the Windows PC of course, because Windows being Windows. They love messing up the drivers. :v

For me Apple Pay’s simplicity is something that I haven’t been able to emulate with Google pay or Samsung pay in the past. It’s a small thing for some people but was huge for me. If this was fixed and more widely accepted online and in person I would be compelled to switch. I’ve used both android and Apple and I think the points made here in the video are valid. I do miss having great battery life at an affordable price. I was eyeing some of the one plus devices for this with their blazing fast charging as well. Intuitive controls on android also seem to be overlooked. Apple isn’t bad but it’s a noticeably better experience on android. However, Apple Watch is unmatched in my opinion and app quality is better on iOS. So it’s hard to get the best of the best in one phone. I wish a device existed that aggregates all of this in one lol 😂

I realized I wasn’t using half of the phones features. Meanwhile Cheap Phones got a whole lot better in every way. I couldn’t decide my next new phone after the Note 4 so I bought a very cheap $220 Moto. Play plus to hold me over while I decided. I liked the phone so much I kept it a year. I upgraded to the next MOTO G Plus and was using the Camera Wrist Twist and Shake for Torch light on a daily basis. In 2021 I bought the MOTO Edge and am still using it and it’s still like new and has never gotten buggy or slowed down same with the previous Motos. Samsungs were slow after a year and they were the top of the line phones. I restored them many times. I still get security updates on the Edge and am rocking the latest version of android. It’s what you really need. Over what you think you should have.

I have had no issues with my pixel phone and I like the fact that Google makes the OS and the hardware. I have had no issues migrating from one phone to another. I have had issues restoring a backup to the same phone and that seems to be a Google problem. I have had no problems restoring from WhatsApp and I don't care so much about restoring anything from telegram. The problem with Android is some apps can opt out of certain things being backed up and that is frustrating.

From a corporate perspective I think the reason Androids are collectively viewed a "less safe" is for 3 main reasons:
    1) unlocked boot loaders.
    2) side loading apps.
    3) Chinese made phones.
These represent attack vectors that companies would rather not deal with. From personal experience corporate email is only allowed on iPhones and certain select Android devices.

From a corporate perspective, Samsung scores better specifically and they are considered more safe according to several defense and security organizations including NSA. Samsung's hardware level Knox security does not rely on any corporates for data protection and third party corporates can use that security service according to their needs. And,
      1) Samsung Kernel is secured by Knox on hardware level hence bootloader is not unlocked and any unauthorized modification will disable the KNox security, clearing out all your personal info encrypted by Knox, so nobody has access to it if stolen.
      2) Side loading depends on the user solely and the system does not allow any app to run APKs by themselves unless the authorization for the same is specifically given to it by the user. Moreover, a simple scanning will find out all the vulnerabilities which is not the case in iOS.
      3) Samsung is Korean and like all the other manufacturers including Apple, their phones can be manufactured anywhere including China, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, Korea, US etc but that does not mean they are Chinese as R&D is done on their own country only just like Apple. Also , Samsung is a Hardware company that sells their hardware to all the other manufacturers.
Android is considered "unsafe" collectively due to few reasons,
      1) Cheap Chinese brands that charges small amount upfront for the hardware but will not waste a single second selling your ad data for targeted malicious ads
      2) Still a misconception peddled by Apple users that open source framework is vulnerable and Apple is more secure
In India, most of the corporate uses samsung phones only for work as they were rated highly by DISA in terms of security.
Hope, I was able to clear out few of your misconceptions.

The s23 Ultra is a good phone. You will get updates to at least 2028 if I'm not mistaken. Furthermore, it's not loaded with all the AI crap these companies are trying to push onto everyone like the new s24 Ultra is. The s24 will receive seven years for updates. I've used both Android and Apple devices and I like both. However, Android's operating system is just flat out way better. It really isn't even close. More freedom to do what you want to do and you have so many companies that produce phones with Android on them. I mean you have the Google Pixel, the Motorola's of the world, the Samsung's, the Sony's, the Asus phones, the Nokia's, OnePlus, Nothing Phone, and the list goes on and on. You have choices! Which is something you do not have with Apple. Especially when they release the iPhone 16 with that Apple Intelligence crap they're going to be pushing. I say be bold. Try it. I personally think you will enjoy it.

FACT CHECK #2: "It's too complicated." This is a subjective assessment of course. You are correct that normal user doing very normal things, it's almost identical for Android and iOS. However, doing a "little bit more" ends up being much harder on Android. Setting up "power user features" on iOS is much easier because the ecosystem has it automatically and immediately configued. On Android you are lucky if it's only changing some settings, often it is also downloading some software and doing settings on multiple devices to get it working. This is just enough hassle that you can be sure you can't do the extra features with a new friend you meet at the party.

Also the part about the file transfer, on iPhone you can shoot a video directly on a usb drive.. so you only have problem how to copy it if you are dumb. Because you recorded to the phone, not directly to a separated drive what you can just give to your editor..

    • @Äpple-pie-5k

@@MadeByCrisYT Yeah thanks for asking, that's ANOTHER issue. At parties you don't even know what version of Android the other person has or what things were put in or taken out of the OS by the manufacturer. Which kills about 60% of the things that iOS people can just automagically do without even worrying about it.
As a 2-phoner it's always 100% easier shooting something over to an iOS person. On Android I'm like, explaining to a drunk person to go in settings and find X, which might be organized differently based on their Android version, then OK I want you to download this utility, OK now, do this, and guess what... the moment is gone.
      Android just plain SUCKS

I regret switching to iPhone, it's just been the antithesis of how I enjoyed Samsung, one, in my country imessage is not big, we use WhatsApp, same goes for Face time and Airdrop to some extent, so when you remove these three piliars, it becomes a really basic phone.

I’ve experienced the opposite. I went from the s22 ultra to the iPhone 15 pro max last year and I’m enjoying iOS far far more than I thought. Super polished, the animations are great, Face ID is amazing, live activities, video recording super impressive. I do not miss Samsung and won’t be getting back anytime soon, they’re packed with features that I honestly never used. If I do end up getting an Android in the future, it’ll probably be a Pixel out of curiosity.
